Mayor Jeremy Fey called the Central City Council (CCC) meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5. In attendance were Mayor Jeremy Fey, Mayor Pro-tem Kara Tinucci, Alderman Jeff Aiken, Alderman Marcia Enloe, and Alderman Todd Williams.

Staff present included City Manager Daniel R. Miera, City Clerk Reba Bechtel, and City Attorney Marcus McCaskin. Gilpin County Commissioner Sandy Hollingsworth was also in attendance in the audience.

During Public Comment, Jack Hidahl commended Jeff Aiken for the single-handed work he did on the rock wall restoration on 4th High. He also mentioned a horse trailer that was stolen from Casey Street and that the neighborhood community has met to discuss the theft.

During Council Comments, Aiken said he was glad the Casey neighborhood responded to the theft and maybe other neighborhoods should network with them.

Williams shared his hope that everyone voted on Super Tuesday.

Fey said he likes the idea of a group text message for community members. Miera mentioned the Nextdoor app and that residents can use that as a platform.

Fey thanked Commissioner Hollingsworth for attending and that he looks forward to further cooperation with the County.

The Board adjourned into Executive Session at 7:18 p.m.

The next City of Central Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Central City Hall, 141 Nevada Street, second floor; or online via Zoom. Information can be found on the City website, centralcity.colorado.gov/ meetings.
