On 8/1/24, at approximately 2:33 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights and display of an expired temporary registration occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/1/24, at approximately 2:42 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no front license plate and an illegible rear license plate occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a citation and a report was completed.

On 8/1/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding lost property. A report was taken. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 4:46 a.m., officers responded to the lobby of the Monarch Hotel on a report of a suicidal individual. Medics transported the individual and a report was completed. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 7:15 a.m., an officer did a cell phone extraction and analysis for the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 11:32 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel regarding a firearm found in a hotel room. The firearm was collected and transported to the Black Hawk Police Department where it was booked in for safekeeping. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Gazebo on Main Street and Gregory Street on the report of a party who wanted their brother put in jail. Upon arrival and investigations, officers determined that nothing criminal occurred. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 9:32 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of fictitious plates occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. It was determined that the displayed license plates matched the vehicle registration and the driver was released without being identified. A field interview report was completed. 

On 8/1/24, at approximately 11:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plates displayed occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and issued a summons for traffic infractions. A report was completed. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 4:10 a.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of trespassing. A subject was issued a summons and a report was completed. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 7:25 p.m., an officer called in a welfare check on a woman that was sleeping in her car. The woman was given her second verbal warning not to sleep on private property. No further action was taken. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 8:18 a.m., Colorado State Patrol had a traffic stop in the Monarch Casino parking garage and requested assistance. A male party was taken into custody on warrant. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 9:55 a.m., officers called in a welfare check on two individuals that appeared to be sleeping in their vehicle. The driver told officers they were waiting for a tow. They were informed not to sleep in their vehicle on private property and given a warning. No further action was taken.

On 8/2/24, at approximately 11:06 a.m., an officer with the Black Hawk Police Department did a welfare check on the third level of the Lady Luck garage. The individual just needed help getting his wheelchair in the car.



On 8/2/24, at approximately 4:57 p.m., officers responded to mile marker 7.5 on Highway 119 on the report of a single motorcycle crash. The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital and a report was taken. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 9:21 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate displayed on Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 10:08 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of harassment. Suspects were identified and a report was completed. 

On 8/2/24, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a report of a possible assault. Officers contacted the two involved parties and determined no crime occurred and that there was just a slot machine dispute. The officers took a report. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 12:14 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party who sold him a fake chain. After investigations, officers determined that it was a Civil Agreement to purchase the chain. Officers later attempted to locate the suspect for an ordinance violation but were unable to locate them to advise them. Officers were able to identify the suspect and they have left the Ameristar since. 

On 8/3/24, an officer called out a welfare check on a male sleeping in his vehicle. The individual said he was napping before making the drive home. He was told he could not sleep in his vehicle on private property.

On 8/3/24, at approximately 10:03 a.m., an officer was doing a routine patrol of the casino garage when they noticed a female sleeping in her vehicle. The officer called out on a welfare check and spoke with the woman. The individual was fine and only sleeping. The officer told her she is unable to sleep in her car on private property. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 1 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at a red light on Main Street and Richman Street. Vehicle proceeded westbound and failed to use a turn signal when turning right on Gregory Street. The driver was issued a citation for no proof of insurance. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 5:16 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Main Street on the report of a physical disturbance. Two male parties were contacted and the other involved parties departed the area prior to officers arrival. A male party was taken into custody on unrelated warrants and released due to a jail refusal. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a male party turned in property that was found on the creek path behind 110 Main Street. The property has been booked into evidence for safekeeping. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 10:55 p.m., an officer responded to Highway 119 and Douglas Mountain Drive to assist the Colorado State Patrol on a DUI and warrant investigation. A suspect was taken into custody and the passenger was provided a courtesy ride to Black Hawk. A report was completed. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Hotel on a report of a theft. Officers spoke to a female party member who stated that her wedding ring had been stolen. Officers took information but have been unable to locate a suspect at this point. A report was taken. 

On 8/3/24, at approximately 11:52 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespassed male party playing blackjack. Officers arrived on scene and issued the male party a municipal summons and escorted him off property. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 12:03 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed. 

On 8/4/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft of money. The male who took the money was located and issued a municipal summons for theft. He returned the money. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 3:07 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of human trafficking. The reporting party expressed concerns about an individual who was eventually located and checked okay. A report was completed. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim and learned that his belongings were taken from the team member locker room. Surveillance is back tracking and a report has been taken. 

On 8/4/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino on suspicious activity. It was determined that no crime was committed. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 5:24 p.m., officers responded to 111 Richman Street on a report of a stolen credit card used for an online purchase. Officers were unable to determine when and where the card was taken from. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers observed a female jaywalking at Miners Street and Main Street. The female was trying to cross when traffic had a green light and was approaching the intersection. An officer contacted the female for pedestrian contact, verified her information and gave her a verbal warning. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 9:59 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/4/24, at approximately 10:57 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/5/24, at approximately 1:39 a.m., officers contacted a subject in regards to an arrest warrant at the Dakota Lot. The subject was advised of his warrant and released after the jail refused to accept custody. A field interview report was completed. 

On 8/5/24, officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino parking garage regarding break-ins to vehicles. A report was taken. 

On 8/5/24, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a phone theft. The victim later advised he had found his phone. 

On 8/5/24, an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino for a disturbance issue. A report was taken. 

On 8/5/24, at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers dispatched to Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street on a report of two males holding down another male on the fourth level parking garage lobby. While on route, dispatch advised that the two males holding down the other male were off duty police officers. Upon arrival, officers learned that the male suspect put his hand in his pocket and pointed his finger towards the two males simulating a weapon and stated give me your wallets. 

On 8/5/24, officers were conducting a pre-check of a patrol vehicle when they noticed minor damage to the rear left side of the vehicle. A report was taken. 

On 8/6/24, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage on a report of an in progress vehicle break-in. Two males matching the description were contacted. One male party was unaffiliated and one male party was gaining access to his own vehicle. 

On 8/6/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft. However, as the investigation continued, it turned out the phone was turned into Monarch Staff. 

On 8/6/24, an officer received information related to a possible sexual assault that might have occurred in the city during 2022. A report was made to the Arvada Police Department when another incident was discussed. This case is under investigation. 

On 8/6/24, at approximately 9:10 p.m., an officer was on a walk at the Monarch Casino when they heard a party arguing and yelling at the Black Jack dealer. The party was contacted and was intoxicated. The party  kept refusing to leave and kept causing a disturbance. Upon a clearance through NCIC/CCIC, the party had a protection order prohibiting them from consuming alcoholic beverages. They were placed into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 8/6/24, officers were dispatched to Bally's West Casino regarding a theft. A report was taken. 

On 8/7/24, at approximately 1:07 p.m., officers observed a group of people arguing with security outside the Monarch Casino. Officers contacted the male parties involved in a previous altercation and one was arrested on a warrant. 

On 8/7/24, officers responded to a disturbance at the Monarch Casino. Upon further investigations, officers learned one of the parties involved had a warrant out for their arrest and drugs were found on them during a search. An arrest was made.

On 8/7/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a cash theft that occurred in the Lady Luck parking lot. The case remains active for further investigation. 

On 8/7/24, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a physical disturbance. A suspect was issued a municipal summons for assault.

On 8/7/24, a woman called the Black Hawk Police Department to report suspected vandalism to her vehicle that occurred 8/2/24 at the Saratoga Casino.

On 8/7/24, at approximately 5:17 p.m., officers responded to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office with the report of shots fired at a party who was unconscious and not breathing in Central City.

On 8/7/24, officers took a phone report regarding a theft that occurred at the Monarch Casino. 

On 8/7/24, at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an unreadable license plate occurring at the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was given a warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/7/24, at approximately 10:38 p.m., officers observed a vehicle bearing a fictitious license plate at Highway 119 and Miners Street. The driver was issued a citation and the plate was seized. 

On 8/8/24, at approximately 12:51 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights and failure to maintain lane occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/8/24, at approximately 3:19 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft of cash that occurred earlier in the night. Investigations reached out to the registered owner of the vehicle the two female suspects were seen entering. The money was returned by the suspects at about 10:30 a.m. to the police department. The victim was able to collect their money before leaving town. 

On 8/8/24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Monarch Casino security found a baggie with a white substance in it on the smoking patio. The substance was tested and the result was methamphetamine. Since there was no suspect, the substance was collected for destruction. 

On 8/8/24, at approximately 8:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a luggage theft. Officers later identified a suspect, issued them a citation and returned the stolen luggage back to the owner. 

On 8/8/24, a theft of 100 dollars occurred on the gaming floor of the Lady Luck Casino. A suspect was identified. 

On 8/8/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft of a wallet. The wallet was recovered from a male party and the victim decided not to press charges. A report was completed. 

On 8/8/24, at approximately 11:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an illegible plate occurring at Richman Street and Dory Hill Road. The driver was given a warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/9/24, at approximately 12:11 a.m., officers responded to the parking garage of the Ameristar Casino on a report of public urination. The casino declined to press charges and the suspect was removed from the property and given a courtesy ride to a hotel room. A report was completed. 

On 8/9/24, an officer contacted a male party sleeping in his vehicle in the underground parking structure of the Saratoga Casino. The suspect was seated in the front passenger's seat with no other occupants. He was warned about sleeping on private property and he proceeded into the casino. 

On 8/9/24, at approximately 7:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a vehicle that crashed into the casino. Officers issued the driver a citation and cleared the building and road from debris. 

On 8/9/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a physical disturbance and a juvenile left in a hotel room. Two females were contacted and identified as sisters and decided not to press charges against each other. No children witnessed the physical disturbance and a report was taken. 

On 8/10/24, at approximately 12:08 a.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a lost phone. The officer was later able to locate the phone and returned it to the owner. The phone was turned in at the Cash Cage. 

On 8/10/24, at approximately 12:52 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an unreadable temporary registration occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/10/24, officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle with no headlights. The vehicle had the wrong plate on it but was registered to the same owner. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 8/10/24, officers were conducting a residential check on Chase Street and observed a vehicle parked in a permit-required area. A male was contacted and given a verbal warning for parking where prohibited and camping.

On 8/10/24, at approximately 11:35 a.m., an officer was performing a self initiated welfare check on three male parties in a vehicle with both rear doors open in the Dakota Lot. All three parties were in a deep sleep. When I cleared the driver, he had a warrant out of another jurisdiction. While searching the male who had the warrant to take him to jail, I found a baggie with 0.8 grams of meth inside. A summons was issued for the controlled substance and the party was booked into Gilpin Jail for the warrant.

On 8/10/24, officers responded to the report of a hit and run at the Ameristar garage located at 111 Richman Street. A suspect was identified.

On 8/10/24, at approximately 7:12 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found drugs. A white powdery substance was seized and transported to the Black Hawk Police Department, where it was booked in for destruction.

On 8/10/24, at approximately 8:58 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic signal violation and improper turn occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/10/24, at approximately 9:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of lost property. A report was taken.

On 8/11/24, at approximately 11:46 p.m., an intoxicated guest urinated on the Ameristar property located at 111 Richman Street. The party was cited.

On 8/11/24, at approximately 12:27 a.m., officers responded to the hotel of the Lodge Casino on a medical call. An investigation to ensure nothing criminal occurred is ongoing and a report was completed.

On 8/11/24, officers responded to Ameristar Casino on a lost property call for a cell phone. A report was taken.

On 8/11/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a report of property being stolen from a hotel room. A report was taken, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 8/11/24, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance outside the Monarch Casino Valet parking at 488 Main Street. One of the parties was jailed on new domestic violence related charges.

On 8/11/22, at approximately 11:08 p.m., officers were dispatched for a dine and dash theft report. Officers arrived on scene and were unable to locate the suspect.

On 8/12/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a wallet theft from a hotel room. No suspect was identified.

On 8/12/24, officers responded to the Lodge Casino to provide cover for the Division of Gaming.

On 8/12/24, at approximately 5:42 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The individual claimed that they were injured by a cash cart. A surveillance review refuted that claim and the male eventually declined the medical transport.

On 8/12/24, officers were dispatched to The Lodge north garage regarding a male party causing a disturbance. The male ran from officers, who initiated a foot pursuit. A taser was deployed on the male before he was taken into custody. The male was ultimately transported to the hospital. No charges were filed and a report was taken.

On 8/12/24, officers were dispatched for a fraud report. Officers arrived on scene and were advised that a male was playing at a Blackjack table and passed two fake hundred dollar bills. The casino gave the male $200 in chips. The bills were clearly marked that they were for entertainment purposes.

On 8/12/24, officers responded to the Bull Durham in reference to a possible fraudulent ID. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the female. She left and did not take her ID card with her. Officers were unable to determine if the ID was fraudulent as it was from a different country.

On 8/12/24, at approximately 7:45 p.m., an officer responded to a citizen assist at Bally's garage. The citizen locked his keys in the car and with the help of the officer was able to gain access. 

On 8/13/24, at approximately 6:27 p.m., officers responded to 100 Richman Street for a welfare check on a male party. The male party was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

On 8/13/24, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a found gun. Officers discovered that it was a BB gun. It was logged in as found property. 

On 8/13/24, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were at Ameristar when they were notified of a subject on property who had been previously trespassed. The subject was contacted and issued a county summons for trespass.

On 8/14/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a welfare check. A report was taken.

On 8/14/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling westbound on Main Street from Richman Street with obstructed views of what appeared to be an expired license plate with a 2022 sticker. The driver was able to show a valid registration, driver's license, and insurance resulting in a verbal warning.

On 8/14/24, a party called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that his wallet had been lost while he was at the Monarch Casino and that someone had used one of his credit cards without his authorization. A report was taken. A suspect has not been identified.

On 8/14/24, at approximately 8:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino hotel for a physical altercation in a hotel room. A suspect was arrested.

On 8/15/24, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a welfare check. A party was contacted and identified.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving the wrong way down the 200 block of Selak Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 2:28 a.m., officers with Black Hawk Police Department responded to a welfare check at Ameristar Casino. There was a report of an intoxicated male sleeping in the lobby. The male was contacted and was able to care for himself, purchasing a ride with UBER to get home.

On 8/15/24, The Black Hawk Police Department was notified of a missing elderly female that had left the Assisted Living Facility and did not return. The female was located at the Gilpin Casino safe and in good health. She was returned safely to the facility.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 2:33 p.m., a report of a disturbance outside of a hotel room at the Monarch Casino occurred. After speaking with both parties involved and reviewing surveillance footage, it was determined that no physical harm occurred. Parties were given a warning for the disturbance.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 4:17 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of Lost Money. After investigations, the officer located the money and cleared the call.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 5:13 p.m, officers observed a vehicle with no plates at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119. The driver had her plate inside her car as she did not want it stolen. All information was good and the driver was released with a warning.

On 8/15/23, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers observed a vehicle bearing a temporary plate that expired 12/23 at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was cited.

On 8/15/24, at approximately 9:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary permit occurring at Main Street and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 8/15/24, officers responded to a 911 investigation at the Horseshoe Hotel. After investigation, a party was located and transported by medics.

On 8/16/24, officers were contacted by Northglenn Police Department regarding a male possibly in Black Hawk who had two felony domestic violence warrants. The male was located at the Ameristar Casino and arrested. The male had controlled substances on him and was charged with unlawful possession and violation of protection orders. He was transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 8/16/24, at approximately 8:30 a.m., an unattended purse was found by staff at the Horseshoe Casino. Casino security went through the purse to find identifying document(s) and discovered a fair quantity of blue pills they suspected to be an illegal substance. Substance was seized and will be tested. A female suspect was identified and spoken with. A felony summons was requested through the district attorney's office.

On 8/16/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an unresponsive party in a hotel room. The party was found deceased with a self inflicted gunshot wound. The case is active. 

On 8/16/24, at approximately 5:38 p.m., officers received a call from Frisco Police in reference to a crime that may have occurred on 8/15/24 at the Lodge Casino. 

On 8/16/24, at approximately 7:28 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a crash. After investigations, the officer did not observe any vehicle damage and neither party requested a report.

On 8/16/24, at approximately 11:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 10:59 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for failing to signal upon lane change at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 12:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display registration stickers occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 1:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary permit occurring on the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and proof of service after his license was returned as revoked. A report was completed.

On 8/17/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of theft of food. While en route, the male and female left in a vehicle. The vehicle was contacted at Z Casino parking lot. The male was arrested for theft, obstruction, false information, careless driving, and two warrants. The female was arrested on two warrants.

On 8/17/24, an officer was dispatched to the Black Hawk Fire Department on a citizen's assist. The officer provided a courtesy ride to an adult male who had no means of transportation to the Base Camp Convenience Store in Gilpin County.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 10:16 a.m., a report of a smartwatch that was possibly stolen at the Ameristar Casino was made. After investigating the incident, the person who took/found the watch gave it to a housekeeping person. The house keeper kept it until she was done with her duties. No crime committed and lost property was returned to the owner.

On 8/17/24, at approximately 11:17 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a theft of property. No suspects have been identified. 

On 8/17/24, at approximately 4:43 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. The officer was able to locate and identify a suspect and issued him a citation. 

On 8/17/24, at approximately 6:18 p.m., officers took a report for a lost cell phone that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino. 

On 8/17/24, at approximately 8:24 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle impeding traffic in the 6300 block of Highway 119. Upon stopping, the driver was revoked. The driver was cited. 

On 8/17/24, at approximately 9:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a female party throwing food at a restaurant manager. Officers arrived, spoke to the involved parties and reviewed surveillance. Officers issued the female party a municipal summons. 

On 8/17/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave the property. The male had been contacted earlier in the evening and advised to stay off Ameristar property. The male was issued a municipal summons for trespassing and advised again to stay off the property. 

On 8/18/24, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no headlights on and two broken brake lights at Main Street and Miners. The driver was given a warning. 

On 8/18/24, at approximately 11:09 p.m., officers observed a male party attempting to gain access to a vehicle with a pry bar. The vehicle was determined to be reported stolen. The vehicle was recovered and the party using the pry bar was identified. 

On 8/18/24, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the JKQ Barbecue parking lot on a report of a 6 to 7 year old kid in a car. Officers arrived on the scene and contacted the vehicle and observed the kid, who appeared to be ok. An 18 year old was in the vehicle sleeping. They were contacted and told to call their parents. The parents returned and information was gathered.

On 8/18/24, at approximately 12:14 p.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a stolen wallet. After investigations, the officer was unable to locate the wallet's whereabouts, identify a suspect, or prove a theft had occurred. A report was taken. 

On 8/18/24, Black Hawk Police Department officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot to investigate an unwanted party. The party was given a bus pass and escorted from the property to the bus stop. 

On 8/18/24, at approximately 11:18 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with a fictitious temporary tag. The vehicle was stopped, the fictitious tag was removed, and the driver was released on a verbal warning. 

On 8/18/24, at approximately 11:32 p.m., officers observed a vehicle exiting the Monarch Casino garage with no license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 8/19/24, at approximately 12:44 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving with their high beams on and failing to dim for oncoming traffic in the 200 block of Gregory Street. Upon stop, the driver was revoked HTO. The driver was cited. 

On 8/19/24, at approximately 1:11 a.m., officers located a vehicle that was reported via a REDDI Report. The driver was stopped and no signs of intoxication were observed. The vehicle was let go. 

On 8/19/24, at approximately 5:32 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a female who suspected her wrist to be broken from domestic violence. Paramedics were dispatched and a suspect was arrested. The female was transported for further evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.

On 8/19/24, at approximately 3:33 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no rear license plate displayed on the 300 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a citation and a report was completed.

On 8/19/24, at approximately 4:32 p.m., an officer took a report of theft occurring the previous night over the phone. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

On 8/19/24, at approximately 7:03 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on an assist to the Colorado Division of Gaming. A suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants and booked by the Colorado Department of Gaming. A report was completed.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 12:52 a.m., the Division of Gaming requested Black Hawk Police Department Officers to assist in determining jurisdiction regarding slot machine damage from March of 2024. The suspect was on the property, given a summons, and advised not to return until restitution has been paid.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 2:43 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 that was failing to maintain its lane. The vehicle was stopped and a licensed passenger was asked to drive. They were given a verbal warning.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 5:02 a.m., officers took a phone report of a domestic violence incident that occurred at Ameristar Casino on Saturday, August 17, 2024, between a male and female. The female victim reported that the male strangled her during the incident which caused injuries. An arrest warrant was sought and issued. The male suspect was arrested on the warrant on August 23, 2024.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 12:28 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota Lot on a report of a disturbance. Parties were identified and nothing criminal was determined to have occurred. A report was completed.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 1:45 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unreadable license plate occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/20/24, at approximately 3:42 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of a disturbance. A suspect was arrested on domestic violence charges and booked into jail after being medically cleared. A report was completed.

On 8/20/24, an officer was assigned a cold hit and run case that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. A suspect was identified by Ameristar surveillance and will be contacted.

On 8/21/24, an adult male was contacted after his friend had dropped him off at the casino and the male party could not locate the friend's vehicle. The vehicle was located.

On 8/21/24, at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found narcotics. The narcotics were seized and a suspect was identified.

On 8/21/24, at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of a stolen license plate occurring on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a summons, the stolen plate was seized and a report was completed.

On 8/21/24, officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding an arson incident. An arrest was made and a report was taken. The arrestee was released with pending charges.

On 8/21/24, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to Bally's North on a report of an unwanted party. The male party was contacted and issued a summons for harassment.

On 8/21/24, at approximately 11 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespass. After investigations, officers did not have enough to charge trespass and advised the party of the trespass.

On 8/22/24, at approximately 12:14 a.m., officers observed two vehicles driving carelessly from Miner Road and Main Street. After observation, a driver of one car was contacted and arrested for DUI.

On 8/22/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle run the stop sign exiting the Ameristar parking garage onto southbound Richman Street. A warning was given.

On 8/22/24, at approximately 11:24 a.m., Monarch Casino received a strange message via their online contact portal. There were no specific threats, but a police report was filed in case the communications escalated and continued.

On 8/22/24, at approximately 8:17 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino located at 111 Richman Street on the report of a theft. A suspect was located and cited.

On 8/22/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of theft of a laptop bag. After investigation, it was determined no crime occurred, and the laptop bag was taken into the hotel room by the owner and not seen on surveillance coming out.

On 8/23/24, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a theft. Officers spoke to both the victim and suspect. The victim's wallet was located and returned. The victim did not want to press charges.

On 8/23/24, at approximately 8:50 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino overflow parking lot for an individual possibly doing drugs inside a vehicle. The party was contacted and was not doing anything illegal in her vehicle.

On 8/23/24, a male party reported that someone had entered his vehicle and stolen several power tools while it was parked in the Dakota Lot. A suspect has not been identified. A report was taken.

On 8/23/24, at approximately 10:38 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Wild Card Casino on the report of a stolen jackpot. The suspect returned the money to the victim and officers took a report.

On 8/23/24, officers responded to a disturbance in a hotel room at the Monarch Casino. After an investigation it was determined no criminal act occurred and parties agreed to separate for the night.

On 8/23/24, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in a hotel room at the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street. A suspect was arrested. While in custody, the suspect assaulted a peace officer, resisted arrest, and obstructed the investigation.

On 8/23/24, at approximately 11:29 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer took a phone call report of a party who had warrants. The officer took a report for information.

On 8/24/24, at approximately 2:06 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. Officers spoke to the victim, who said he had an envelope with cash that he dropped, which was then picked up by the suspect. Officers spoke to the suspect who returned the envelope with all of the cash in it.

On 8/24/24, at approximately 4:47 a.m., an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a fraudulent ID and check. The officer took a report and investigations are on-going.

On 8/24/24, an adult female was contacted by Horseshoe Casino staff and found to have been previously issued a trespass notice. The female and her male companion were contacted by the Black Hawk Police Department. The female explained that she had been issued the trespass under the Isle Casino ownership and she falsely assumed the trespass was no longer valid. She and her companion were advised they were still not allowed on Caesars' properties and left without further incident.

On 8/24/24, at approximately 9:17 p.m., a wallet theft at the Horseshoe Casino was reported. A male suspect was seen on surveillance taking the wallet that was dropped at a gaming machine. The suspect has not been identified yet and charges are pending.

On 8/25/24, at approximately 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a theft at the Ameristar Casino. The suspect was contacted, issued a summons and escorted off property. The victim's wallet was located and returned.

On 8/25/24, an officer observed a vehicle without license plates traveling on Main Street from Richman Street. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was released on a summons.

On 8/25/24, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a possible assault. Both involved parties were contacted. One male was issued a Municipal summons for harassment.

On 8/25/24, at approximately 5:50 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a citation and a report was completed.

On 8/25/24, at approximately 5:04 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage for a REDDI report. Officers made contact and SFSTs were done. The driver provided a chemical sample and an arrest was made. The driver was released to a sober party with a summons. A report was completed.

On 8/25/24, at approximately 10:12 p.m., officers responded to Highway 119 and Gregory Street on a report of a vehicle collision with a sign in Gilpin County. Officers investigated and completed a state form. CDOT was notified of the damaged sign.

On 8/25/24, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street for no rear plates. A verbal warning was issued and the driver was released at the scene.

On 8/26/24, officers responded to the Monarch valet on the report of a non-injury vehicle accident.

On 8/26/24, Officers were dispatched to the Sasquatch Casino (125 Gregory Street, Black Hawk) regarding a disturbance. Two summons were issued and a report was taken.

On 8/26/24, an officer responded to the Ameristar parking garage on the report of an intoxicated party who was trespassed from the property but had returned and was attempting to drive. The party was taken to a detox facility.

On 8/26/24, an email came into the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office regarding a theft that had occurred at the Lady Luck Casino. The male subject wanted to report that his cell phone was "accessed" and information was stolen by the casino, including personal information and his campaign notes. There were no threats or intimidation in the email. Investigations reviewed the email and information on the subject. Nothing criminal was found and the information was just documented.

On 8/26/24, at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers contacted two parties on an ordinance violation on the 100 block of Miners Road. Information was collected and a field interview report was completed.

On 8/26/24, at approximately 8 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of a fictitious license plate occurring on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was arrested on outstanding warrants and additional charges. A report was completed.

On 8/27/24, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Main Street on a report of a party trespassing. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 8/28/24, at approximately 3:31 a.m., officers responded to The Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. The suspect returned to the scene and produced the stolen money. The victim did not want to press charges. The suspect was trespassed for seven days.

On 8/28/24, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving above the speed limit. The party was given a warning.

On 8/28/24, at approximately 2:39 p.m., officers responded to the commercial building parking lot on the 7300 block of Black Hawk Boulevard on a parking complaint. It was determined that an unattended vehicle had rolled back to the entryway. No property or vehicle damage was observed. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and it was moved. A field interview report was completed.

On 8/28/24, at approximately 3:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary permit occurring at Main Street and Miners Road. The driver had an active warrant for their arrest that the jail did not accept custody of. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 8/28/24, at approximately 7:53 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on Church and Gregory Street. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for pedestrians who had the signal to cross on Main and Gregory Street. The driver was given a warning and released.

On 8/28/24, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding found narcotics and paraphernalia. A report was taken.

On 8/28/24, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on possible domestic violence. Officers contacted the involved parties and determined that there was no crime committed and it was just a verbal argument. The male party did have a warrant for his arrest. The male party was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 8/29/24, officers responded to the Saratoga Casino regarding a theft incident. A party was issued a summons and a report was taken.

On 8/29/24, The Black Hawk Police Department discovered damage to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage. A suspect could not be identified. A report was taken.

On 8/29/24, the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a counterfeit $50 bill. A suspect was identified but not on scene. A report was taken.

On 8/29/24, at approximately 12:47 p.m., an officer completed a property damage report for a city-owned trailer.

On 8/29/24, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers responded to The Lodge Casino Hotel regarding found drugs. A possible suspect has been identified.

On 8/29/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a male party on the property who had been previously trespassed. The male was issued a municipal summons for trespassing.

On 8/30/24, at approximately 8:11 a.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The party later took a bus to the metro area.

On 8/30/24, officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a male party who was trespassed from the property. The male was issued a municipal summons for trespassing.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a minor on the gaming floor who was confirmed by surveillance to have consumed alcohol. Officers arrived on scene and gathered information from the minor and will provide the information to the Division of Gaming.

On 8/31/24, officers responded to the Gilpin Jail to assist deputies in completing an Intoxylizer test. Gilpin deputies arrested a male. A report was taken.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 8:47 a.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of an attempted car trespass.

On 8/31/24, a woman called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that she had lost her wallet while at the Gilpin Casino on 8/30/24. A report was taken.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 1:37 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino level 5 on a report of a hit and run traffic accident. On 8/31/24, a Black Hawk Water Department employee called the Black Hawk Police Department to report damage to a city-owned vehicle. A report was taken.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 1:32 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding a cold theft of property. A suspect has not yet been identified.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 1:58 p.m., an employee of Monarch Casino stole a beaded bracelet that was in the security room. The bracelet was found property and appeared to be of low value. The employee gave back the property under the agreement they would not be charged. The employee was terminated from the Monarch Casino.

On 8/31/24, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party who drove another person's vehicle while in valet. Officers were informed that the male party had left and was no longer on the scene. Officers reviewed surveillance and a report has been taken.

On 8/31/24, at about 11:30 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for found drugs. Surveillance identified a suspect who left property prior to being contacted.
