The Peak to Peak Trio performed their second concert on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Nederland Community Presbyterian Church. The trio consists of Kajsa Teitelbaum on piano, Brune Macary on violin and Christine Mallery on cello.
Fingers danced on the piano keys and bows danced on the strings as the musicians played pieces composed by A. Vivaldi, B. Bartok, W. Peterson-Berger, M. de Falla, P. Bazelaira, and A. Piazolla. It was a concert they titled Dances from Around the World. It started with A. Vivaldi that we all recognize and ended with a tango by A. Piazolla that made you want to stand up and start dancing. All the pieces were performed beautifully, with incredible talent and professionalism.
The trio performs for the benefit of an area nonprofit and for the love of music. With the success of the first two concerts, let’s hope they join together for more. These three women come together beautifully to bring classical music to Nederland.
