Caribou Mountain Preschool celebrates the holidays

Posted

Sara Sandstrom-Kobi, Nederland.  Morning and afternoon students at Caribou Mountain Preschool celebrated the holidays on Friday December 21, 2018. Parents were invited to join the celebration in their classroom at Nederland Elementary. Teachers, Meaghan McLuckie and Debbie Garrison, warmly welcomed all the visitors.

The festivities started with the students performing their interpretation of the book, The Mitten by Jan Brett. All students had a role. All parents and friends smiled as the three and four year olds did their part. The preschoolers then performed three musical numbers: Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, Jingle Bells and Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Adorable child-made antlers were worn and jingle bells rung.

After the program the kids decorated gingerbread cookies with frosting and sprinkles… in some cases, lots of sprinkles. Everyone enjoyed the cookies, popcorn, hot chocolate and juice.

This celebration was a wonderful way to end 2018 for this group of preschoolers. They worked hard to learn the songs and their parts in the play. The parents and teachers beamed with pride as they saw their little ones’ accomplishments.
