Snow is cold and wet and crucial to the people, animals and plants on the Front Range. Join us as we learn about snow and all of its properties and benefits. For ages 6-10 with an accompanying adult.

Wildlife Signs Hike for Seniors
Thursday, Feb. 24, 10 a.m.-noon
Near Lyons. Location provided when registering.
Join volunteer naturalists for this moderate hike to learn how to identify different species of wildlife by observing signs left on and off the trail. Bring along hiking poles and sturdy boots as you hike up the trail to observe one of Boulder County’s habitat hot spots.
Please call 303-678-6214 in advance if you plan to bring a group so we can provide enough naturalists to lead the hike. Registration required.
Wildlife in Winter Hike
Saturday, Feb. 26, 1-3 p.m.
Near Boulder. Location provided when registering.
Join volunteer naturalists for a hike in the high country to look for signs of wildlife activity, including tracks, scat, feathers, fur, and browse marks on trees. We will also learn about the many ways that wildlife survives winter in the Rocky Mountains. Ski or hiking poles are recommended due to possible icy trail conditions.Registration required.
Life in Boulder County During the Olden Days
The Cultural History team created a video series featuring tidbits of local history. Cultural history is the story of where and how people lived, worked, and played. Boulder County has several historic sites that have been preserved to show human history. Enjoy watching some of Boulder County’s heritage through these videos.
