On Thursday, August 18, 2022, Robert James Carlisle, loved husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away. He was seventy- three.
Bob was born to Eleanor and Robert Carlisle in Manitou Springs, Colorado, on March 19, 1949. Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in Chemistry and Education. He met his wife, Penny Ann, at Broomfield Junior High School and they were married for 44 years.
Bob was best known for his sense of humor, his fierce determination to get things right, and his generous spirit. He enjoyed teaching high school science/ math students, he preferred tutoring college students, and he loved teaching his grandkids about how the world worked. He was a mentor to many students who then became life-long friends. He enjoyed anything outdoors: rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, star gazing, working in our forest, and riding his Harley. He was an avid fan of Survivor, NCIS, Criminal Minds and CSI – never missed any episodes.
Bob is survived by his wife, Penny Ann; his grandchildren, Sophie and Christian; and brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews. His daughter, Andrea, preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 17, 2022, from 3 – 6 p.m., at the Crystal Springs Brewing Company, 604 Main Street, Louisville, CO, 80027.
