On 12/1/22, at approximately 11:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino parking garage on the report of damaged property (vehicle windshield). A male suspect has been identified.

On 12/1/22, an officer was doing an area check at the Monarch garage. While doing welfare on an occupied vehicle. One of the occupants of the vehicle had a warrant for a domestic violence case out of Larimer County. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail for booking.

On 12/1/22, at approximately 4:19 p.m., an employee of the Monarch Casino reported damage to their vehicle that possibly occurred on 11/25/22. The crime was determined to be unfounded.

On 12/1/22, at 7:21 p.m., officers took a report by phone of a possible harassment that occurred on 12/1/22 between 4:22 - 5:20 p.m. at the Monarch Casino.

On 12/2/22, officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street in Black Hawk in regards to an intoxicated party. The intoxicated party complained of chest pain and was transported to the hospital. A report was taken.

On 12/2/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance between a male and a female in the hotel lobby and shoving between the male and security officers. The male and female entered a vehicle and drove to the Horseshoe Casino before stopping for police. The investigation determined the disturbance was verbal between the male and female, and the security staff decided not to pursue charges.

On 12/2/22, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a hit-and-run crash. An officer responded and identified the suspect vehicle although it left the area. This case is still active.

On 12/2/22, officers responded to the 300 block of Main Street in Black Hawk regarding an intoxicated party. The intoxicated party was transported to Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge. A report was taken.

On 12/3/22, at 4:37 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a male who urinated in an elevator. The male was located and issued a citation.

On 12/3/22, at approximately 5:01 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino parking garage on the report of a damaged vehicle. Further investigation determined the damage occurred at the Ameristar Casino parking garage and not at the Monarch Casino parking garage. A suspect vehicle has been identified.

On 12/3/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino in regards to suspicious activity. Officers discovered that patrons of a party on the fifth floor possessed and used illegal controlled substances. Two summons were issued to the two different parties and released on the scene. A report was taken.

On 12/3/22, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a cell phone theft. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the male party who admitted to officers he took the phone. The phone was seized by officers and returned to its owner. The male party was issued a municipal summons for theft.

On 12/4/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a damaged slot machine. A suspect was identified but not contacted yet. The case is active.

On 12/4/22, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a theft of a vest containing other valuables that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino on 12/3/22. Surveillance from the casino was informed and a technician began working on reviewing video footage. A suspect has not been identified at this time. The case remains open for further investigation.

On 12/4/22, an officer responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident, in the 400 block of Main Street. A report was taken and a summons was issued.

On 12/4/22, at approximately 1:18 p.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Valet on a report of a vehicle accident. The driver who caused the accident was later arrested for DUI. The party was transported to the Gilpin County Jail who refused the party due to medical reasons. The party was later transported to a detox facility and released on a summons.

On 12/5/22, at approximately 8 a.m., officers with the Black Hawk Police Department were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill was deemed to be counterfeit and was confiscated and booked into evidence.

On 12/5/22, at approximately 6:43 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino, on a report of vehicle damage. The victim stated the damage happened at the Horseshoe Casino on 11/25/22. There is no camera coverage of the vehicle where it was parked.

On 12/5/22, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage on a report of parties attempting to enter a vehicle. Parties were contacted by security and stated they did not want the police called due to warrants. Officers arrived and found the registered owner was intoxicated. The intoxicated party was issued a trespass notice by Ameristar Casino management and the party set the notice on fire with his lighter. The intoxicated party was issued a municipal summons and taken to detox.

On 12/6/22, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 488 Main Street, on a missing person’s report.

On 12/6/22, an officer responded to the area of 1042 Dory Hill Road, for a property damage incident. A report was taken.

On 12/6/22, at approximately 3:41 p.m., BHPD dispatch received a medical call for an individual at the Monarch Casino. The patient was transported to St. Anthony’s hospital by helicopter.

On 12/6/22, at approximately 11:48 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of a cold theft that occurred in the 400 block of Main Street. An investigation is currently pending.

On 12/7/22, at approximately 3:03 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding fraudulent credit card activity. A female suspect has been identified.

On 12/8/22, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Black Hawk officers were informed by Horseshoe Casino staff about a possible fraud that occurred at the Lady Luck Casino. Officers gathered the information that the Horseshoe staff had and viewed surveillance footage. This case is still being investigated.

On 12/9/22, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers were unable to identify any suspects in this case. The drugs were booked in for destruction.

On 12/9/22, a party contacted the Black Hawk Police Department to report damage to his vehicle that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. The incident was investigated, but the suspect could not be identified.

On 12/10/22, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of Main Street. The vehicle had no lights, and officers contacted the driver who had a warrant. Officers arrested the driver and he was booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/11/22, an officer responded to the Bally’s North Casino, for a welfare check. The party was found to have an active warrant and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/13/22, at approximately 4:10 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop involving a minivan with fictitious plates on the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons for multiple traffic charges and the vehicle was impounded. A report was completed.

On 12/13/22, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an officer took a phone report of a purse stolen from a vehicle at the Monarch Casino. There is no suspect at this time.

On 12/13/22, at approximately 8:40 p.m., an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of found drugs. Prior to their arrival, surveillance was able to identify a suspect. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

On 12/13/22, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 488 Main Street on the report of damaged property that occurred in the parking garage. Investigation is currently pending.

On 12/13/22, officers responded to the report of two intoxicated parties refusing to leave the Monarch Casino. The parties were being escorted when the female party shoved an officer. The male party left with a sober party and the female was issued a summons and transported to detox.

On 12/14/22, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers arrived on scene and were informed by Lodge security that they had no suspect info or saw who dropped the drugs. Officers seized the drugs and have booked it into evidence for destruction.

On 12/15/22, officers responded to the Z Casino in regards to a party who had been trespassed. A summons was issued to the party who had been trespassed and was escorted off the property. A report was taken.

On 12/15/22, at approximately 5:20 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party smoking from a pipe inside his car. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted the suspect. The suspect was issued a summons for narcotics possession and was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a felony warrant.

On 12/15/22, an officer completed a report of damaged property to the Carriage House. A suspect was identified.

On 12/15/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave. The male was placed in handcuffs and escorted off the gaming floor. When the male calmed down, he was released to a sober party.

On 12/15/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a physical disturbance in the parking lot. A female party was arrested for 3rd-degree assault (DV), obstructing the police, and multiple warrants.

On 12/16/22, at approximately 4:46 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and booked as evidence.

On 12/16/22, at approximately 11:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party doing whip-its in the hotel lobby. A male was contacted and issued a summons.

On 12/16/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a group at the twenty-four-seven restaurant not paying for their meal. The case is active and pending further investigation.

On 12/17/22, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino on a report of a theft. Officers have suspect descriptions and are still investigating.

On 12/17/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave. During contact with the male, officers determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The male was transported by officers to Lutheran Hospital for an evaluation.

On 12/18/22, at approximately 2:39 a.m., Black Hawk officers assisted Colorado State Patrol at the Monarch Casino. State Patrol made an arrest after the suspect was apprehended by officers and troopers.

On 12/18/22, an officer conducted a traffic stop. The driver was contacted and asked to do voluntary roadside maneuvers. The driver started to perform voluntary roadside maneuvers and revoked his consent. The driver was advised of his Colorado Express Consent and refused all testing. The driver was transported to the police department and issued a summons. The driver was given a courtesy ride to his wife.

On 12/19/22, at approximately 12:24 a.m., Black Hawk Police Department responded to a traffic assist with Colorado State Patrol. The call turned into a pursuit on Highway 119 and resulted in the arrest of a male party.

On 12/19/22, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of an unattended jacket being stolen. Surveillance observed a female suspect take the jacket and leave property. The female suspect was not identified and appears to have left in an unknown vehicle.

On 12/19/22, an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a lost or possibly stolen inhaler. The reporting party was an employee at one of the casinos. Surveillance was contacted and after reviewing video footage, they found that the supervisor on shift had taken the inhaler for safekeeping.

On 12/20/22, at approximately 3:05 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a stolen cell phone. An investigation is currently pending.

On 12/20/22, at approximately 4:23 a.m., an officer responded to 7320 Black Hawk Boulevard to assist the Black Hawk Fire Department with a gasoline smell. A five-gallon can of gas was located right inside the store door and was removed.

On 12/20/22, at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 111 Richman on the report of a trespassed party on the property. The suspect was located, cited, and booked into Gilpin County Jail for outstanding warrants.

On 12/21/22, an officer responded to Highway 119, mile marker 6, to assist the Black Hawk Fire Department with a fire inside of a storm drain ignited by a homeless person. The fire was put out and no suspect was found.

On 12/22/22, officers responded to Bally’s North in regards to damaged property. The suspect was located at the Ameristar Casino and placed into custody due to the amount of damage done to the machine. A report was taken and the suspect was released pending charges.

On 12/22/22, at approximately 4:07 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a dine and dash. Officers contacted the suspects and restitution were paid. Due to other factors of the payment the case is still active at this time.

On 12/22/22, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on an unwanted party. Upon arrival, two male parties were advised to stop communicating with each other and one was trespassed from the property.

On 12/22/22, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of damaged private property.

On 12/22/22, at approximately 5:08 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A counterfeit $20 bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 12/23/22, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a welfare check on a male party in the hotel lobby. Officers spoke to the male party and determined that the party qualified for a M1 hold. Officers attempted to contact friends and family but were unsuccessful. The male party was put on a M1 hold and Gilpin ambulance transported him.

On 12/23/22, an officer responded to Highway 119, mile marker 8, to the report of a vehicle accident.

On 12/23/22, at approximately 3:19 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. A $20 counterfeit bill was seized and booked into evidence.

On 12/23/22, officers responded to the report of a physical disturbance between a male and female outside the Ameristar Casino. The male and female were contacted, and an investigation determined the disturbance was verbal only. Parties were released without charges.

On 12/23/22, officers were walking through the Horseshoe Casino when they noticed an individual they have dealt with a couple of times in the past walking through the same casino. Officers then ran the suspect through dispatch and learned that they had a felony warrant out for their arrest. Officers contacted the suspect identified to them and arrested them for the warrant. While officers were searching through the suspect’s property they discovered that the suspect was in possession of a Colorado State ID that was not the suspect’s. A new charge was added to the arrest. A summons was issued for the new charge and the suspect was jailed on the warrant.

On 12/24/22, at approximately 12:37 a.m., Black Hawk officers located an occupied stolen vehicle at the Ameristar parking garage. One male was booked into Gilpin County Jail on related charges.

On 12/24/22, at approximately 3:24 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a female party in possession of a fake ID. Officers arrived on scene and began to look at the ID. Casino staff informed officers that one of the female parties admitted that the ID she had was fake. Officers determined that the other IDs were real. Two of the females were juveniles, the juveniles were taken to the PD to contact a family member or guardian. Contact was made and the juveniles were given over to a family member.

On 12/24/22, officers recovered a stolen license plate on a vehicle parked in the Dakota parking lot located at 245 Main Street.

On 12/25/22, at approximately 12:44 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino as an assist to the Arvada Police Department. One male was taken into custody and handed off to the Arvada Police Department.

On 12/25/22, an officer responded to the 900 block of Miners Road, for a property damage accident. A report taken.

On 12/25/22, at 2:40 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Richman Street and Main Street on a report of a street sign that fell to the ground. The sign that fell said Richman Street on it and it was on the west side of the intersection. A report was completed.

On 12/25/22, at approximately 7:01 p.m., officers responded to 101 Gregory Street on a report of a lost wallet. Surveillance was unable to determine where the wallet was lost.

On 12/25/22, BHPD officers were dispatched to the Ameristar to check the welfare of a female who had fallen while intoxicated and had hit her head on a wooden bench. EMS evaluated her and transported her for further medical evaluation.

On 12/25/22, at approximately 9:41 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a lost wallet. The wallet had been turned in right away and was behind the bar. It was returned to the owner with nothing missing.

On 12/25/22, at approximately 11:38 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to Bally’s West on a sexual assault call. Upon investigation, the allegations were deemed unfounded, and the male suspect was trespassed from the property.

On 12/26/22, officers responded to the report of a trespassed party on property at the Ameristar Casino. Staff provided a permanent trespass notice that had been served to the patron in 2018. The patron was served a summons for trespassing and escorted off property.

On 12/26/22, officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lodge Casino on a welfare check. The involved party was safe and was waiting for her ride to leave Black Hawk.

On 12/26/2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a stolen coat. The suspects were seen on surveillance taking the coat and then leaving the property. The suspects were not identified and a report was taken.

On 12/26/2022, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on the report of a disturbance. Two parties were taken into custody and then later released. A report was completed.

On 12/26/22, at approximately 6:26 p.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino, on a report of a stolen cell phone wallet. There is an ongoing investigation to try and identify the suspect.

On 12/26/22, officers responded to the Monarch Casino hotel on a report of a disturbance in the hotel room. Officers conducted an investigation and found nothing criminal occurred between the male and female. One party was taken into custody and transported to jail on warrants. The registered guest had damaged property in the room and agreed to pay the Monarch Casino for the damages.

On 12/26/22, at approximately 9:45 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a party receiving harassing text messages. A report was filed and a statement from the victim was taken.

On 12/26/22, officers responded to assist medical personnel with a female party having a panic attack at the Horseshoe Casino. After speaking with the female, officers discovered that the female was involved in suspicious activity in a hotel room. No criminal activity has been confirmed at this time.

On 12/27/22, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Black Hawk Police department was dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespassed party being on the property. The male party was contacted and issued a summons for criminal trespass and then escorted off of the property.

On 12/27/22, at approximately 6:04 p.m., an officer took a phone report at the Black Hawk Police Department for possible harassment. Officers are still investigating the incident.

On 12/28/22, at approximately 3:04 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report for a lost wallet from the Monarch Casino.

On 12/28/22, an officer responded to the Monarch garage on the report of a hit-and-run accident. A suspect was identified and is pending charges.

On 12/28/22, the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to southbound Highway 119 on a male suspect with warrants. Officers found the male suspect walking down Highway 119, mile marker 5.8, and arrested him with the warrants.

On 12/28/22, at approximately 11:27 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot on a report of a traffic accident. While en route officers were informed by dispatch that the driver of the at-fault vehicle appeared to be intoxicated. Officers arrived on scene and began to investigate the accident. The driver of the at-fault was observed to be intoxicated and was transported to the PD for DUI processing. Officers kept his keys and the driver was dropped off at a casino to sober up.

On 12/29/22, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a lost cell phone. The phone was later found and returned to the owner.

On 12/30/22, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a medical emergency. A deceased female was located on the property. The case remains open, and no foul play is suspected.

On 12/29/22, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regard to an assault and harassment. Officers investigated the incident and learned that a crime was not committed in the City of Black Hawk but in Golden, Colorado. Officers on the scene were able to get in touch with an officer down at the Golden Police Department and connect them with the victim. A report was taken.

On 12/30/22, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a report of a male party verbally threatening another. Officers advised both parties to stay away from each other and avoid contact.

On 12/30/22, at approximately 2:09 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a trespassed male party. Officer contacted the male party and Lady Luck staff provided the trespass paperwork with the male party’s signature. The male party was issued a summons and left the property.

On 12/30/22, at approximately 11:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Dostal Alley in Central City on a report of a theft that occurred at Crook’s Palace. Officers spoke to the victim and took a report. There is no suspect information at this time.

On 12/31/22, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Hotel on a report of a female party on the property who was trespassed. Officers issued a summons and escorted the female off the property.

On 12/31/22, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in regard to a harassment incident. A patron of the Monarch Casino reported that another patron had threatened them while at a Black Jack table. Officers were able to contact the victim on the casino floor, however, the suspect was not on the scene. Officers attempted contact with the suspect at their supposed hotel room. Officers were unable to contact the suspect, future attempts will be made. A report was taken.

On 12/31/22, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers were notified by a witness of a physical disturbance between a male and female party at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage. Both parties were contacted and a male party was taken into custody.

On 12/31/22, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a physical disturbance between a male and female. After an investigation, the female was arrested for harassment (DV).

On 12/31/22, officers responded to Bally’s North in regards to a harassment incident. The incident took place at the Ameristar Casino, but the suspect left the Ameristar and was contacted at Bally’s North. A summons was issued and a report was taken.
