Come one, come all to Nederlands’ first Bizarre Cat Bazaar!

The Bizarre Cat Bazaar celebrates Fred, our historical Honorary Nederland Mayor. Fred, a stray who wandered into Town, was beloved and fed by many throughout the late 70s and 80s. She won the hearts of locals at election time as a “write in” on the ballot, and won as Honorary Mayor! Visit Fred’s headstone, it’s in front of Town Hall.
The Bizarre Cat Bazaar features a variety of performances throughout the day; filling the stage and event grounds with regional talent including Mountain Movers, led by our own Angela Delsanter. There will be a magical, mystery Kid’s Parade mid-day, with Quill the Clown, Face Painters and more! The Cattastic Cat Costume Contest will be emceed by the one and only Heather Taylor. First prize is $500!
To knock it outta the park, come dance with our beloved, energetic Los Cheesies in cat costumes!
