On 9/1/22, an officer was advised of a coin purse theft that occurred at the Monarch Casino (488 Main Street), Black Hawk. There is an unidentified male suspect in the case and is pending further investigation.

On 9/1/22, at approximately 8:37 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Dakota Lot (245 Main Street) on a report of a lost car. Upon further information, the vehicle was stolen from the lot.

On 9/2/22, the Black Hawk Police Department took a report via telephone from a party whose credit cards were fraudulently used at the Lodge Casino. A male suspect was observed on video committing the crime. He has not been identified at this time.

On 9/2/22, at approximately 2:29 p.m., officers responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of found drugs. A female suspect was located and issued a citation.

On 9/2/22, The Black Hawk Police department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of stolen rings. A report was taken.

On 9/2/22, at approximately 6:45 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a theft that occurred on 8/31/22 between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. They spoke with the victim and filed a report.

On 9/2/22, at approximately 9:41 pm, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot located at 245 Main Street on a report of a male party breaking into parked vehicles. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the male party. Officers also went and reviewed surveillance footage and saw the male party breaking into a vehicle that didn’t belong to him. The male party was taken to the Black Hawk Police Department and issued a county summons.

On 9/3/22, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a possible disturbance between a male and female party. Officers arrived on scene and separated and spoke to both parties. Officers found out that the male party was the restrained party in a protection order with the female party. The male party was placed under arrest and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/3/22, at approximately 4:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Monarch Casino (488 Main Street) on a report of damaged property. One male suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/3/22, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a stolen phone. Officers spoke to the owner of the phone and got a description of the phone. Surveillance footage shows that a male party comes up to the slot machine and plays on it for a little bit, then gets up and leaves while taking the phone. A report has been taken.

On 9/3/22, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino located at 401 Main Street on a report of a female believing that she was drugged. Upon further investigation the claim was unfounded.

On 9/4/22, at approximately 4:34 p.m., officers patrolled the Lady Luck Garage (333 Main Street) and discovered a suspicious vehicle with two people in it. One was arrested and taken to jail for warrants.

On 9/4/22, at approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Emergency Operations Center (911 Miners Road) for a male in the lobby. The male party was contacted and medics transported him due to a mental health crisis.

On 9/5/22, at approximately 6:38 p.m., officers responded to a medical call at the Horseshoe Casino. While assisting with the medical, officers were made aware of casino chips that were stolen from the party receiving medical attention. Officers controlled the investigation until the investigation was passed to the Colorado Division of Gaming.

On 9/5/22, at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino parking garage on a hit-and-run report. The suspect was identified and will be issued a summons.

On 9/6/22, Officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino Hotel Lobby in regards to a disturbance. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 9/7/22, at approximately 6 p.m. Officers responded to Horseshoe Casino for a fake identification card. The suspect was not found. The identification was confiscated and placed into evidence.

On 9/7/22, an officer responded to mile marker 4 on Highway 119 to cover Gilpin County. An officer had been dispatched to a motor vehicle accident and after clearing the license plate, the officer was advised it was a stolen vehicle. They provided cover and searched the vehicle while Gilpin County Deputies detained the parties from the vehicle.

On 9/7/22, officers responded to the Lodge Casino Surveillance room in regards to suspicious activity. A report was taken.

On 9/7/22, at approximately 9 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male that was suicidal. The male was contacted and he explained it was a misunderstanding.

On 9/8/22, an officer received a call about a runaway teenager out of Arapahoe County. The teenager was found parked off of Highway 119, mile marker 8. She was safely reunited with her mother.

On 9/8/22, an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft of cash. The suspect was not identified and had left the scene. Associates were identified, and the investigation is still ongoing.

On 9/8/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft of property committed by an employee. The suspect was issued a summons and told to return the stolen items to the Black Hawk Police Department.

On 9/8/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Garage on the report of a hit and run that occurred.

On 9/9/22, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Black Hawk officers took a phone report of a theft that occurred at the Ameristar located at 111 Richman Street. Officers spoke to a female who reported the theft. A report has been taken and the case is still being investigated.

On 9/9/22, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot located at 240 Main Street on a report of a vehicle break-in. Officers spoke to the owner of the vehicle that was broken into and took a report. The investigation is ongoing.

On 9/9/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a theft report from a motor vehicle. A suspect vehicle was seen being driven by an adult male party. The vehicle has been identified by a license plate number, and a report has been taken

On 9/9/22, at 2:22 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Hotel on the report of a theft. Two male suspects were observed on surveillance video and the investigation remains active.

On 9/9/22, The City of Black Hawk Public Works reported an electrical ground cover was discovered damaged in front of Bally’s Casino located at 261 Main Street. It is unknown the date, time, or how the damage occurred.

On 9/10/22, at approximately 3:40 p.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck Parking Garage on a report of a stolen suitcase.

On 9/9/22, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a disturbance in progress. Black Hawk officers arrived and spoke to a male party who was involved in the disturbance. Black Hawk officers learned that the male party threw a plastic bottle at a bartender and missed striking a female cocktail waitress. The male party was issued a municipal summons and trespassed from the Ameristar.

On 9/10/22, an officer took a cold phone report of a lost/stolen wallet. This occurred sometime between the dates of 9/5/22 and 9/6/22 while gambling at the Ameristar Casino. There are no suspect(s) known at this point of the investigation.

On 9/10/22, at approximately 11:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers saw a vehicle driving without headlights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop and found out the driver was driving without a driver’s license. Officer also noticed that the temp plate on the vehicle was fake. An officer seized the fake plate and issued the driver a summons for the plate and driving without the headlights on.

On 9/11/22, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of lost property. There was no evidence to determine the party lost any property.

On 9/11/22, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a stolen license plate. There was no surveillance video coverage in the area where the vehicle was parked. The license plate was entered into NCIC/CCIC.

On 9/11/22, an officer took a phone report from an individual claiming his cell phone was stolen from the Ameristar Casino 111 Richman Street on 9/10/22. A review was conducted and a suspect was not identified. It was undetermined where the cell phone was actually lost/stolen. A report was taken.

On 9/12/22, at approximately 1 a.m. an officer responded to a medical call of a male unconscious, breathing, bleeding from his nose. Upon arrival, the cause of the injuries was due to an assault. Two males were identified and booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/12/22, at approximately 6:37 p.m., officers responded to 317 Gregory Street, the Mountain Poppy Boutique Gift shop, on a theft. The suspect has not been identified.

On 9/12/22, an officer took a phone report on a stolen engagement ring. The reporting party believed someone had entered her hotel room and gone through her purse. After watching surveillance footage, the reporting party was advised she is the only one observed entering and exiting her hotel room. Nothing further to report.

On 9/12/22, at approximately 9:12 p.m., an officer took a phone report of a theft. The victim was an Ameristar Casino employee who realized items were missing from her vehicle.

On 9/13/22, officers were advised by the Gaming Division that a party with a Denver felony warrant was contacted in the Lodge Casino. Officers checked the area and were advised by Monarch Casino surveillance that the male party was gambling on the second floor. Officers responded with the assistance of the Gaming Division and the male suspect was taken into custody. Upon search incident to arrest, a sizable amount of drug paraphernalia was seized, and another person’s identification. The suspect was transported to jail and found to have controlled substances taped to his leg. The suspect was issued a summons on scene and a second summons at the jail for the concealed controlled substance. The suspect was jailed on his felony warrant.

On 9/12/22, an officer found a cell phone in the parking lot of the Z Casino (101 Gregory Street). The officer was able to determine the owner and the phone was returned on 9/16/22.

On 9/13/22, at approximately 6:49 p.m. a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 on a vehicle that had no visible registration. The driver had a warrant and was arrested. During the search incident to arrest, drugs were found and a felony charge was charged. A report was taken.

On 9/13/22, Ameristar Casino security advised an officer they wanted a vehicle towed from their property. Security advised someone had “ditched” their vehicle in the parking lot of their training facility at least three days ago. On 9/14/22, the officer cleared the California plate #4XUX623 and asked for the last four numbers of the VIN and found the California plate did not belong to the vehicle. The officer cleared the VIN and dispatch advised it is a reported stolen vehicle from Lakewood Police Department. When searching the vehicle, the officer located numerous reported stolen license plates and drug paraphernalia. The registered owner was contacted and could not report to Black Hawk. The recovered stolen vehicle was towed for safekeeping. The recovered stolen license plates and drug paraphernalia were removed from the vehicle. There is no suspect information.

On 9/14/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to found drugs. A report was taken.

On 9/14/22 an officer completed a report of damage to the water storm drain and curb on Main Street.

On 9/14/22, at approximately 1:50 p.m. an officer was given a driver’s license which was found in a parking lot. The driver’s license was booked into safekeeping.

On 9/15/22, officers observed a male party known to have warrants. Officers contacted the suspect and were advised jail would accept his warrants. The suspect was taken into custody and upon search incident to arrest, a white crystal substance was found on his person. The suspect was served a summons for the crystal-like substance and booked in the Gilpin County jail on his warrant.

On 9/15/22, at approximately 6:23 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. The drugs were booked in for destruction.

On 9/15/22, at approximately 9 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to Ameristar Casino on the report of property theft. No suspects have been identified at this time.

On 9/15/22, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to The Lodge Casino on the report of a trespass. Upon arrival the suspect was identified, cited, and removed from the premises.

On 9/17/22, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to Ameristar Hotel on the report of a theft. Upon arrival, officers determined the theft to be unfounded.

On 9/17/22, the Black Hawk Police Department received a call of three vehicles that were broken into at the Monarch Casino Parking Garage. There is currently suspect(s) information and the case is active.

On 9/17/22, at approximately 12:55 p.m., officers received a call of a drunk driver that just side-swiped a truck in the Dakota Parking Lot. A female was contacted and subsequently arrested on the charges of Felony DUI, Hit and Run, and Careless Driving.

On 9/17/22, an officer took a report of a hit-and-run auto ped in the Horseshoe parking garage located at 401 Main Street. After investigation, the case was determined unfounded.

On 9/17/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a physical disturbance. A female was arrested for Harassment (DV).

On 9/18/22, at approximately 1:38 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally’s North Casino on a report of theft. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but were unable to. A report has been taken.

On 9/18/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of damaged property in a hotel room. A party was issued a GC summons for criminal mischief.

On 9/18/22, at approximately 9 p.m. an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a stolen phone. The phone was not located and there is no suspect information.

On 9/26/22, an officer responded to the 1300 block of Dory Hill Road for an abandoned vehicle. The car was towed and a report was taken.

On 9/26/22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a report of a lost phone. The reporting party was calling stating she lost her phone on 9/25/22. A case number was given to the female.

On 9/26/22, at approximately 1:31 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of someone stealing gas from a truck. Ameristar surveillance is still conducting a review of video to try and locate a suspect.

On 9/27/22, Officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel in regards to a harassment incident. A report was taken.

On 9/27/22, an officer was conducting an area check of the Ameristar Casino parking garage. A male and a female were observed wiping down a motorcycle. Surveillance was contacted to confirm what the parties were doing to the motorcycle and surveillance advised the parties appeared to be wiping a Nissan and then a van. The officer returned to the motorcycle and found both parties had warrants. The male and female were arrested on their warrants and during a search of the male, drug paraphernalia was found and confiscated. While searching the male’s property, multiple identification documents and credit cards were located that are not associated to the male party. Case will be sent to investigations for review.

On 9/27/22, at approximately 6:48 p.m., officers responded to 488 Main Street, the Monarch Casino parking garage level one, on a hit-and-run accident. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

On 9/28/22, Officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in regards to an intoxicated party refusing to leave the casino. A party was transported to the hospital and a report was taken.

On 9/28/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a firearm left in a hotel room. The firearm was booked for safekeeping.

On 9/28/22, at approximately 12:30 p.m. an officer attempted to clean up campsites in the area of Main and Highway 119. Officers located a rock structure that appeared to be used as a dwelling under a bridge. Due to officer safety no further clean-up was done in the area.

On 9/28/22, at approximately 12:30 p.m. an officer was informed of a found gun at the Monarch Casino by Monarch security. The gun was transported to the police department.

On 9/28/22, officers were on foot at the Monarch Casino when they were approached by a patron. The patron reported that they were looking for their wallet. A report was taken.

On 9/29/22, security from Horseshoe Casino called to report people in a hotel room that was supposed to be vacant. An officer arrived on scene and staff pointed towards a female that was running from valet, across the street, to the Monarch Casino. The officer was arriving on scene and stopped the female at the Monarch Casino. The female suspect was issued a summons and jailed on her warrant. Upon search during arrest, drug paraphernalia was located and the additional charge was added to her summons.

On 9/29/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Lady Luck Hotel. The male and female party were found to be involved in a prior disturbance at the Monarch Casino. Both parties were placed under arrest and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/29/22, at approximately 8:49 a.m. an officer completed a phone report of a stolen license plate.

On 9/29/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the 400 block of Gregory Street to take a report of stolen light fixtures at the Bobtail Mine restrooms.

On 9/29/22, at 3:39 p.m. an officer made an arrest on a party with outstanding warrants at the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street

On 9/30/22, a woman reported a theft at the Monarch Casino. A suspect has not been identified. A report was taken.

On 9/30/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The adult male was placed in protective custody and transported to a detox facility.

October

On 10/1/22, An officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. The suspected drug (suspected Cocaine) was collected, but a suspect could not be identified. The case is inactive.

On 10/1/22, An officer responded to the Ameristar Casino located at 111 Richman Street for a person on the roof having a mental crisis, the person was removed from the roof, and transported to the hospital.

On 10/1/22, An officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino located at 401 Main Street, for a hit and run private property damage crash.

On 10/1/22, at 9:23 p.m., an officer responded to an injury accident, car versus pedestrian, at the 400 block of Hughesville Road.

On 10/2/22, a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a stolen purse. At this time the suspect has not been identified. The case will remain open for further investigation.

On 10/2/22, at approximately 3:17 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a male party that took food without paying. Upon contact with the male, he was unable to pay restitution so he was issued a summons.

On 10/3/22, Officers were dispatched to an assault in progress in a hotel room at the Ameristar Casino. None of the involved parties wanted to pursue criminal charges, and based on conflicting statements there were no charges filed. The parties were separated.

On 10/3/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a property damage issue. A report taken.

On 10/3/22, at approximately 10:59 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a report of a female party’s private videos taken off her phone on 10/2/22 at approximately 6:45 p.m. at the Horseshoe Casino. The officer spoke with the female in person and also contacted the suspect by phone. The female party stated that the videos were shared off her phone with the suspect by the suspect. The case is still active.

On 10/4/22, at approximately 11:35 a.m., Black Hawk officers were in the area of mm 5.8 Highway 119, posting camping notices. Officers documented graffiti located around the bridge in different areas.

On 10/4/22, an officer received a phone report of a theft incident, at the Ameristar Hotel. The suspect was located and transported to the Gilpin County Jail on multiple charges.

On 10/5/22, at approximately 8:23 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a call of a wallet turned in without the money. The suspect was found and the money was returned to the owner.

On 10/5/22, officers were dispatched to the theft of a wallet at the Ameristar Casino. Surveillance was able to track the suspect and officers placed the male into custody. The wallet and stolen property was recovered. The suspect was issued a summons for theft and transported to jail for two felony warrants.

On 10/6/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino parking garage in regards to a break-in of a personal vehicle. A report was taken.

On 10/6/22, at approximately 11:19 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of property theft. The suspect vehicle was identified, and the investigation is pending.

On 10/6/22, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of an incident that happened on 10/5/22. Officers spoke to the reporting parties and determined that the incident happened on the bus going down to Denver in Gilpin County and a deputy was requested. A report was taken to document the incident.

On 10/7/22, Black Hawk officers responded to the Bally’s West Casino on a report of fraud involving an ID card. Suspect information was discovered during the investigation which is ongoing.

On 10/7/22, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Z Casino on a report of a vehicle driving erratically and struck a trash can. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the driver. It was determined that the driver was intoxicated and was arrested for DUI.

On 10/8/22, an officer responded to the Lady Luck valet parking lot on the report of a hit and run. No suspect was identified.

On 10/8/22, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs on the casino floor. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.

On 10/8/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of theft of luggage. A suspect has been identified.

On 10/8/22, at approximately 3 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on lost property. Property has not been recovered, and no suspects have been identified.

On 10/8/22, at 10:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers took a report from a female who walked into the police department. The female party reported that her debit card was stolen and there were charges on it. An officer informed the female party that a report will be done.

On 10/9/22, an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. One 100 dollar bill was confiscated.

On 10/9/22, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department assisted Colorado State Patrol with a Spanish translation.

On 10/9/22, officers responded to a physical disturbance between a male and a female at the Horseshoe Casino. An investigation was conducted and the female was found to be the aggressor. The officer arrested the female party and transported her to jail on the new charges.

On 10/10/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to a harassment incident. A report was taken.

On 10/10/22, officers were leaving the Monarch Casino when they were flagged down by casino staff. The staff reported that they had just found three live bullets in the casino. The bullets were collected by officers and a report was taken.

On 10/10/22, an officer responded to the 6.5-mile marker of Highway 119, for a traffic accident. A report was taken.

On 10/10/22, at approximately 3:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male threatening people. Officers contacted the male party and issued a summons, the male was transported by medics to a hospital.

On 10/10/22, at approximately 10:38 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a call of a disturbance between two males. One of the males was arrested for assault in the 3rd degree and booked into the Gilpin County jail.

On 10/11/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Hotel in regards to a disturbance. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 10/11/22, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party that kicked a female party. Upon contact, the female party identified the male and reported a prior relationship. The male fled the area before the arrival of officers.

On 10/11/22, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in regards to found drugs. A party was served a summons and a report was taken.

On 10/12/22, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 261 Main Street on the report of a found controlled substance. The substance was taken into custody, and the suspect was cited.

On 10/13/22, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated party refusing to leave and claiming harassment. After reviewing the video surveillance, the claim was determined to be unfounded.

On 10/13/22, while assisting with a vehicle lockout, the Black Hawk Police Department found a lost credit card at 245 Main Street in the parking lot. A found property report was filed and the card was placed into safe keeping.

On 10/13/22, at 5:17 p.m., an officer took a report of a purse theft that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino located at 401 Main Street. A male patron located the purse and had turned it into the casino.

On 10/14/22, at approximately 11:35 p.m., an officer recovered a stolen license plate off of a vehicle in the Monarch parking garage located at 488 Main Street.

On 10/14/22, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department responded to 111 Richman on the report of a found firearm. The firearm was booked into safekeeping and the registered owner was contacted.

On 10/15/22, officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street on a REDDI Report from the Lodge Casino. A male party was arrested for driving under the influence and released on a summons.

On 10/15/22, the Black Hawk Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle in the Lady Luck parking garage. The vehicle was found to have a stolen license plate. The plate was seized and a report was taken.

On 10/15/22, at approximately 2:12 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report of a cold theft that occurred at the Ameristar Hotel and Casino. Surveillance is currently pending.

On 10/15/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was issued a Municipal summons for theft.

On 10/16/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was issued a summons for theft.

On 10/16/22, officers responded to a disturbance at the Dakota Lot regarding a possible Domestic Violence call. Further investigation determined no crime had been committed.

On 10/16/22, a Black Hawk police officer responded to 401 Main Street on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was confiscated and booked into evidence.

On 10/16/22, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an irate male party returning a stolen wallet to the owner. Prior to police arrival, the suspect who stole and then returned the wallet left the casino. Items were still missing from the wallet that was returned and a receipt for an attempted ATM withdrawal was found inside the wallet that the owner had not made. The suspect was later found outside the Lodge Casino. He was cited for theft and unlawful use of a financial transaction device. The next day the victim stated the transaction was not to his account and he received all of his items back when the suspect handed it to him. The case was closed and a report taken.

On 10/16/22, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the theft of a cell phone at the Horseshoe Casino. At this time, the identity of the suspect(s) is unknown.

On 10/16/22, an employee of the Monarch Casino called to report a lost money clip. The employee believes he dropped the money clip at Lady Luck Casino and states someone has since attempted to use his Wells Fargo debit card. The reporting party has not retrieved the necessary information referencing the Wells Fargo transactions. Surveillance at Lady Luck Casino is attempting to locate the money clip being dropped.

On 10/17/22, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lady Luck Hotel for a welfare check. One of the parties involved had two outstanding warrants and was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 10/17/22, an officer took a phone report from a female stating she was being harassed over her cell phone while she was in her room at the Ameristar Casino. The female advised this was an ongoing issue between her ex-boyfriend and his wife. Both parties were spoken to and a report was taken.

On 10/18/22, an officer located a stolen van, at the Lady Luck parking lot. The van was reported stolen out of Denver and the vehicle was impounded. A report was taken.

On 10/18/22, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on possible harassment. Both parties involved were contacted and they agreed it was a civil issue at the time. A report was created for documentation of the incident.

On 10/17/22, a City of Black Hawk employee found and turned in a small necklace pendant that was found while walking along the creek side path near the 300 block of Main Street. It was booked in for safekeeping.

On 10/18/22, at approximately 9:55 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, on a theft of a jacket. The jacket was recovered, and the suspect was issued a summons and released.

On 10/19/22, an officer was conducting an area check of the Ameristar Casino parking garage with the automated license plate reader. The officer had a brief conversation with a male party and after passing the vehicle, was alerted the registered owner had a felony warrant. The male driver was contacted and confirmed he is the registered owner. The male party was taken into custody and transported to jail on his warrant.

On 10/19/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the 200 block of Main Street on a report of a hit-and-run crash. No suspect has been identified, and a report was taken.

On 10/19/22, an officer completed a phone report of a lost medical bag at the Monarch Casino.

On 10/20/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a stolen wallet at the Monarch Casino. A report was taken, and a suspect was identified.

On 10/20/22, an officer was flagged down by a person who wanted assistance locating his hotel room at the Monarch Casino, where he left his $3500 jackpot.

On 10/20/22, at approximately 5:46 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota parking lot on a report of suspicious activity. Two male parties were contacted and one was taken into custody due to unrelated active warrants.

On 10/20/22, at 8:28 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a party who passed a counterfeit $20. The party who passed it was identified, and the bill was seized.

On 10/21/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassing party. One suspect was issued a summons for trespass.

On 10/21/22, at 3:05 a.m., an officer responded to the Dakota parking lot for a disturbance in progress. A suspect was identified and was arrested on Felony charges.

On 10/21/22, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 120 Main Street on the report of possible fraudulent activity. Suspects fled the scene and officers were unable to locate. The case is pending.

On 10/22/22, at approximately 4 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 220 Chase Street on the report of suspicious persons. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting and took a report. Upon conducting area checks, officers were unable to locate the suspect.

On 10/22/22, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino in regards to a party urinating in public. A summons was issued and a report was taken.

On 10/22/22, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a physical disturbance. One male was arrested for assault in the 3rd degree (DV).

On 10/22/22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a found unknown controlled substance. The controlled substance was recovered and booked for destruction.

On 10/23/22, an officer responded to Bally’s West on the report of a disturbance. One suspect was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and harassment.

On 10/23/22, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino to assist investigators with the Colorado Division of Gaming with a party who was refusing to leave. Officers arrived and the male suspect left without receiving any charges.

On 10/24/22, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a female party on the property that was trespassing. Officers contacted the female and confirmed a court order exclusion from all casinos in Colorado. Officers issued a summons and the female party was escorted off the property.

On 10/24/22, an officer responded to a report of a theft at the Ameristar Casino. The victim and suspect were interviewed and found to be having a civil dispute over money the suspect lent the victim. Both parties agreed that the victim had given the suspect collateral for the money owed. It was determined that the suspect later hit the victim after the victim followed the suspect to Bally’s North Casino. The suspect was issued a summons for harassment and both parties were advised the remainder of their concerns would have to be addressed in civil court.

On 10/24/22, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a 911 hang-up. Officers contacted an affiliated room where a male and female were inside. Officers investigated due to there being a report of a possible assault. The male and female were separated for the night.

On 10/24/22, a party called to report her rings were missing from her hotel room at the Ameristar Casino. The female reporting party stated she checked in at her hotel on 10/21/22 and checked out on 10/22/22 and forgot her rings in the hotel room. The rings were not turned into lost and found. A report was taken.

On 10/24/22, a subject came into the police department to report that he was being followed and that people were out to kill him. It was determined that the male subject was having a mental health crisis and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

On 10/24/22, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a welfare check of a male party possibly suicidal in an assist to Castle Rock Police Department. The male was possibly staying at the Ameristar but was found to have a room at the Monarch. Officers contacted the male and it was found he was not a danger to himself or others.

On 10/25/22, an officer was conducting a walk at the Ameristar Casino and was advised of an uncooperative patron. The patron had been asked to leave and refused. The female patron was issued a summons for trespassing and released to a sober party.

On 10/25/22, an officer located a lost wallet, in the 200 block of Gregory Street. A report was taken.

On 10/26/22, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a theft incident. A report was taken.

On 10/26/22, officer’s were on a call at the Monarch Casino when a fight was aired. It was found to be a verbal altercation between two parties that was no longer active. Investigation is ongoing to identify the parties in one of the groups with charges pending for disorderly conduct.

On 10/26/22, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of two parties smoking something off the foil in a truck. Officers contacted the parties on the gaming floor. The male was identified and had warrants from out of state. The male was transported without incident to Gilpin County Jail along with his property.

On 10/26/22, a Black Hawk officer was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle theft from the Dakota Lot. Surveillance cameras showed an unknown blue Hyundai SUV parked next to the stolen vehicle and a passenger stole the vehicle. The case is under investigation.

On 10/27/22, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers arrived on scene and seized the drugs and have booked them in for destruction.

On 10/27/22, Monarch Casino surveillance called to report a female guest in a hotel room who told staff she is being trafficked. The case is under investigation by detectives.

On 10/27/22 the Black Hawk Police Department responded to assist the Colorado State Patrol on a series of vehicle crashes that occurred on Highway 119 near mile marker 4.

On 10/26/22, while driving a patrol vehicle, an officer backed a patrol vehicle into a brick wall. A report was taken.

On 10/26/22, while driving a City of Black Hawk vehicle, an officer bumped the patrol vehicle against a yellow parking Bollard. A report was taken.

On 10/27/22, at approximately 8:12 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Ameristar parking garage on the report of cold property damage. Surveillance footage was viewed and the claim was deemed unfounded.

On 10/27/22, officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino in regards to a damaged property incident. A report was taken.

On 10/27/22, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. Officers seized the bill and it has been booked into evidence. A suspect was not charged.

On 10/28/22, Officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found drugs on the casino floor. A possible suspect was identified, and investigations are still ongoing.

On 10/28/22, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino, on the report of lost property. The property was found and returned to the victim.

On 10/28/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to a male on the gaming floor with a possible warrant. A similar male was contacted and arrested on a warrant.

On 10/29/22, officers responded to the Lodge Casino in regards to found drugs. The drugs were collected and a report was taken.

On 10/29/22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a vehicle break-in. A suspect vehicle has been identified.

On 10/29/22, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to Z Casino, on a report of harassment. A victim statement was taken and a police report was filed. The suspect was unable to be located.

On 10/30/22, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party on the property. Officers arrived and contacted the female party and she was issued a summons for trespass.

On 10/30/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to found drugs. Presumed drugs were recovered and a report was taken.

On 10/30/22, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to Monarch Valet on a report of a vehicle that appeared to be following the reporting party from the Lady Luck Casino. Neither party wanted to press charges. One involved party had an outstanding warrant and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 10/31/22, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers were notified by the Thornton Police Department that their officers were out with a victim who was stating she was involved in a domestic dispute in our city in front of the Monarch Casino at approximately 5:30 a.m. this morning. The female was in the hospital getting treated while the male ran from Thornton Police but was later caught. Thornton was holding the male on 2 felony warrants. Black Hawk officers responded to the hospital and later issued a warrant for the male suspect’s arrest. A report was taken.

On 10/31/22, a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Ameristar Garage on a report of a vehicle damage traffic accident. Both vehicles had minor damage and photographs were taken. One vehicle was unoccupied but the owner was later located inside the casino. Both parties provided their insurance information and agreed to handle it on their own.

On 10/31/22, a Black Hawk Police officer administered CPR to a male party in the Black Hawk Police Department parking lot. The Gilpin County Ambulance and Black Hawk Fire Department also responded to the scene. An adult male was pronounced deceased and was turned over to the Gilpin County Coroner’s Office.

On 10/31/22, at approximately 6:56 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, on a disturbance report. The female suspect left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival a warrant will be issued for her arrest.

On 10/31/22, a Black Hawk officer was dispatched to a cold report of the theft of $100 left by a machine. On 10/29/22, an unknown male suspect took the money. At this time the case is under investigation.

On 11/1/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino, for a theft of property incident. A report was taken.

On 11/1/22, an officer received a report for theft of property at the Black Hawk Police Department (221 Church Street). A report was taken.

On 11/1/22, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a male party on the property that had been trespassing. Officers contacted the male party and confirmed he trespassed. Officers issued a summons and the male was escorted off the property.

On 11/2/22, staff at the Lodge Casino reported a suspicious note referencing a murder. Officers contacted the patron that left the note and found the party was referencing a “vision”. The female did not meet the requirements of a mental health hold and left Black Hawk.

On 11/2/22, an officer was conducting an area check and observed a vehicle running on the side of the road. Officer contacted the driver and found the driver had a warrant. The jail refused the warrant due to a medical emergency and the female driver was released from custody.

On 11/2/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino Hotel, for a medical issue. A report was taken.

On 11/2/22, a BHPD officer was given three Colorado identification cards that were turned in by the Post Office in Black Hawk. At this time, there are no leads to when the ID’s were dropped off and if the ID’s were stolen or lost.

On 11/2/22, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of a REDDI report on Highway 119 heading northbound into Black Hawk. Officers located the reported vehicle and conducted a DUI investigation on the driver. The driver was arrested for DUI and released on a summons.

On 11/4/22, at approximately 12:34 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck parking garage level one. On a report of someone firing a gun at that building. Officers arrived and searched the garage and saw no signs of a gun being fired. A male party was located in a vehicle and was contacted about the incident. It was determined the male party was not involved and was released. There was no evidence this report of gunfire occurred, case unfounded.

On 11/4/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Gilpin Casino valet lot on a report of a theft of property from a vehicle. An adult female suspect was located and arrested.

On 11/04/22, a male was arrested on an active Black Hawk Municipal Warrant after being contacted in his vehicle at the Ameristar parking garage.

On 11/5/22, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers arrived on scene and sized the drugs. There was no suspect information, and the drugs have been booked in for destruction.

On 11/5/22, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in regards to a disturbance. A report was taken.

On 11/5/22, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino in regards to an intoxicated party. A summons was issued and a report was taken.

On 11/5/22, at approximately 7:01 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft of property. A suspect was identified.

On 11/6/22, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft of $50. Upon checking surveillance a suspect was identified but had left the area in a vehicle.

On 11/6/22, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was entered in the system as stolen. The vehicle was later recovered by Adams County.

On 11/6/22, an officer received a phone report of a stolen cellular phone, from the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.

On 11/6/22, an officer took a report of a damaged sign at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. The sign belongs to the city of Black Hawk. It is unknown when the sign was damaged or how. A report was taken.

On 11/6/22, at approximately 5:19 p.m., an officer responded to the Hidden Treasure on a call of a juvenile walking on Highway 119. The juvenile was given a ride to her mother’s house in Central City.

On 11/8/22, BHPD officers along with the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office and the Black Hawk Fire Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle head-on vehicle crash on Highway 119. Once officers arrived on the scene, they determined the crash occurred in Gilpin County so the Colorado State Patrol was requested to respond. There were no injuries in the crash.

On 11/8/22, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill.

On 11/8/22, an officer responded to the report of a theft at the Horseshoe Casino. The female suspect was contacted at the Monarch Casino. The female was released pending charges and later served a summons for the theft and obstructing a police officer.

On 11/8/22, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage, on a trespass. The suspect was issued a municipal summons for trespassing and released.

On 11/9/22, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of property damage. The suspect was contacted, trespassed, and issued a city summons.

On 11/9/22, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to mile marker 6 on Highway 119 on a report of a traffic accident resulting in no injuries. Both parties’ information was collected and released pending further investigation.

On 11/9/22, an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a theft that occurred around 9 p.m.

On 11/10/22, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in regards to found drugs. The property was recovered and a report was taken. No suspect(s) leads were developed.

On 11/10/22, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a cold damaged property case. No suspect was identified.

On 11/10/22, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Black Hawk officers noticed the city sign located at mile marker 5.8 Highway 119 was damaged. Photos were taken and a CIRSA form was completed.

On 11/11/22, at approximately 8:07 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for animals in a vehicle. Upon locating the vehicle’s owner they had a felony warrant and two additional misdemeanor warrants. They were arrested and transported to the jail.

On 11/12/22, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a theft. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the victim and gathered information. Officers then went to surveillance and were unable to determine any investigative leads on who or if the Airpods were stolen. Case is inactive at this time.

On 11/12/22, multiple officers from different agencies responded to the Ameristar Casino in regards to a felony menacing. A report was taken.

On 11/13/22, at approximately 12:52 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespass. Officers arrived and contacted the trespassed party. The party was issued a summons for trespassing and left the property.

On 11/13/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to a trespass. A report was taken and a summons was issued.

On 11/13/22, at approximately 5:29 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street on a report of a disturbance in progress. The male and female were reported to be walking down Main Street towards the 300 block of Main Street. The male and female were identified. The male was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail on charges not related to the disturbance.

On 11/14/22, officers were conducting a walk of Ameristar Casino. Officer recognized a female party with a municipal warrant and contacted the female. The female was placed into custody and transported to jail on the warrant.

On 11/14/22, at approximately 10:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of damaged property. A male and a female were identified as suspects. Officers attempted to contact the female at the number provided.

On 11/14/22, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on possible fraud. It was found no fraud had been committed, but the reporting party still wanted to report his lost debit card.

On 11/14/22, BHPD officers were dispatched to the theft of a phone and backpack off of the gaming floor at the Saratoga Casino. With the help of surveillance at the Saratoga, a suspect was identified and the stolen items were recovered. A male suspect was issued a municipal summons for theft and a female suspect was arrested for a felony warrant.

On 11/14/22, an officer took a report of possible harassment at 221 Church Street, the Black Hawk Police Department.

On 11/14/22, a female party called to report her phone stolen from the bathroom at Saratoga Casino on 11/12/22. Case is currently under investigation.

On 11/14/22, at approximately 10:46 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Red Dolly on the report of a property theft. No suspect was identified and a report was taken.

On 11/15/22, at approximately 3:11 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers were assisting state patrol on a call when they found a firearm at 401 Main Street. The firearm was collected and booked into evidence as found property.

On 11/15/22, an officer was traveling on Gregory Street when she observed a passenger van fail to stop at a red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver to be a known suspect. The driver had warrants and the van was towed due to being illegally parked in a handicapped space on private property. During an inventory search of the van, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and multiple identifications belonging to others were located. Case is open pending a search warrant of the vehicle.

On 11/15/22, a detective was inside the Horseshoe Casino parking garage and observed a vehicle that had entered through the valet and appeared to have been in a traffic accident. The driver was contacted and eventually arrested for the suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol. The arrestee was issued a county summons and was later released to a sober party.

On 11/16/22, an officer responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on the report of a physical disturbance between a male and a female. One suspect was arrested for Harassment (DV).

On 11/16/22, at approximately 8:02 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a $10 counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and the person who passed it was identified.

On 11/17/22, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Bull Durham Casino to investigate a report of an employee who a patron had groped. A suspect has been identified, and a report was taken.

On 11/17/22, an officer responded to the Lady Luck garage on the report of damaged property. A suspect was identified and issued a Gilpin County summons for criminal mischief.

On 11/17/22, at 8:08 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for a physical disturbance. Suspects were identified and the case is still active.

On 11/17/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an ADA civil violation. A report was taken for documentation purposes, and no criminal charges are applicable.

On 11/18/22, an officer responded to Richman Street and Highway 119 on the report of a non-injury traffic accident. One suspect was issued a Municipal Summons for failing to obey a traffic signal.

On 11/19/22, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a lost engagement ring. Surveillance is tracking to see if there is suspect information regarding this case.

On 11/18/22, at 10:09 p.m., officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming with a suspect who was resisting arrest. The suspect was apprehended.

On 11/19/22, at 11:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for an unknown white powdery substance found inside the gaming floor. There were no suspects identified.

On 11/19/22, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a male and female inside a hotel room. After an investigation, the male was arrested.

On 11/20/22, at approximately 3:49 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to cover the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop. One male was transported to the jail.

On 11/20/22, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party on the property. Officer discovered that the male party had warrants for his arrest and the jail confirmed they would take on the warrants. The male party was booked into Gilpin County Jail and issued a summons for the Trespass.

On 11/20/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Hotel for a found firearm. A report was taken.

On 11/20/22, BHPD officers received a call from a nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital reporting a cold sexual assault that occurred in a hotel room in the Lady Luck Casino Hotel. A BHPD officer and detective investigated the case and the investigation is ongoing.

On 11/19/22, at approximately 1:29 p.m., Black Hawk dispatch received a medical call for an individual who had fallen down a flight of stairs at the Ameristar Casino, near the poker room. Medical arrived soon after and the patient was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital. The patient succumbed to his injuries several hours later under the care of a physician.

On 11/20/22, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of lost property. Upon arrival, Black Hawk officers were able to locate the lost property and return it to the owner.

On 11/21/22, an officer responded to the Horseshoe parking garage, for a vehicle trespass. A report was taken.

On 11/21/22, at approximately 6:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Richman Street. The driver pulled into the Ameristar parking garage. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed.

On 11/21/22, an officer was dispatched to the Monarch Casino for an employee hitting another employee in the head with a kitchen ladle. The victim did not want to pursue charges, there is not evidence to have a prosecutable case, and the case is closed.

On 11/22/22, at approximately 3:33 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 240 Main Street on a report of stolen property. A case report was filled, and the investigation is pending.

On 11/22/22, officers responded to a property damage crash that occurred in the 7000 block of Highway 119. There were no injuries and one driver was given a citation.

On 11/22/22, an officer responded to 201 Selak Street, for a damaged property incident. A report was taken.

On 11/22/22, a BHPD officer was dispatched to an underage person who consumed alcohol at the Monarch Casino. After completing an investigation, the twenty-year-old was released on a warning due to being new to the United States and her family nor did she know the legal drinking age is twenty-one years of age.

On 11/23/22, an employee with Bally’s Casino returned to the parking garage and found someone had gone through the cab of his truck. An officer completed a list of stolen items and is currently working on identifying the suspect driving a Mustang with fictitious license plates.

On 11/23/22, at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found drugs. A substance believed to be narcotics was recovered and booked in for destruction.

On 11/23/22, officers responded to the Grand Z Casino to assist Gilpin County deputies on a 911 call. A female party was arrested for a DV warrant and Violation of a Protection Order, and a male was arrested for false imprisonment.

On 11/24/22, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in regards to a theft incident. A cell phone was stolen from the gaming floor. A suspect was identified through surveillance. The victim reached out to the suspect and she agreed to return the phone. She claimed she had just found it and was planning on returning it. The victim did not wish to file charges.

On 11/24/22, at approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. A substance suspected to be narcotics was recovered and booked into safekeeping for destruction.

On 11/24/22, at 7:47 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party trying to gain access to the gaming floor with an ID that wasn’t theirs. The suspect was located at a different casino and cited.

On 11/24/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a purse theft and credit card was later used. A suspect was not identified and left the property before police arrival. The investigation is active

On 11/24/22, officers responded to the Lodge Casino in regards to a criminal mischief incident. A patron punched and damaged a slot machine. The patron was issued a summons and released at the scene.

On 11/25/22, at approximately 1:43 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party. Officers arrived and contacted the trespassed party, the party was already advised by casino staff that he was trespassed. The male party was issued a municipal summons for trespass.

On 11/25/22, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Gilpin Casino valet parking lot on a report of a Hit-and-Run. Officers spoke to the victim and gathered their information. Officers are still trying to identify the suspect vehicle. Case is still being investigated.

On 11/25/22, at approximately 3:54 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a theft of a wallet. Officers contacted the victim and are currently investigating to identify the suspect in the case.

On 11/25/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to a found wallet. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the person who had possession of the wallet also had possession of fraudulent documents, as well as different, identify documents that were not in the name of the suspect. Due to the new discovery, an arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 11/26/22, a party called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that he had found a fraudulent charge on his credit card from the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.

On 11/26/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized as evidence.

On 11/26/22, at approximately 10:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a party unable to find their vehicle. Officers conducted a search for the vehicle in the garage and were unable to locate it. The vehicle at this time is reported stolen. The case is still active.

On 11/27/22, at approximately 1:42 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers arrived on scene and seized the bag with drug paraphernalia. Officers were informed by surveillance that they were unable to locate a suspect due to the bag being found in the bathroom. Officers have booked the drugs and paraphernalia for destruction.

On 11/27/22, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a suspicious note found in the men’s restroom involving hotel room #431. No hotel in Black Hawk has room #431. A welfare check was conducted for room #1431. No further information was found for the note.

On 11/27/22, an officer responded to the Horseshoe parking garage for a theft incident. A report was taken.

On 11/27/22, a rifle round was found by a housekeeper in a hotel room at the Ameristar Hotel. The round was collected by a Black Hawk officer and booked into evidence for found property.

On 11/27/22, an officer responded to the Bally’s parking structure for a suspicious incident. A report was taken.

On 11/27/22, an officer conducted a welfare check at the Saratoga parking garage. A report was taken.

On 11/27/22, at approximately 6:17 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a call of a person using a fraudulent identification card. The suspect was issued a summons and released.

On 11/27/22, an officer reported to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a theft of a backpack. The incident is currently under review by surveillance to identify the male suspect. The case is open pending additional information.

On 11/27/22, an officer was at the Horseshoe Casino and was advised that a patron had broken the panel of a slot machine. The patron had left and the staff had a valet ticket with a phone number. Staff were unable to provide a price for the broken panel and will contact the officer with that information.

On 11/28/22, the Gaming Division requested additional assistance with two trespassed parties at the Monarch Casino. The officer issued a municipal summons to one male who was released on scene and the second male was taken into custody and jailed by the Gaming Division.

On 11/29/22, at approximately 2:58 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen purse. The purse was found and returned to the victim. The suspect was cited.

On 11/29/22, an officer responded to the Monarch parking garage for a property damage accident. A report was taken.

On 11/30/22, at 7:18 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an unconscious, not breathing party. Upon arrival, the party was fine but was severely intoxicated. The party had a gun, and was issued a summons.

On 11/30/22, at 9:58 p.m., dispatch advised a reporting party had called to state his vehicle was hit in the parking garage of the Monarch Casino. Officer arrived on scene and took photographs of the damage. The suspect vehicle was on scene and the driver was located. The driver was issued a summons for failing to provide information after damaging another vehicle.
