Portions of the Boulder Ranger District Close Due to the Calwood Fire. Due to the Calwood Fire burning on the Boulder Ranger District, portions of the Roosevelt National Forest are now closed. The closure area starts at the Cameron Peak Fire Closure and runs south to Highway 119 (Boulder Canyon Road) and from the Forest boundary on the east to the Peak to Peak highway on the west. A map of the closed area is available at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/arp/alerts-notices/?aid=62734. This closure is in place for public safety and to support firefighting efforts.
Key trailheads and landmarks in the closure area include: Ceran Saint Vrain Trailhead, Coulson Gulch Trailhead, Bright Trailhead, Dry Saint Vrain Trailhead, and Mount Alto Picnic Area.
