On 7/1/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill used to gamble.
On 7/1/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to assist a fugitive unit tracking a wanted person. Officers later arrested two suspects and turned them over to Westminster PD without incident.
On 7/2/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a male who was assaulted. A report was taken.
On 7/2/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. A male party was issued a municipal summons.

On 7/4/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for an intoxicated party. A municipal summons was issued for this incident.
On 7/4/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated party driving on Highway 119. The driver was contacted and a report was taken.
On 7/5/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. A suspect was originally reported to be on scene, but after further surveillance review, it was unclear where or if the drugs actually came from the party. A report was taken and drugs seized.
On 7/5/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the south entrance of the Lodge Casino in reference to an intoxicated subject refusing to leave the premises. Subject was taken into protective custody.
On 7/6/21, Black Hawk officers contacted a male party at the first level of Isle Casino’s parking garage regarding a suspicion of driving under the influence. The male party refused field sobriety and was released on a Gilpin County summons.
On 7/6/21, a Black Hawk office was dispatched to the Isle Casino on a report of a stolen cellphone. During the investigation, a potential male suspect was seen on surveillance video but no positive identification could be obtained and he left before the officer’s arrival. No player’s card was used and no suspect vehicle could be identified.
On 7/7/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Wild Card Casino on a report of an individual that attempted to pass two counterfeit $20 bills. The individual was unaware that he received the two counterfeit bills from either the Isle Casino or from an Uber fare. The counterfeit bills were seized for evidence.
On 7/7/21, Black Hawk officers located a stolen vehicle on the fourth floor of the Lady Luck parking garage. The vehicle was parked and unoccupied. There is no suspect information at this time.
On 7/7/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of an assault. A male party was contacted, issued a summons for harassment, and arrested on a warrant.
On 7/8/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of found drugs and a possible physical disturbance. The investigation is ongoing.
On 7/8/21, a vehicle was stolen from The Dakota parking lot located at 255 Main Street by a described blacked-out no company logo tow truck. The case remains an active open investigation.
On 7/9/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a robbery. A male party was arrested for aggravated robbery.
On 7/8/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a stolen jacket and cell phone from an employee area. A summons was issued for theft.
On 7/9/21, Black Hawk Police officers witnessed a disturbance between a male and female party in the 300 block of Main Street. After an investigation, the female party was arrested for violation of a protection order and other crimes and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 7/10/21, Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a hit and run car crash. There was one suspect.
On 7/10/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a suicidal party with a weapon. An adult male was taken into custody without incident.
On 7/10/2011, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a $100 counterfeit bill. It was later determined the bill was not counterfeit but a prop bill/play money.
On 7/10/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel regarding a physical disturbance. An adult male party was taken into custody.
On 7/11/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a protection order violation. One male was arrested on the charge of Violation of Protection Order and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 7/12/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a suicidal male party. One male was taken into protective custody and was transported to a local hospital on a mental health hold.
On 7/12/21, a female called the police department and advised her vehicle was damaged in the Monarch parking garage on 7/8/21. The victim’s vehicle was parked unattended on level 4 and when she returned there was damage to her back bumper. Monarch surveillance was able to identify the suspect and provided that information to the police department. An investigation was conducted and officers are attempting to contact the suspect. A report was taken.
On 7/12/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck casino on the report of identity fraud. The subject was identified, her age was verified as over 21, and she was given a warning.
On 7/12/21, Black Hawk police responded to the North Clear Creek Water Treatment Plant located at 6191 Highway 119 on a damaged property call. While on scene, officers were advised of damage to windows that were damaged at an unknown time by an unknown means.
A report was taken to document the damage.
On 7/12/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino in reference to a counterfeit bill. A suspect was identified, the bill was seized, and a report was taken.
On 7/12/21, Black Hawk officers recovered a stolen vehicle at the Monarch parking garage. A male suspect was identified and a report was taken.
On 7/12/21, Black Hawk officers responded to Bally’s Casino on report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave. The subject was identified and taken to a detox facility.
On 7/12/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit $10 bill. The money was seized and booked into evidence.
On 7/13/21, Black Hawk officers made contact with a resident located at 371 High Street on the report of a municipal code violation for a camper on property. A warning was issued in reference obtaining a 72 hour permit.
On 7/13/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill was confiscated and a report was completed.
On 7/13/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the North Clear Creek Water Treatment Plant on the report of damaged windows. Officers saw a male in the general area prior to the report and were able to locate that same party approximately one mile from the plant. The male admitted to breaking the windows, however claimed it was to get away from wildlife that was trying to get him. He continued to hallucinate wildlife around him and stated the cats were going to get him. The male party has mental health issues and continues to show signs he may be a harm to himself or others. A report was taken for the damage and the male was taken to the hospital for further mental health evaluation.
On 7/13/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Golden Gate Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized.
On 7/13/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the 400 Block of Main Street in regards to a female on the sidewalk area making catlike noises and hissing at people as they walked by. Officers made contact and the female was transported to Lutheran Medical Center on an M-1 hold.
On 7/14/21, a report was taken regarding damage to city property. A corner fence pole at the intersection of Selak Street and Gregory Street was discovered to have damage from an unknown origin. There is no suspect information or evidence on how the damage occurred.
On 7/14/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a found handgun, which was recovered in a room, along with an eight-round magazine and eight 9mm cartridges. Although the former occupants of the room are known the actual owner of the handgun has not been determined.
On 7/14/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft of money from a purse. A suspect was later processed and released pending charges for theft.
On 7/15/21, a Black Hawk detective responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a welfare check regarding a child found in the hotel stairwell. All parties were contacted and the child was released to her mother.
On 7/16/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had a window broken at the Lady Luck Casino. A report was taken and no suspects have been identified.
On 7/16/21, Black Hawk officers were notified of suspicious activity in the Saratoga parking garage. A male suspect was later located, contacted, and arrested on multiple active warrants.
On 7/17/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Mardi Gras Casino on the report of a theft of a wallet. Two suspects were arrested as fugitives of justice.
On 7/17/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a reported hostage situation in the parking garage. Upon arrival, it was discovered there was not a hostage situation. One male was arrested for harassment and released on a municipal summons.
On 7/17/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of counterfeit US Currency. The currency was seized.
On 7/18/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino and took a report for a truck that was broken into on level 4 of the garage. The truck was parked and left unattended. Small hand tools were taken from the cab of the truck. No suspects were identified.
On 7/18/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a male party attempting to use the identification of another male party to cash a check at the Isle and Lady Luck Casinos. The male suspect was contacted and released pending charges.
On 7/18/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the KMM garage on the report of a vehicle break-in. It was determined to be an attempted vehicle theft. No suspects have been identified.
On 7/19/21, Black Hawk officers took a report from a party who stated their white Dodge Durango with Texas plates was broken into and their Smith and Wesson gun was stolen along with some personal items. The vehicle was unlocked and undamaged. The victim did not notice the items missing until the next day when they had already left the area. A report was taken.
On 7/19/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino where they confiscated a fake ID. Attempts are being made to locate the owner and determine if the ID is stolen.
On 7/19/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found controlled substances. A suspect was unable to be identified. The suspected drugs were seized for destruction.
On 7/20/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the fifth of the Monarch parking garage in reference to two subjects attempting to gain entry into a white Suburban. Subjects were located and an arrest was made for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
On 7/20/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill passed at the baccarat table. The suspect was contacted and stated he obtained the bill from the ATM. The bill was seized and will later be sent to the secret service.
On 7/20/21, a male party called in and stated his wife’s purse was stolen from their black Range Rover while it was parked on level 1 of the Isle garage 401 Main Street. Surveillance was watched and the victim’s vehicle was never seen on footage. A suspect was not identified.
On 7/20/21, a Black Hawk officer took a phone report at 221 Church Street. The victim stated she left a safe at the Isle Casino hotel and when she went back to the hotel the safe had not been turned in.
On 7/20/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a handgun found in a hotel room while staff was cleaning the room. The previous tenants denied bringing a pistol to Black Hawk.
On 7/20/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disorderly person who refused to leave. The suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
On 7/22/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino regarding a theft. One female suspect was identified and arrested. She was transported to the Black Hawk Police Department where she was processed and released pending felony theft related charges.
On 7/23/21, Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle that attempted to go around a road closure at the intersection of Main and Highway 119. A male party was arrested and released on a summons for driving under the influence.
On 7/24/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino with a counterfeit bill. The counterfeit bill was seized and suspect information was obtained.
On 7/24/21, Black Hawk officers received a report by phone of a wallet theft from the Z Casino on 7/23. A suspect was seen, but not identified as of the time of this report.
On 7/25/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino to speak to a female party who claimed her bank information was stolen the day prior and they had drained her bank account. The crime occurred in Loveland, Colorado, and she was referred to that jurisdiction to file the report. An information report was taken.
On 7/25/21, Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received an email threat to the Ameristar Casino claiming that the sender will create an active shooter incident within the next few weeks. The email had a named sender, but the name has not been verified at this time.
On 7/26/21, a Black Hawk officer took a phone report for a vehicle trespass that occurred on 7/25 at the Isle Casino parking garage level 1. The vehicle was not damaged and personal items were stolen. No suspect was identified and a report was taken.
On 7/26/21, Black Hawk officers recovered a stolen handgun and other property inside of a stolen vehicle in the Monarch parking area.
On 7/27/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a Reddi report regarding a black Honda Accord leaving the Monarch Casino parking garage being operated by an intoxicated male. The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for DUI.
On 7/27/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a disturbance report involving two adult males. Both male parties were trespassed from the casino as a result.
On 7/27/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a suicidal female that stole her boyfriend’s vehicle from the Town of Breckenridge. The vehicle was located on level 2 of the garage. While officers were determining what was going to be done with the vehicle, the female came out to the vehicle and was detained. Breckenridge Police were contacted and a stolen vehicle entry was made by their department but they advised they would be issuing a warrant for the female instead of coming down to pick her up. The vehicle was impounded and the female was released pending Breckenridge Police charges.
On 7/27/21, Black Hawk officers took a report by phone for a wallet missing from the Monarch Casino. The owner believes she may have left it in the hotel room, but a check of the room by Monarch security produced negative results.
On 7/27/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft of a wallet. There was no camera coverage where the theft took place, and the suspect could not be identified.
On 7/28/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of lost property. A report was taken, and surveillance is conducting a review.
On 7/29/21, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a male trespassing. The male was arrested for obstructing police.
On 7/29/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a found purse that contained drugs and drug paraphernalia. The owner could not be identified and the purse and its contents were entered into the property room.
On 7/31/21, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a stolen trailer and Hotsy. The male suspect was seen leaving the area in a white newer model Ford F-150 with ladder racks and ladders over the bed.
On 7/31/21, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft and a trespass. The suspect was identified and will be issued a summons.
On 7/31/21, officers responded to Isle Casino in reference to a found hidden camera inside a guest’s room. The camera was seized.
