Barbara Lawlor, Nederland. Around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, a Pioneer Sand & Gravel semi tractor-trailer carrying a load of gravel went out of control on a switchback just south of Nederland and rolled onto its side, dumping about half the load of gravel in the road. Road blocks stopped both north and south traffic and the road is expected to be closed for the next three hours. School bus drivers have been notified. Traffic will be routed up Big Springs Road and onto the Peak to Peak at Peak View. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
