Kimberly Habicht, Central City. At a council meeting on April 17, Central City Council awarded A-1 Chip Seal Company a bid for construction on parts of the Central City Parkway.
The bid was for $246,895.12, and was chosen by the council out of three possible alternatives. The project involves the addition of layers of chip seal and fog coats to portions of Central City Parkway.
During the same meeting, Timothy Casey, a resident of Central City, was appointed as an alternate on the Historic Preservation Commission. Casey will bring to the commission his experience with surveying, constructing and restoring historic properties.
