Cheryl Kresak

Cheryl Lyn Kresak was born on July 19, 1966, to Frank and Connie Kresak. She passed away on August 30, 2022, in her home in Central City, Colorado.

Cheryl attended high school in Thornton, Colorado. She attended beauty school to learn how to color and cut hair. She cut and colored hair for many residents in Central City and beyond.

She lived in Denver, Thornton, and Central City, Colorado, as well as Burbank, Illinois and Alameda, California.

She worked at Annie Oakley’s for over 6 years, and at different casinos in Gilpin County, as well as the mine. She also worked at Nederland Veterinary Hospital. She sold her hand-crafted wares at the Woodbury Collective and at her work. Cheryl and her mom, Connie, also sold her wares at the Levit Street Market. She crocheted 101 blankets for DenverHealth Center Pediatric Unit and was recognized by the Governor at the Governor’s mansion. She also volunteered at the Wild Animal Sanctuary.

Cheryl will be remembered as a very outgoing person who could talk to anyone. She was incredibly inclusive of everyone. If you were good to her, she was good to you.

There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms Street, Lakewood, Colorado.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Central City Elks Lodge, 113 Main St, Central City, on Sunday, September 25 from 2-7 p.m.
