Come to the caucus — your voice matters!

Dear Editor,

In a democracy it is up to the people to speak truth to power, to care about the least of us, to show up. And to vote every time we get a chance.

The Boulder County Democratic caucus is March 7th. It is the first step in this most important election year where we vote on neighbors to be delegates to the County Assembly which is March 14th. Delegates at assembly vote to put candidates for our countywide offices such as commissioner and county clerk on the June primary ballot.

Also at our assembly, delegates are chosen to go to the State Assembly to choose which candidates will be on the primary ballot for US Senator, Governor and our Attorney General and Secretary of State to protect Colorado from attacks of all kinds from the administration in Washington.

We will send representatives to the Congressional District 2 Assembly at which Joe Neguse is seeking another term to be our champion in the House of Representatives.

I urge registered Democrats to attend the caucus on March 7th - starting with registration at 11:30 a.m. and ending by 3:15 p.m. We have caucus sites right here in the high country. The caucus site for precincts 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, and 907 will be at the Nederland Middle-Senior High School.

Find your site at bcdp.co/caucus2026. Your voice matters.
