The Coal Creek Canyon Community Hall was filled with resident artists and vendors for a new arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 4. The event featured more than 20 vendors and hourly door prizes.
Organizer Chris Mcallister who has lived in the Canyon for six years, said this is the first year the Community Hall hosted this event, after several neighbors got together to organize the event. Mcallister herself has for sale homemade dog collars, bandanas, and dog-treat Christmas ornaments.
Artist Kathy Bremers brought her Rocky Mountain-inspired watercolors and acrylic paintings. She said one of her paintings of a train reminds her of the Durango-Silverton train; it was her first opportunity to work with smoke and steam. She can be reached at https.www.facebook.com/KLBremers.

Stephanie Barlow moved from Atlanta to Coal Creek and has been knitting for several years, but is just starting to sell her knitted items. Mel Forma Szewska from Coal Creek brought jewelry and candles.
Jim and Cindy Johnson introduced their baskets, which are imported and made from elephant grass. The company started in Boulder but now has a wholesale shop in Nederland. Their phone number is 715-892-7529 and baskets can be ordered through cindy.johnson2372@yahoo.com.

Rob Scroggins with Canyon Sammy’s said his business will deliver meals to Coal Creek Canyon residents. Food can be ordered online. They have a restaurant in Golden called the Denver West Deli.
