Christ the King Church (CTK) in mid-Gilpin County offers services and events to the Black Hawk community and beyond in person or online via YouTube. Pastor Tom Davidson and Associate Pastor Josh Bloom are the church’s pastoral staff.
Christ the King Church is home to a youth group that meets for pizza on Thursday nights. The group also attends fun events and participates in several activities. Bible Study is Wednesday nights at 6:45 p.m.
Gentlemen interested in getting involved with the church can join the “Mountain Warriors” men’s group. The group meets on Saturdays, except the first Saturday of the month, at 8 a.m. for Breakfast and Bible Study.
A women’s study group, when women gather for outings and to enjoy fellowship together, meets periodically. Worship is on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. All are also welcome to sing songs, read scripture, and pray together on the last Saturday of every month at 6 p.m.
Christ the King is a place to gather and worship. The church hosts many yearly events, including its annual August motorcycle ride and free “Women Arise” women’s retreat in November.
With Easter, the pastor’s favorite service, around the corner, CTK plans for a memorable service and some fun for the kids, including an Easter egg hunt, games, and more. Other family festivities include a Christmas celebration with a Live Nativity afternoon event with ornament crafts and a flat foam nativity scene with a faux stained glass background.
