The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association has three events planned for the Thanksgiving season.

The Association is sponsoring a free Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Meals will be available for take out with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. The CCCI is located at 31528 Highway 72.

Due to a sharp increase of COVID-19 cases in the Canyon, the Board has decided to return to drivethrough service for Thanksgiving this year. “The safety of our neighbors is a top priority as we celebrate what we are thankful for this year,” they stress. The next day, November 26, the Last Stand Tavern at 32138 Highway 72, will feature a Black Friday Craft Show and Sale from noon to 5 p.m. Organizers say “It will be the best local shopping of the year with local crafters and artisans selling a variety of beautiful items just in time for the holidays.”

It will include jewelry, gemstones, paintings, ornaments, candles, soaps, watercolors, photographs, birdhouses, and gifts for pets. “Bring your family, friends, or your pets for a holiday photo by Ridgeline Peaks Photography.”

The Coal Creek Holiday Market will be on December 4, at the CCCI Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have more than 20 vendors and hourly door prizes. Visit the event page on Facebook at CCC Holiday Market.
