Coal Creek unveils crafts, goodies

CCC Markets hosted the Coal Creek Canyon Summer Market at the Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association (CCCIA), 31528 Highway 72, Golden, Colorado, 80403, on Saturday, June 4, 2022. The event included more than 20 vendors with local crafters, artisans and businesses. They had hourly door prizes and many awesome vendors.

Artists who have displayed their crafts at previous CCCIA shows included Chris McAllister who brought her home-made dog collars, Coal Creek Canyon bags and T-shirts.

Kathy Bremers brought her paintings, which she said are water colors.

Kathy Bremers has been painting the beautiful natural surroundings of the Nederland area in watercolor and acrylics since 2005. Sharing her passion for art and nature through her paintings and teaching watercolor encourages adults and children to make their own connection and brings Kathy great satisfaction and joy. Bonnie Dirito brought little model homes made in great detail. Each one, a little more than a big matchbox, contained details of the inside of homes with beds, kitchens and even children. She said she can make them in a couple of hours, but one of the models that features a piano keyboard could take her a couple of days to replicate the piano keys.

With Lucky Old Sun, Heather Page had jewelry, earrings and rings. Imma Schickler brought homemade, lined cloth bags.

Candace Stutson with Wildflower Soap brought handmade soap. Wildflower Soap takes a natural approach to soap making. All their soaps are handcrafted in small batches, with love, using the highest quality ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, goat’s milk, buttermilk and natural essential oils.

Silversmith Sarah Schneider brought her products. She has been working on her craft since 1998 and lives in Wondervu. She has been in Coal Creek Canyon since 2017.

 

Jamey, representative for April Morris, president of product development and co-founder of Health Naturally, displayed beauty products April made. They are all natural and include CBD products for pain relief. April can be reached at april@healthnaturally.com.

Rob Scroggins with Denver West Deli in Golden brought some delicious snacks and drinks for guests to enjoy. He has been in business for 10 years.
