Whispering Pines Church (WPC) is one of the local churches in Coal Creek Canyon. Last month they offered a range of activities including a Thanksgiving dinner, game night, and men’s and women’s Bible studies.

The game night is hosted on the second Saturday of every month. In the Fellowship Hall during the last game night there were a variety of board games, such as Ticket-to-Ride, Sequence, Dominos, and playing cards. All those who showed up gathered around tables in the Fellowship Hall and enjoyed the evening of playing games and eating toffee apples together.

The Thanksgiving meal included two other churches from the canyon, the Coal Creek Canyon Catholic Church and Spirit Mountain Lutheran Church.

After the service everyone gathered in the Fellowship Hall. All who were there enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal together. There were rows of tables that spread to one side of the room. The tables were full of food like turkey, ham, potatoes, and other favorite Thanksgiving foods.

This month for activities the church has a Christmas tree lighting event. This will take place on December 3, starting at 7 p.m. This event is always fun to come to. People can spend time with friends and get into the Christmas spirit.
