On 9/1/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of damage to a vehicle. Officers photographed the damage and followed up with surveillance. This case remains active for further investigation. 

On 9/1/24, an officer responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on the report of property damage to a vehicle. 

On 9/1/24, an officer took a phone report that occurred at Bally's North for damaged property. The reporting party said they would call back with further information. 

On 9/1/24, at approximately 1:12 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Hotel on a report of a theft. A report was completed. An investigation is ongoing. 

On 9/1/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a stolen cellphone. The suspect has not been identified at this time. The case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 9/1/24, at approximately 2:34 p.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino to complete a report of a traffic collision that occurred at the Lodge parking garage. A report was completed. 

On 9/1/24, at approximately 4:50 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an assault. Officers investigated and determined there was no assault but possibly harassment and they were unable to prove it. 

On 9/1/24, at approximately 6:27 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired plates and failure to yield to oncoming traffic, occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver consented to roadsides and was issued a summons and released to a sober party. A report was completed. 

On 9/1/24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers with Black Hawk Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Monarch that had been physical. On scene, officers conducted an investigation and determined an assault occurred. Two people were given a summons and released. 

On 9/2/24, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a possible assault. Officers spoke with the reporting party and it was found that it was a verbal argument and that no crime had been committed. 

On 9/2/24, Black Hawk Police Department officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino to check on the welfare of an elderly individual. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 11:43 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs. It was determined the owner of the found property had a prescription for the medication and their property was returned. A field interview report was completed. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on a report of a physical disturbance. An investigation determined that nothing criminal occurred. A report was completed. 



On 9/2/24, at approximately 6:21 p.m., an officer took a phone report of property damage to a vehicle at the Ameristar Casino parking garage. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 6:42 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a wallet theft. Surveillance observed an unknown male suspect take the wallet but could not identify him. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 8:07 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a call about a counterfeit bill.The suspect was contacted, and the bill was seized and placed into evidence. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 10 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle that was driving over the yellow lines. On contact, the driver was cooperative and was given a verbal warning. 

On 9/2/24, officers were dispatched to the Gilpin Casino regarding damaged property. A report was taken. 

On 9/2/24, at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar on a report of a physical altercation. A vehicle was stopped with the suspects and the driver was arrested for violation of a protection order.

On 9/3/24, officers were assigned a phone report regarding a harassment incident which occurred at the Lodge Casino. A report was taken. 


On 9/3/24, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department officers responded to the Monarch in reference to a counterfeit bill. The suspect was still on scene and when contacted, was placed into custody for having two misdemeanor warrants out of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. 

On 9/3/24, at approximately 3:46 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of two intoxicated males refusing to show ID and refusing to leave. The two males were causing a disturbance and were taken to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 9/3/24, an officer from Black Hawk took an informational report on a reported injury that occurred on 9/1/24 at the Litwood and Artisan Friends shop. 

On 9/3/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle displaying expired registration at mile marker 5.8 on southbound Highway 119. The driver was cited and released. 



On 9/3/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a disturbance. A report was taken. 

On 9/3/24, an officer took a phone report of a missing person. The party was last observed at the Red Dolly Casino catching the shuttle bus at 1:53 p.m. The party's phone was pinned and was last seen in the area of Edgewater at 10:21 p.m.. 

On 9/3/24, officers were dispatched to the Bally's West Casino regarding a harassment incident. A report was taken. 

On 9/4/24, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a disturbance. One suspect was later arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 9/4/24, Black Hawk Police Department officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the Horseshoe valet. Officers contacted the vehicle and determined no criminal activity, and a report was taken. 

On 9/4/24, at approximately 11:25 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding unlawful sexual contact having occurred at the Ameristar Casino. 

On 9/4/24, a male party called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that his sunglasses had been lost while gambling at the casinos. An investigation revealed that an unidentified female party had stolen the sunglasses. A report was taken. 

On 9/5/24, at approximately 1:18 a.m., officers responded to the 6.5 mile marker of southbound Highway 119 on a report of a person laying in the road. The person was found sitting on the guard railing and had warrants. The individual was booked into Gilpin County Jail on their warrants. 

On 9/5/24, at approximately 6:56 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a theft of property. A male suspect was located and issued/released on a summons. 

On 9/5/24, at approximately 10:54 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's West on a report of a male party that was trespassed and was on property. Officers contacted the male party, escorted him off the property, and issued him a municipal summons. 

On 9/5/24, Black Hawk Police Department was contacted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) regarding a fugitive apprehension operation that was about to occur in Black Hawk. CBI asked for Black Hawk Police Department's assistance. The fugitive was located and apprehended without incident.



On 9/6/24, at approximately 9:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party trying to enter the casino using another person's ID. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. 

On 9/6/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A male was contacted, the bill collected, and a report taken. 

On 9/6/24, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a physical disturbance between a male and female. Officers arrived and spoke to the two involved parties, determining that the male party was the victim who did not want to press any charges. Parties were separated for the night. 



On 9/7/24, officers were dispatched to Ameristar on the report of a physical disturbance. An involved party was arrested. 

On 9/7/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a male grabbing a female, spitting on other guests, and stealing money. The male was arrested and transported to jail on harassment charges, theft, and violation of a protection order. 

On 9/7/24, at approximately 8:08 a.m., an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on a welfare check. The party was resting before driving. 

On 9/7/24, at approximately 9:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a phone theft. Officers arrived and reviewed surveillance and located a suspect. Officers contacted the suspect and recovered the phone. The suspect was charged with theft. 

On 9/7/24, officers responded to Ameristar on the report of a staff member who lost property. A report was taken. 

On 9/7/24, at approximately 11:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of an underage party on the gaming floor. The underage party also presented a fake ID when asked. Officers spoke to the male party and informed him that he was not allowed to gamble and that this was going to be passed over to the Division of Gaming. 

On 9/8/24, at approximately 12:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was arrested for DUI. 

On 9/8/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hit-and-run accident. Officers arrived and photographed the scene. Officers were able to contact the suspect who was issued a summons. The suspect then made suicidal statements and was placed on an M1 hold. 

On 9/8/24, at approximately 5:18 a.m., an officer responded to a fraud at Monarch. The suspect was on scene and was unaware of a counterfeit bill they presented to a table games dealer. The bill was collected and a report was taken. 

On 9/8/24, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a civil problem. Nothing criminal was determined to have occurred and a report for information was completed. 

On 9/9/24, at approximately 4:54 a.m., an officer collected property found at the Bobtail Mine public restroom, located at 400 Gregory Street. The property was booked into safekeeping and a report was completed. 

On 9/10/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving erratically. The driver was given a warning. 

On 9/9/24, an officer responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was not identified. 

On 9/9/24, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino, for a male party who had forgotten where he had parked his vehicle. The vehicle was found at the Ameristar Casino parking garage on level five. 

On 9/9/24, at approximately 8:59 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of someone handing off an ID for another party to use. The parties left the property and the on-duty Gaming Officer was notified of the suspect's casino employment status.

On 9/9/24, at approximately 9:45 p.m., at 300 Main Street, an unknown casino patron pushed a security officer and left the casino.  

On 9/10/24, an officer responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on the report of a stolen mountain bike. A company vehicle was seen by surveillance leaving with the bike. No suspect was identified. 

On 9/10/24, an officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on private property.

On 9/10/24, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate a report of a disturbance between a male hotel guest and a male hotel employee that had occurred earlier in the day. A report was taken. 

 On 9/11/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of damaged property. The casino patron was contacted and this incident was resolved civilly. 

On 9/11/24, at approximately 2:59 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a phone theft. The phone was located and returned. 

On 9/11/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for some found illegal drugs at the bar area. As officers were enroute, surveillance was able to identify the suspect that had dropped the suspected drugs. The male was contacted and detained at the Horseshoe Casino. The suspected drugs appeared to be a large amount of methamphetamines. The suspect was jailed on possession with intent to distribute. 

On 9/11/24, at approximately 7:48 a.m., Monarch Casino reported a parking complaint in their parking garage. The vehicle was a rental car and the driver was contacted. The driver was the renter of the vehicle and moved the vehicle that was blocking the stairway. 

On 9/11/24, a woman reported that she could not locate her wallet while at the Horseshoe Casino. It was determined that a male party had stolen it. A report was taken, and the suspect has not been identified. 

On 9/11/24, at approximately 4 p.m., the male party was back at Bally's Casino. He was identified and charged with harassment. The suspect was also taken to Gilpin County jail on two warrants. 

On 9/11/24, officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle driving with no tail lights. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a FI report was completed. 

On 9/11/24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a trespass. The suspect was cited and walked off the property. 

On 9/12/24, at approximately 8:23 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 with no rear lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was released on a warning. 

On 9/13/24, at approximately 3:33 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a robbery. Suspects were identified, later located, and taken into custody. 

On 9/13/24, an adult woman called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that she had not heard from her mother in several months. The mother was contacted and advised to contact her daughter. 

On 9/13/24, at approximately 4:09 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft of property. A male suspect was later located and issued/released on a summons. 

On 9/13/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a lost wallet. The wallet couldn't be located, and a report was taken.

On 9/14/24, at approximately 10:17 p.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a lost phone. The officer later located the phone and returned the phone.

On 9/14/24, at approximately 3:29 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found drugs. The officer seized the drug but was unable to locate or identify a suspect. 

On 9/14/24, officers observed a green in color SUV traveling at a high rate of speed traveling northbound on Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop and cleared the driver with a warning. 

On 9/14/24, at approximately 9:46 a.m., a male party forgot to secure his truck and another unknown male party entered it and took approximately $5 in change and one credit card. Images of the suspect were gathered from surveillance footage and LE working on identifying to file charges. 

On 9/14/24, officers were dispatched to a report of an animal that had been locked/left in a vehicle for an extended period of time. Black Hawk Police Department located the owner of the animal and cleared with a verbal warning. 

On 9/14/24, an officer was dispatched to the Monarch Casino Hotel on a report of a found firearm in a hotel room safe. Upon arrival, the officer retrieved the firearm and took it to the Black Hawk Police Department for processing. 

On 9/14/24, at approximately 3:38 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on the report of a suspicious party. A male party was contacted, evaluated by medics, and taken into custody on unrelated warrants. 

On 9/14/24, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a male and female who didn't pay their bill at the Brew Brothers restaurant. They were contacted and paid their bill. 

On 9/14/24, at approximately 11:02 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a flagged account. Upon investigations the party with the flagged account had warrants. Officers later arrested the party. 

On 9/14/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers arrived, spoke to the victim and reviewed the footage where they observed the theft. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but were unable to at this time. 

On 9/15/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report that a vehicle ran into the doors leading to the elevator lobby on level eight of the parking garage. A report was taken. 

On 9/15/24, at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street on a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver was given a warning and released. 

On 9/15/24, at approximately 10:27 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino Hotel on a disturbance. The male suspect was arrested and booked into Gilpin County Jail for assault. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar on a report of a possible purse theft. The purse was located, all contents were verified by the owner, and it was returned. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 2:12 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. The victim provided their information, a report was taken and the investigation is ongoing. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 1:28 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a trespassed party sitting at the bar. The male was contacted, readvised of his trespass, and departed the property without incident. 

On 9/16/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Carriage House parking lot on a report of a damaged fire extinguisher box. A report was taken and the case remains open for further surveillance review. 

On 9/16/24, an officer was issued a cold theft case that occurred at the Monarch garage. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 2:23 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 7:49 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display a license plate occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/16/24, at approximately 10:47 p.m., officers responded to the bus stop at Main Street and Gregory Street on a report of an unwanted rider. The male party was compliant, exited the bus, and coordinated a ride home. 

On 9/17/24, officers were in the Monarch parking garage and observed a property damage traffic accident. The registered owners were notified and information was shared. A report was taken. 

On 9/17/24, at approximately 5:01 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of possible drug paraphernalia. The party was contacted, identified, and then asked to leave the property. 

On 9/17/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs. There were no leads or suspect information. The baggie was collected and booked into evidence for destruction. 

On 9/17/24, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the Z Casino to attempt to locate a suspect of a theft that had occurred at the Wild Card Casino. A suspect was contacted, identified, and arrested on outstanding warrants. The stolen property was recovered and the suspect was issued a summons for the theft. A report was completed. 

On 9/17/24, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display tail lights occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/17/24, at approximately 8:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed. 

On 9/17/24, at approximately 9:40 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a call of a counterfeit $10 bill. The bill was confiscated and booked into evidence. 

On 9/17/24, an officer was assigned a cold theft report that occurred at the Monarch parking garage. No suspect was identified.

On 9/18/24, at approximately 5:12 a.m., officers responded to Horseshoe Casino on a report of a phone theft. The suspect was contacted and the victim didn't want to press charges. The phone was booked for safekeeping. 

On 9/18/24, at approximately 1:26 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found property. Property was recovered and transported to the Black Hawk Police Department, where it was booked in for safekeeping.

On 9/18/24, at approximately 2:14 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of found drugs. The found drugs were unable to be associated with a suspect and the narcotics were booked for destruction. A report was completed. 

On 9/18/24, a woman called to report that her personal identifying information was stolen from a vehicle at the Ameristar Casino in 2021. She reported that fraudulent accounts have since been opened in her name. A report was taken. 

On 9/18/24, officers were dispatched to a report of found drugs at Bally's North. Upon arrival, officers retrieved the drug paraphernalia and could not identify suspect information. Officers will confiscate and book in for destruction. 

On 9/19/24, at approximately 2:29 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of found drugs. A white powdery substance was recovered from the scene and has been booked into safekeeping to be destroyed. An unknown male suspect could not be identified. 

On 9/19/24, at approximately 2:50 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a dine and dash. The suspect was later transported to a metro area hospital for medical reasons. 

On 9/20/24, at approximately 2:52 a.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a lost watch. A report was taken. 

On 9/20/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a Hit and Run that occurred on 9/16/24. Officers spoke to the victim and gathered information, as well as reviewed surveillance. 

On 9/20/24, at approximately 2:28 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A male party was contacted and a suspected counterfeit bill was seized. 

On 9/21/24, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of stolen money. After investigations, no theft or crime occurred and a report was taken. 

On 9/21/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to High Street on a report of a suspicious male party. Officers contacted the male party and determined that the male party had a warrant. When officers attempted to place him into custody, the male party ran. Officers were unable to locate the male party. 

On 9/21/24, at approximately 6:51 p.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a stolen jacket. A suspect was later found at the Monarch Casino, where the coat was recovered. The suspect was issued a summons for theft. 

On 9/21/24, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a vehicle accident in the parking garage. The officer obtained all pertinent information and took a report. 

On 9/21/24, officers responded to a disturbance at the Monarch Hotel. A male and female were contacted and the disturbance was verbal only. No crime occurred and a FI report was completed. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 10:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found drugs. Officers later identified and located the suspect and issued him a summons. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. After investigations, officers were able to partially identify the suspect. Investigations pending. 

On 9/22/24, an officer was assigned a cold lost property report. The victim was contacted and she stated that she had found her lost property. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 11 a.m., an officer completed a report of damaged city property occurring at 911 Miners Road. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 1:23 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report was completed. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed. 

On 9/22/24, at approximately 4:25 p.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. A suspect was identified and an investigation is ongoing. A report was completed. 

On 9/23/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no lights. The driver was released on a verbal warning. 

On 9/23/24, the Black Hawk Police Department observed a motorist failing to maintain a proper lane. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver and passenger were found to be both protected and restrained in a protection order. The restrained was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail and issued a summons. 

On 9/23/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a disturbance. A report was taken. 

On 9/23/24, officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino regarding found drug paraphernalia. Property was collected and a report was taken. 

On 9/23/24, at approximately 1:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a REDDI vehicle at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/24/24, Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not maintain a proper lane on the 500 block of Gregory. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 9/24/24, an officer responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was identified and a summons was issued for the theft. 

On 9/24/24, at approximately 3:26 p.m., an officer took a report over the phone of a theft that had previously occurred at the Monarch Casino. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing. 

 On 9/24/24, at approximately 7:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane, no headlights and a brake light out occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/24/24, Black Hawk Police officers were flagged down by a motorist. The motorist was involved in a hit-and-run with another vehicle that fled the scene. Police officers then came into contact with the suspect vehicle who fled the area at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue and then referred to Colorado State Patrol to take an accident report. 

On 9/24/24, Black Hawk Police Officers assisted Colorado Division of Gaming at Ameristar. Gaming conducted an interview and issued a summons to the suspect in this case. 

On 9/25/24, Black Hawk Police Department assisted Colorado Division of Gaming at The Monarch Casino. Black Hawk officers provided cover while Gaming discussed a gaming violation with a suspect who was later released on a warning. 

On 9/26/24, at approximately 1:16 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street on the report of damage to City property. A sign post had been knocked over and was lying in the median. 

On 9/26/24, at approximately 11:35 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street on the report of a suspicious person. A female party was contacted and released on a warning for possession of paraphernalia. 

On 9/26/24, a woman contacted the Black Hawk Police department to report that her Apple Airpods had been stolen from the Ameristar Hotel between September 7 - 8. A report has been taken and a suspect has not been identified at this time. 

On 9/26/24, at approximately 10:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. Officers later identified a suspect and issued them a summons. 

On 9/27/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a disturbance. A female was arrested for harassment and obstructing the police. They were then transported to Gilpin Jail. 

On 9/27/24, officers were contacted by a female who wanted to report her friend as missing. The friend was later located at the Monarch Casino. 

On 9/27/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a trespassed party. The casino staff couldn't provide documentation that the male was notified of trespass but the male had two unrelated warrants. The male was transported to the jail on the warrants and advised of the permanent trespass. 

On 9/26/24, at approximately 3 p.m., a report came in from the Monarch Casino regarding an employee slashing another employee's tire. The case is being investigated to determine if there is ample evidence for charges. 

On 9/27/24, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. A female person of interest has been identified. 

On 9/27/24, at approximately 5:32 p.m., officers observed a vehicle in the 6300 block Highway 119 with no license plates. The driver was stopped and provided information showing the vehicle was purchased but had failed emissions and had an active plan on resolving the issue. The driver was given a warning. 

On 9/27/24, at approximately 6:33 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a patron who had passed a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill was seized and a report was taken. 

On 9/27/24, at approximately 7:07 p.m., responded to 101 Main Street for a party who was exhibiting a mental health crisis and wished to voluntarily be transported to the hospital. 

On 9/27/24, at approximately 9:31 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a physical altercation in progress. All parties involved were identified and a report was taken. 

On 9/28/24, at approximately 12:02 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check on a party sleeping on the parking lot ground inside the Lady Luck parking garage. The party was arrested for actively violating a protection order. 

On 9/28/24, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a hit and run. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the victim. Officers went to surveillance and determined that they could not see the accident due to the poor camera quality. 

On 9/28/24, at approximately 3:04 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. Officers identified the owner of the counterfeit bill and seized the bill. 

On 9/28/24, an officer responded to the Bally's West casino on the report of found drugs. There is suspect information. The case is active. 

On 9/28/24, a woman called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that she was missing two jackets after staying at the Ameristar Casino. A report was taken and no suspects have been identified. 

On 9/28/24, at approximately 8:03 p.m., officers were alerted to a wanted vehicle by the Denver police department in the 488 block of Main Street. The vehicle was seized and the occupants identified. 

On 9/28/24, at approximately 9:28 p.m., a vehicle turned from Richman Street onto the opposing lane of traffic on Highway 119. The driver was contacted and was okay, but was confused with the area as they were tourists. The driver was given a warning. 

On 9/29/24, at approximately 12:34 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving excessively under the speed limit and failing to maintain lane at Highway 119 at Miners Road. This was due to the driver covering their speedometer cluster with their phone to watch videos. The vehicle's plate was also expired. The driver was cited. 

On 9/28/24, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a theft of property from a vehicle. No suspects were found by surveillance. 

On 9/29/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of possible threats by a former employee. 

On 9/29/24, at approximately 2:48 p.m., officers checked the welfare of a party at the Ameristar parking garage. The driver checked okay and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/29/24, at approximately 4:53 p.m., officers contacted two juveniles climbing the face of the mountain off the 200 block of Bobtail Road. The juveniles were reunited with a responsible adult and a report was completed. 

On 9/29/24, at approximately 3:14 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at the 1000 block of Dory Hill Road. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 9/29/24, Black Hawk Police Department provided cover for the Colorado Division of Gaming. An interview was conducted and suspects were released on a summons. 

On 9/30/24, officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino regarding damaged property. According to staff the damaged property incident occurred on 8/20/24. A report was taken. 

On 9/30/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that failed to display any registration. The driver was released on a warning. 

On 9/30/24, Black Hawk Police Department officers were dispatched to the Monarch poker room in reference to an assault. The victim refused to cooperate. 

On 9/30/24, Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a verbal disturbance that turned physical at Ameristar. Black Hawk officers separated the parties and subsequently placed three individuals into custody and transported them to the Gilpin County Jail. Two additional subjects were given a summons and released.
