On 12/1/25, at approximately 3:14 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of a theft that had previously occurred. A suspect was contacted and returned the stolen property. A report was completed.

On 12/1/25, an officer responded to the Bally's garage on the report of a male party possibly smoking drugs. The suspect had several warrants. He was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/1/25, at approximately 8:41 p.m., Black Hawk police officers attempted to locate a subject on a welfare check/missing person report at the Lodge Casino. Officers contacted the subject and he stated he was not in need of any help. He then provided false information about his location due to having a felony warrant. The subject was not located after a search of the area and city.

On 12/2/25, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe garage, on a report of a theft that had previously occurred. It was unable to be determined that a theft took place, and a report for lost property was completed.

On 12/2/25, an officer responded to the Lady Luck valet lot on the report of a non-injury hit-and-run accident. A possible suspect vehicle was identified and will be charged with the hit-and-run.

On 12/2/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a damaged box on city property. A report and a Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) form were completed for this case.

On 12/2/25, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights and no license plate displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/2/25, at approximately 11:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for going the wrong way on a one-way street, occurring at Gregory and Selak Streets. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/3/25, an officer responded to 7457 Blackhawk Boulevard for a report of damage to a vehicle. The scene was investigated and a report taken.

On 12/3/25, at approximately 9:26 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for impeding traffic and conducting a prohibited U-Turn at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/4/25, at approximately 7:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a verbal disturbance. Shortly after, dispatch advised that it turned physical. Upon investigation, it was discovered that one of the males involved had attempted to report a rental car stolen twice earlier in the day, and several individuals were subsequently arrested on outstanding warrants.

On 12/4/25, at approximately 8:55 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Gregory Street without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/5/25, officers took a phone call from a male reporting a scam involving the transfer of money and subsequent harassing text messages. It was determined that the money transfers occurred in Thornton, Colorado, and the male was advised to file a report with Thornton Police. A report was taken on the threatening text messages.

On 12/5/25, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino in reference to a harassment call. An employee of the casino was receiving unwanted letters and phone calls from a guest. No criminal offense existed; however, the guest was located and issued a criminal trespass for the Lodge Casino.

On 12/5/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle running a stop sign at the intersection of Miners and Bobtail Roads. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. An arrest was made, and a report was taken.

On 12/5/25, at approximately 7:51 p.m., Black Hawk officers contacted a female who was sleeping on the sidewalk in the cold. The female was intoxicated and found a sober ride to pick her up.

On 12/5/25, at approximately 11:28 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 for driving without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/6/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Gilpin and Wild Card Casinos on a report of an intoxicated party. The party was advised not to go back to the Gilpin or Lodge Casinos.

On 12/6/25, at approximately 2:28 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a report of a theft of a firearm from a motor vehicle at the Ameristar Casino garage on the up-ramp on level 5 going to level 6. After the investigation, officers were able to link the theft to a potential suspect. The vehicle owner was issued a summons for not having secure firearm storage in the vehicle. The case is still pending for further investigation.

On 12/6/25, at approximately 2:42 p.m., a complainant called the Black Hawk Police Department to report a lost wallet. The complainant stated that he lost his wallet approximately four to seven days ago, and was unsure as to where he lost it. A report was taken.

On 12/6/25, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a possible trespass. Upon investigation, the individual just needed to leave the hotel room, but later claimed he was poisoned. The individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

On 12/6/25, at approximately 10:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for conducting a U-turn where prohibited and merging into a straight-only lane without a turn signal. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/6/25, at approximately 1:26 a.m., officers were searching the creekside near Bally's North building for another investigation. While walking the side of the creek, officers noticed graffiti in one of the storm drains. Streets was later notified to conduct a cleanup.

On 12/7/25, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a stop sign while exiting the Horseshoe parking garage, and for not having their headlights on. A driver was contacted and confirmed to have a warrant for their arrest and to be a habitual traffic offender. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/7/25, at approximately 12:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6, for weaving. Upon contact, the driver did not have valid registration and could not provide valid insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 12/7/25, an officer took a telephone report of a theft that was thought to have occurred at the Ameristar Casino. The theft resulted in fraudulent activity when the victim's bank card was used without their consent. There is no suspect information; the case is active.

On 12/7/25, at approximately 9:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for conducting an improper turn at the intersection of Highway 119 and Selak Street. The passenger of the vehicle refused repeated orders to step out of the car and was detained. The driver was issued a verbal warning for the driving action, and the passenger was issued a summons for obstructing a public official. A report was completed.

On 12/7/25, at approximately 9:42 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on a damaged property report. The male suspect had left prior to the officer’s arrival, and surveillance is reviewing video footage to identify him.

On 12/7/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street for found property. Officers confiscated drug paraphernalia found inside the property. Officers then contacted the owner of the found property and advised that the Gilpin Casino had the property. She was trespassed from the property and told to take her belongings; however, she refused to collect her property. Gilpin Casino staff will add property to its lost and found for collection.

On 12/8/25, at approximately 3:04 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs with a suspect still on scene. Two baggies of narcotics were seized, a suspect was contacted and arrested. A report was completed.

On 12/8/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for the report of harassment. The suspect was later issued a summons.

On 12/8/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an unwanted party on the property. After contact and evaluation, the male was put on an Mental Health - 1 Hold and transported to the hospital by medics.

On 12/9/25, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a damaged slot machine. The male was still on the property. He was issued a summons for the damaged property and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On 12/9/25, at approximately 2:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Gilpin Casino for a verbal disturbance. A female patron was charged with harassment for grabbing a security guard and was then released.

On 12/9/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and booked into evidence.

On 12/10/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of damage to a vehicle. The suspect was identified and advised that he had left a note on the vehicle. The suspect agreed to work out the issue with the victim.

On 12/10/25, at approximately 8:37 p.m., officers contacted a vehicle that was parked right outside the radio tower located at 100 Miners Mesa Road. A driver was contacted who stated that they were a subcontractor for Verizon Wireless and presented a work order for the radio tower. It was determined that no crime was committed.

On 12/10/25, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119, near mile marker 6, without number plates attached. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver did not have a valid driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 12/11/25, at approximately 11:46 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 5.8, equipped with bright blue lights. The driver was given a verbal warning and was advised that they can’t have blue or red lights on their vehicle.

On 12/11/25, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred at Highway 119 and Main Street. Upon arrival, a Gilpin County deputy was on scene. The driver was being taken to Intermountain Health Lutheran Medical Center. After the investigation, Black Hawk officers wrote the driver a summons at the hospital.

On 12/11/25, an officer received a phone report of stolen items from a vehicle at the Horseshoe garage. A report was taken.

On 12/11/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle disregarding a stop sign at the intersection of Miners Mesa and Bobtail Roads. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on level one of the Monarch Casino parking garage. A verbal warning was issued.

On 12/11/25, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light and blocking the entrance onto Selak Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/11/25, Black Hawk officers received a phone report of an incident at Horseshoe Casino that involved children being left alone in a hotel room while their parent went to the casino. The children are safe and the case is under investigation.

On 12/11/25, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for trespassing individual on property. The individual was contacted and cited.

On 12/11/25, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 and Richman Street because of a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) report. Upon further investigation, the driver was placed into custody and issued a summons.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 12:03 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer observed a vehicle revving its engine and traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Main Street from the Monarch Casino. A driver was contacted and told to slow down. A verbal warning was given.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a lost property of a silver wallet at the Ameristar Casino in the poker area. After the investigation, officers were unable to determine if the wallet was stolen. Officers are waiting on surveillance footage to determine if this was a theft.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 4:28 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 for driving without headlights when required. Upon contact, the driver was unable to provide valid insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers were flagged down while driving past the Dakota Lot at 245 Main Street for a Hit-and-Run accident. After the investigation, officers were able to locate a suspect and are waiting to get in contact.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers received a REDDI report from the Ameristar Casino. Per Ameristar surveillance, the individual driving was deemed intoxicated by casino staff and was observed exiting the wrong way from valet. The vehicle was found, and a driver was contacted who was later deemed intoxicated. A report was completed.

On 12/12/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected, and a report taken.

On 12/12/25, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a hit and run. The suspect was tracked down and was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 12/12/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a physical altercation. A summons was issued, and a report was taken.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 12:01 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag and a defective left brake light.

On 12/13/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on an in-progress physical altercation. An arrest was made, and a report was taken.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 6:56 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a stolen wallet. A report was taken.

On 12/13/25, items were found in the booking area of the police department. The items were booked into safekeeping until an owner could be identified.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 1 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to two firearms that were abandoned inside of a hotel room. Upon arrival, officers took possession of the firearms and placed them into safekeeping.

On 12/13/25, officers took a call for a male who left without paying for his meal at Brew Brothers, located in the Horseshoe Casino.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a lost wallet. Upon investigation, the wallet was returned, but the money was missing. The investigation is ongoing until a conclusion can be made.

On 12/13/25, at 7:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of an intoxicated driver leaving the Ameristar garage. The driver was seen consuming alcohol and stumbling before he got into his vehicle. An officer observed the vehicle at Main and Miners and initiated a traffic stop. The driver pulled into Horseshoe valet and stopped on level 1 where he was identified and arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol (DUI).

On 12/13/25, at approximately 7:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a party who was trespassing in a hotel room. Upon investigation, the party was contacted and was issued a Municipal Summons.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 8:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched for a phone report of a potential theft at the Horseshoe Casino Hotel. After the investigation, officers located the property, the owner was contacted, and the property was added to safekeeping.

On 12/13/25, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to an active disturbance. Upon arrival, the involved individuals were separated, and medical personnel were requested. One individual was transported to the hospital, and one to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. The case remains open pending further investigation.

On 12/14/25, at approximately 12:04 a.m., officers with the help of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office, responded to the Ameristar Casino for a disturbance and possible sex assault. A report was completed, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 12/14/25, at approximately 3:37 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a theft of a cell phone. After the investigation, officers were able to locate the suspect. This case will remain active.

On 12/14/25, at approximately 4:32 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a trespass at the Monarch Casino.

On 12/14/25, at approximately 10:14 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on an in-progress altercation between several people. The incident took place in an Ameristar hotel room. A male party was arrested and booked into Gilpin County Jail for Harassment and Criminal Mischief Domestic Violence.

On 12/14/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of a trespassing party who was located back on the property's main casino floor. Officers made contact with the suspect and issued a summons into court. The suspect was released and escorted off the property.

On 12/14/25, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino, for a damaged slot machine. The suspect was identified by his player's card information. He will be contacted and charged.

On 12/14/25, officers were dispatched to 240 Main Street on a report of a lost identification card. Casino staff and the victim are working together to have the document returned.

On 12/15/25, an officer responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on the report of a vehicle break-in. The vehicle owners stated that nothing was damaged or taken.

On 12/15/25, at approximately 4:58 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a physical disturbance that was no longer active at the cash cage. The parties involved were contacted and were determined to be friends. One of the involved parties, however, had an active arrest warrant and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/15/25, at approximately 11:41 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights displayed occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/15/25, at approximately 11:50 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/16/25, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display a license plate occurring at Bobtail Road and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/16/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a possible disturbance inside a hotel room. After speaking with both involved parties, officers were informed it was only a verbal argument.

On 12/16/25, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers removed house cleaning signs that were posted throughout the city. The owner was called and given a warning that it is not allowed.

On 12/16/25, at approximately 10:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display tail lamps occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/17/25, an officer responded to the Monarch garage on the report of a suspicious party smoking drugs in the garage. The suspect was contacted, and no drugs or paraphernalia were found.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 5:16 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for suspicious activity. An individual was observed on Monarch surveillance who matched the description of a suspected fraudster. Upon further investigation, it was determined that no crime was committed.

On 12/17/25, an officer was issued a cold phone theft report that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. A suspect was identified and issued a summons for the theft.

On 12/17/25, Black Hawk officers observed a traffic infraction that occurred on the roadway. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a verbal warning.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 1:26 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 1:55 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no tail lights displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 9:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The vehicle also had an expired license plate from 8/24. The driver was cited.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in reference to a slot machine that was damaged at approximately 1:16 a.m. A suspect was identified.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 9:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/17/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a phone report involving a missing $200 that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. Ameristar Casino surveillance reviewed footage and advised officers that they do not see the money drop from the reporting party or someone taking the money off the ground or on a slot machine. With further information it was determined that no crime was committed.

On 12/17/25, at approximately 10:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Gregory Street without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/17/25, Black Hawk officers were doing routine patrol in the Monarch garage when they noticed an unoccupied vehicle with temporary license plates that appeared fraudulent and with the ignition punched out. Officers collected the plate and contacted the driver. The driver's information was collected and they were released pending further investigation.

On 12/18/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a party trying to collect his friend's jackpot. Officers attempted to locate the friend, who has outstanding warrants. An arrest was made, and a report was taken.

On 12/18/25, at approximately 10:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Grand Z Casino for an assist to Gilpin County Sheriff’s Department. Upon arrival, deputies had one male party in custody. The female party was escorted off the property and later given a courtesy ride. The male party was taken to Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/19/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and a report was taken.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 1:33 p.m., officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a malfunctioning traffic light - failed to give right-of-way to another stopped vehicle, at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a warning.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 3:01 p.m., officers observed a vehicle fail to stop for a malfunctioning traffic light - failed to give right-of-way to another stopped vehicle, at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a warning.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 8:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to yield the right of way when turning left. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 9:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound Main Street for driving without headlights when required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving northbound Highway 119 with defective headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 10:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a temporary tag that appeared to be fictitious. Upon investigation, the temporary tag was seized and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 12/19/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female who was combative at the Saratoga Casino. A report was taken.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 10:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on a traffic stop on Main Street near the Monarch parking garage when they heard a male and female arguing on level 2. The male and female were contacted and the female was arrested for Domestic Violence/Harassment and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/19/25, at approximately 11:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for weaving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 2:21a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a welfare check on an individual walking southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6.5. Upon further investigation it was discovered the individual had a warrant and was transported to the Gilpin County Sheriff's office.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 2:52 a.m., Black Hawk officers were called to the Ameristar Casino for a male sleeping on the third floor. The male was intoxicated and was taken to detox.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a guest causing a disturbance in the lobby. The guest was contacted and later taken to detox after he returned to the property. There was also a female arrested for being in contact with the guest who was in violation of a protection order.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 7:35 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino hotel lobby in reference to an intoxicated subject on premises. Officers located the subject and took him into protective custody until a sober party arrived to take custody of the subject.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 8:35 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling westbound on Gregory Street, for failing to stop at an intersection when signals are inoperative. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 12:05 p.m., officers observed a possibly abandoned vehicle with a hate symbol drawn on it, in the parking garage of the Monarch Casino. A report was taken.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 12:48 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regard to a welfare check. The subject's wife called the Black Hawk Police Department stating that she had not heard from her husband and was worried about him. Officers were able to locate the subject and determine that he was fine.

On 12/20/25, at approximately 9:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a physical disturbance between a male and female party at the Ameristar Casino, leaving the garage in a vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. After the investigation, the male was placed into custody and taken to the Black Hawk Police Department. Due to medical reasons the suspect was taken to Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital for a medical clearance. The suspect was then taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/21/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a medical call at 101 Main Street, where a male party was overdosing. Officers performed life saving measures until medics arrived. Officers located drug paraphernalia near the male party. Officers will be booking the paraphernalia for destruction.

On 12/21/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen wallet. After conducting a surveillance review, there was no evidence that the reporting party's wallet was lost or stolen at the Horseshoe.

On 12/21/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a physical assault, possibly domestic violence. Officers spoke with one of the involved parties and reviewed surveillance video footage. Officers were unable to locate the second party, but a warrant was issued.

On 12/21/25, at approximately 6:50 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino, on a report of lost property. An investigation is ongoing and a report was completed.

On 12/21/25, at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino Hotel for a reported strong odor of an unknown substance from a hotel room. The occupant of the hotel room was contacted and admitted to using an illegal narcotic. Due to her health issues, she was released pending criminal charges.

On 12/21/25, at approximately 10:13 p.m., a sergeant completed a traffic stop at mile marker (MM) 5.8 on Highway 119 for a vehicle that was traveling approximately 50 miles per hour (mph) in a posted 35 MPH zone. The driver was given a verbal warning for speeding.

On 12/21/25, at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/22/25, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on an assist to the Colorado Division of Gaming (CDOG) for a gaming crime report. The suspect paid restitution and a report was completed.

On 12/22/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a disturbance at the Nest. Officers arrived and conducted an investigation. The Nest staff advised that they had a male guest whom they would like removed from the property. Officers made contact and escorted the male party off the property. Officers cleared the scene.

On 12/22/25, at approximately 8:44 p.m., dispatch aired that a subject was driving their white SUV without headlights activated and was speeding on Gregory and Main Streets. A sergeant observed a white SUV traveling southbound at Highway 119 at that same time. The white SUV was driving approximately 49 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. The SUV was stopped and the driver admitted to having his headlights off for a few moments. He was given a verbal warning for the speed and headlights.

On 12/22/25, at approximately 9:09 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to dim high beam lights and improper lane usage occurring at Main Street and Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/23/25, at approximately 1:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft that had previously occurred at Bally's West Casino. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 12/23/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 111 Richman Street on a report of a disturbance that occurred inside the hotel. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. They placed one female party into custody and transported the female to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/23/25, at approximately 7:17 p.m., a sergeant responded to 212 Lawrence Street in Central City to assist Gilpin County Sheriff's deputies on a shooting. The sergeant  assisted with detaining the suspect, who was released to Gilpin County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) custody for criminal charges. See GCSO reports for further information.

On 12/23/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Gold Mountain Village Apartments in Gilpin County for an in-progress disturbance. The officers arrived on scene and secured it until Gilpin County was able to respond. Black Hawk officers assisted Gilpin County in transporting one female party to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/23/25, at approximately 9:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving 30 mph in a 15 mph zone. The driver was given a verbal warning and released

On 12/23/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 111 Richman Street on a report of a verbal disturbance in the poker room. Officers arrived on scene and began an investigation. The officers were unable to determine that anything criminal had occurred and stood by as one male party was escorted off the property.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of harassment and disorderly conduct occurring in the poker room. The suspect left prior to the officer’s arrival and could not be identified. A report was completed.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 2:07 a.m., a sergeant was exiting the Ameristar Casino garage when he observed a black SUV traveling north at a high rate of speed. The vehicle had a loud exhaust as well. The sergeant activated his emergency lights and finally caught up to the SUV at the water treatment road. The estimated speed was in excess of the posted 35 mph zone. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Black Hawk police dispatch received a call of a subject in distress at the Ameristar Casino parking garage, level 6. Officers were unable to locate any disturbance or vehicles leaving the casino at that time. It appeared that this could have been a call made to distract officers as we were on another call for service when this came out. However, due to lack of evidence, officers are unsure if the two cases were connected.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 8 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle at the Lady Luck Garage. A person was contacted.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 8:57 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage of Ameristar. A party was contacted.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 5:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a civil matter. The reporting party stated he was scared because the casino trespassed on him.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 5:58 p.m., a sergeant completed a traffic stop at Gregory and Church Streets on a vehicle that did not have its headlights activated. The driver was issued a warning.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 7:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for not using turn signals and weaving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 9:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a lost wallet. After the investigation, the wallet was located under a slot machine and was given back to the female party. 

On 12/24/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 111 Richman Street on a report of found drugs. Surveillance initially thought they had a suspect on the property. Officers conducted an investigation and discovered that the male party who was accused was not the owner of the drugs. Officers released the initial suspect. Later, on 12/25/25, Black Hawk officers contacted the verified suspect and issued that male party a summons.

On 12/24/25, at approximately 11:32 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino, on a report of a counterfeit bill. A bill was seized, and a report was completed.

On 12/25/25, at approximately 12:02 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on a report of a domestic physical disturbance. After an investigation, a party was placed under arrest and ultimately released pending charges. A report was completed.

On 12/25/25, at  approximately 3:11 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for an intoxicated male refusing to leave the gaming floor. Upon arrival, it was discovered that this was related to a possible harassment incident that occurred between two individuals. After further investigation, it was determined that no crime was committed, and both parties separated for the evening. A report was completed.

On 12/25/25, at approximately 1:27 p.m., officers responded to the 240 block of Main Street for an intoxicated party. The party was medically checked and then released to a sober friend.

On 12/25/25, at approximately 4:08 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving and not using a turn signal. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/25/25, at approximately 9 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to an intoxicated party causing a disturbance with a female party at the Lodge Casino. Upon arrival, officers determined that the argument was only verbal, and both the female party and the male party were given a courtesy transport to the Ameristar Casino, so the male party could be taken back to their hotel room. Upon arrival at the room male party would not enter the room willingly and was not listening to officers. Due to the level of intoxication male party was put into protective custody and taken to the hospital.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 12:58 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 without headlights. Upon contact the driver was unable to provide valid insurance. The driver was issued a municipal summons.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed to have an expired Colorado temporary tag from 11/2025 traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6. A driver was contacted who proved that the vehicle was registered; however, they hadn't put their plates on yet. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/26/25 at 3:11 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed without headlights at the intersection of Miners Mesa and Main Street. A driver and a passenger were contacted. After further investigation, both parties had a mandatory protection order preventing them from contacting one another. The passenger was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 4:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of a theft. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the reporting party of the case had an active warrant and was placed into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 6:18 a.m., officers responded to 240 Main Street regarding a suspicious incident. A party was contacted and voluntarily allowed an item of interest to be seized.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 10:51 a.m., officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Horseshoe garage. One party was contacted and cleared.

On 12/26/25, at 11:42 a.m., officers were on an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) sweep of the Lady Luck garage when the reader alerted them to stolen license plates on a parked vehicle. The plates were seized.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 2:06 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Gregory Street in reference to a disorderly male. Officers made contact with the subject who had apparent mental health issues and was yelling aloud. No crime was committed, and the subject was not a danger to himself or others.

On 12/26/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a male attempting to gain entry to vehicles. The male left before police arrived, and was contacted at the Horseshoe. The male refused to stop for the police and ran. He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of an ID.

On 12/26/25, at approximately 8:16 p.m., Black Hawk officers were notified of a female party who was at the Ameristar Casino that had warrants for her arrest. Upon investigation, the female was taken into custody on several warrants as well as new charges to include motor vehicle theft.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 12:02 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming in contacting a gaming suspect. The suspect of the gaming crime was located, contacted, and released pending follow-up from the Division of Gaming.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 1:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119, unable to maintain the traffic lane. Upon contact, the driver did not have proof of insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 1:32 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a jacket theft. After the investigation, officers were unable to determine who the suspect was in this case. This case will be inactive.

On 12/27/25, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it was observed at the intersection of Richman and Highway 119, not driving through a green light, and failing to maintain their lane while turning left onto Highway 119. An elderly driver was contacted, who stated they were confused about how to get back onto the highway to go home. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino for a welfare check. Officers contacted the individual, and it was determined that they did not need assistance. No further action was taken.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 2:57 a.m., a sergeant was driving south on Main Street, approaching the intersection at Miners when a grey Subaru ran the red light and almost crashed into their patrol car. The sergeant initiated a traffic stop and the driver was given a citation for Careless Driving.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 3:01 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119, unable to maintain lanes. Upon contact the driver explained they were attempting to let vehicles pass. The driver issued a verbal warning.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 10:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street for a welfare check on an individual. Officers made contact with the individual, the party stated they were okay and refused medical attention.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible counterfeit bill at the Ameristar Casino. The counterfeit bill was taken as evidence.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 3:45 p.m., officers responded to found property at the Monarch Casino. The owner of the property was located and the property was returned without incident. There was no criminal activity.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 4:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of a lost purse located at the Monarch Casino. It is uncertain at this time whether the purse was stolen. A report has been taken.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 8:01 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a possible protection order violation. Upon investigation, officers discovered a possible stalking situation that occurred at the Monarch. The case will remain active and will be passed on to investigations for further review.

On 12/27/25, at approximately 8:51 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a disturbance outside the high limits area on the casino floor. Once on scene, all the individuals associated were already separated, and upon further investigation, it was determined to be a verbal argument. All parties were told to separate for the evening, and a report was completed.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 12:49 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Horseshoe Casino on a report of an unwanted guest. The male was involved in a physical disturbance with security, and, when officers arrived on scene, he refused to cooperate. The male resisted officers who deployed a Taser and the male was placed into custody. Medics were called and transported the male to the hospital who was cleared for jail.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 2:01 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a phone theft. Officers located the suspect, who had an active warrant. The suspect was placed into custody and taken to the Gilpin County Jail, where she was booked on the warrant. The suspect was also issued a summons for theft.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 5:03 a.m. a Black Hawk officer took a report from a Commerce City officer for a possible disturbance that happened on 12/26/25 at an unknown casino in Black Hawk.

On 12/28/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a cold-damaged property report at the Gilpin Casino. Gilpin had a machine that had damage that was reportedly from 12/19/25. Officers are still investigating, as no suspect information was given.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 5:31 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Lodge Casino parking garage for an intoxicated male who had been asked to leave and was still on the property. When the officers arrived, the male party was contacted and observed by the medics and then given a courtesy ride to a room at the Ameristar Casino hotel. The subject was not charged for trespassing.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 9:06 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlamps, occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 9:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 12/28/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a report of lost property and possible theft that occurred in the early hours of the day. Officers spoke to the victim to gather a timeline. Officers are conducting an investigation and will follow up with the victim when further information is available.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 10:40 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop at mile marker 6 on Highway 119, for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Main Street. The driver was contacted and stated that he was unaware of the speed limit. The vehicle was traveling 30 mph in a 15 mph zone. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/28/25, at approximately 10:44 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an assault. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 12/29/25, at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers responded to Lodge Casino for a call about damaged property. Officers reviewed surveillance and took a report for documentation only.

On 12/29/25, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male that forcibly kissed a female on the lips without consent. The female victim was contacted in her hotel room and provided a description of the events. The male suspect was located in the casino and after a review of surveillance video, the male suspect was issued a summons for harassment.

On 12/29/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 240 Main Street for a report of found drugs. The suspect was located on the casino floor and issued a summons. Officers cleared the scene.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 4:23 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a theft. A suspect was observed on surveillance footage, but was unable to be identified. A report was completed.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 9:35 a.m., a sergeant responded to the Hidden Treasure Trailhead on a report of vandalism. A report was taken and a CIRSA form was completed.

On 12/30/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a disturbance. Both parties went their separate ways, and it was determined that a crime had not occurred.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 9:27 a.m., officers responded to a call outside of Horseshoe Casino about missing property. After speaking with the reporting party and reviewing surveillance at the Monarch Casino, officers determined the reporting party's property was lost, not stolen. Officers took a report for documentation.

On 12/30/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries. Officers arrived and documented the scene as well as collected required documentation and statements. Both parties agreed to work it out through insurance and cleared the scene.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 10:56 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver said she thought the speed limit was 30 miles per hour; she was given a verbal warning that the speed limit is actually 15 miles per hour.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 11:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed occurring at the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 12/30/25, at approximately 11:37 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle make a lane change from the wrong designated lane at Miners Street to Main Street. The officer completed a traffic stop and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 12/31/25, Black Hawk police were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of a self-excluded person back on property. Officers made contact with the male party, who refused to identify himself. Officers detained the male and issued a summons.

On 12/31/25, an officer responded to the 500 block of Chase Gulch Road for reported graffiti. A report was taken.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 1:13 a.m., officers responded to a crash on Miners Road and Bobtail Road, between a city truck and a guard rail. There were no injuries. A report was taken.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious person at the Gregory Plaza restrooms located at 321 Gregory Street. An informational report was taken.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver was issued a Gilpin County penalty assessment.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 9:28 p.m., an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on southbound Highway 119 at Richman Street. The traffic stop occurred at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 9:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps as required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 9:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running two stop signs. The driver was issued a municipal penalty assessment.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino for a vehicle that hit a concrete wall on level 8 of the parking garage. Upon arrival, Black Hawk officers gathered the driver's information, and the wall had no damage. Photographs were taken.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage, on a suspicious male who had his shirt off while walking around the parking lot screaming. The male party was contacted and said he was looking for his vehicle. He was released to a sober party.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 10:16 p.m., an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving southbound on Highway 119 at a high rate of speed. The driver was stopped at mile marker 5.8 and given a verbal warning.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 10:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling eastbound on Main Street without its headlamps illuminated. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning after correcting an issue.

On 12/31/25, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Bally's North Casino regarding a bag of an unknown white powdery substance that was found on the casino floor. The unknown white powder substance was later collected and tested to be positive for a controlled substance. However, based on a surveillance review, no suspect was found. A report was taken.

On 12/31/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a motor vehicle accident that occurred inside the parking garage. Officers assisted in exchanging insurance information and cleared the scene.
