Naomi Swift, Nederland. Even a beautiful carousel in a little mountain town has been affected by a pandemic. Because of lower ridership The Carousel of Happiness will be raising ticket prices to $3 per ride. This will go into effect on January 1, 2021.
Punch cards will be available for frequent riders, $25 for 10 rides.
The Carousel of Happiness has 56 exquisitely hand carved animals spinning on a restored 1910 Looff carousel. It all moves with the music of a 1913 Wurlitzer band organ. One cannot help but smile while riding the carousel in Nederland.
You can also support The Carousel, which is a non-profit arts and culture organization, by shopping their online or in person store and by making a donation.
