The Boulder County Community Forestry Sort Yard program, a free log and slash disposal service, will open soon for the 2026 season.
County residents can drop off tree branches and logs free of charge at either sort yard location. Grass, leaves, weeds, pine cones, and pine needles in brown paper yard bags are also accepted.
Residents are asked to check the webpage for details on what is accepted at the sort yards and how to prepare materials.
