Peak Perspectives

Calling all artists!

BLACK HAWK — It seems like things are coming up quickly. I can’t help but get excited about the 2026 Studio Tour, now in planning stages at The Mountain-Ear. This year will be our 4th annual Studio Tour.

The event was originally created by one of our amazing staff members back in 2023. It was a big year for us, tons of change happening with our new owner taking over and funding so many of these incredible events we manage. But this event, Studio Tour, is one we build from the ground up. The tour is our own way to offer artists, galleries, and visitors a chance to enjoy an incredible day in the mountains, at the peak of fall foliage (we always hope it’s the peak, but hard to determine in spring when we are planning).

Artists and galleries are officially invited to participate in the tour, by filling out our online form here: bit.ly/2026StudioTour. The event takes place September 19-20, 2026. Galleries need to submit by June 21 so we can include you in the Peak to Peak Visitor’s Guide.

Galleries are spaces that are open weekends or daily during regular hours every year. Artists can start submitting now through August 1. Artists with home studios simply need to be open the weekend of the tour.

The Tour is from Allenspark to Central City, including all of the communities and canyons in between. We have over a dozen artists already committed, along with several large studios.

The Mountain-Ear is your community source for news, covering where to be and what to see in the entire region since 1977.
