How long have you lived in Central City? 18 years

What specific training or education have you received relevant to the position? Presently an Alderman for Central City.
Briefly describe your current career and home life. I am retired from GF Gaming after 21 years of service. I live alone with my Shichon Elliott and my kitty TK.
List the local boards and civic or volunteer activities in which you have been involved and the dates of service. 501c3 for volunteer fire department of Central, Planning Commission, Gilpin Ambulance Authority, Urban Renewal Authority and City Council.
Have you attended Central City Council and/or other local government meetings? Yes
How would you improve the professional experience of Central City staff? I believe that our staff does a phenomenal job.
What do you see as the major issues facing Central City? How would you begin to address them? The biggest issue right now is with RCI. I look at facts that are presented and I listen to our residents.
As an elected official, what would be your top three goals for the city and county in the next year? To see the ongoing issues with RCI through, to get G3 gaming going + see development. Infrastructure (fix roads + sidewalks).
What would you prefer regarding the location of sexually oriented businesses in Central City – Main Street, or presently zoned Industrial area? Other suggestions? Just the Industrial zone.
What is your opinion on G3 gaming development in Central City? I believe that it will give Central City the boost that it needs to survive.
How would you collaborate with other Central City or Gilpin County departments and organizations? Discuss the issues at hand and come to a positive conclusion for all parties involved.
Why do you want to hold the office for which you are running? Have you run for/held political office before? If so, where and when? I would like to continue serving the residents of Central City.
Will you be able to meet the time requirements of the office? Absolutely
How have you, and/or how will you, operate with transparency and honesty in your role? I am always available for questions from our residents. And I will always do what I feel is right and best for the city and our community.
How will you handle conflict resolution, if elected? Listen to both/all parties and try to find common ground so that every party involved is satisfied with the outcome.
