Dear Editor,
I have a correction and a point of clarification regarding last week’s feature, High Demand, Limited Space.
Correction: The article quotes me as suggesting combined usage for the old town shop, which would include alternative housing. Apparently the author misunderstood my quote, or took it out of context, as I was referring to the potential for a larger project that could include the nearby trailer park, in the event the land was available for purchase and money was available for that purchase. I did not say that the Old Town Shop parcel was suitable for anything except a park, and any improvements available to the public that a park might include.
Point of clarification: The author speaks of “fears” of the people that if the CBD were developed, it would fall into the hands of a single entity. A single owner already owns most of the CBD.
