On 4/3/23, at approximately 7:06 a.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on level 2 on a report of vehicle trespass. Several items were stolen from the vehicle.

On 4/3/24, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. They passed two vehicles and made a lane change with no turn signals. The officer was following them at 55 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. The officer later issued the driver with a Municipal Ticket.
On 4/3/24, at approximately 10:26 p.m., officers received a call from the Horseshoe Casino on a report of harassing phone calls. The Horseshoe does not have any information about the person who called and isn't sure what the phone number is. Officers took a report.
On 4/3/24, at approximately 11:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlights occurring at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and a report was completed.
On 4/4/24, at approximately 1:06 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's West Casino on a report of a theft of poker chips. Officers arrived and contacted the male suspect.
On 4/4/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a possible fake or altered ID. Officers were familiar with the male who presented the ID and were able to verify his information. The ID was broken and taped and the expiration date was illegible. A report was completed.
On 4/4/24, at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated party attempting to retrieve a vehicle from valet. Officers made contact and assisted the party with arranging transportation on the bus.
On 4/4/24, at approximately 5:31 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a theft. After the officer conducted his investigations, the property that the victim stated was stolen was never observed on surveillance. The officer attempted to contact the victim but was unable to.
On 4/4/24, at approximately 10:11 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates. The officer later observed the plates on the rear windshield right behind the spoiler of the vehicle and released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 4/4/24, at approximately 10:34 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. The officer later gave a verbal warning to the driver to not operate the motor vehicle until he could get it registered. The driver had insurance and a bill of sale for the vehicle.
On 4/5/24, at approximately 1:39 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party that was permanently trespassed from the property. Officers contacted the male party and issued him a trespass ticket.
On 4/5/24, at approximately 9:47 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino valet on a guest wanting to report damage to her vehicle that occurred by a valet attendant. The officer took her information and Ameristar surveillance reviewed the incident. The damage on the vehicle was already present when it was seen being parked by the valet attendant when the guest arrived at the casino. The case was deemed unfounded.

On 4/7/24, at approximately 8:54 p.m., the Monarch Casino called in a disturbance in one of their hotel rooms between a male and female. The disturbance was verbal only and over lost money. No one was injured and no crime was committed. A warning was given regarding noise complaints.
On 4/8/24, at approximately 1:24 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver stated she was driving 40 miles per hour. The driver was given a warning for going 40 in a 15 mile per hour zone.
On 4/8/24, officers responded to Ameristar Casino and Hotel on the report of a stolen wallet being taken from the smoker's patio. Upon investigation, a female suspect was identified and was confirmed to be staying in a room in the hotel. Officers made contact and issued a summons. All belongings were returned to the owner.
On 4/8/24, an officer responded to the Black Hawk Public Works building for damage to a city vehicle. A report was taken.

On 4/8/24, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a report came in of a wallet that was lost and then found but $400 was missing. Casino surveillance reviewed the cameras and there was no proof that money was stolen and no proof of a suspect.
On 4/8/24, at approximately 8:13 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a theft report. The cell phone was returned to the owner before police arrived. However, a party associated with the person who returned the phone was arrested for two warrants and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/8/24, Black Hawk Police officers responded to a call at Lodge Casino for a welfare check. Upon speaking with two female parties, one of the females was determined to have a state-wide extradition warrant. The female party was arrested and transferred to Jefferson County Jail.

On 4/10/24, Black Hawk officers responded to an intoxicated party who was sitting in the driver's seat of his van inside the Dakota Parking Lot. Upon investigation, the male party agreed to sit at the Horseshoe Casino and wait for a bus to take him back to the Denver Metro area.

Officers determined that nothing criminal had taken place and the subject may have been experiencing mental health issues. On 4/13/24, at approximately 6:47 a.m., an Automated License Plate Reader search was conducted by an officer in the Dakota Parking Lot. A stolen license plate was found attached to a white SUV. The license plate was seized and the investigation into the theft is on-going.
On 4/13/24, at approximately 6:42 a.m., an officer was conducting an area check of the Bally's parking garage and noticed a vehicle on a jack stand. He stopped and checked on the vehicle and later seized a gun from it.

On 4/15/24, an officer contacted a suspicious male party at the Z Casino parking lot. The party had just arrived and was changing inside his vehicle.
On 4/15/24, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked on level three of the Horseshoe garage. The vehicle was unoccupied.
On 4/15/24, at approximately 4:26 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino for a male party trespassing. The suspect was contacted, issued a municipal summons, and released.
On 4/15/24, at approximately 9:06 p.m., Monarch Casino called the police department requesting an officer to assist with collecting restitution on a Division of Gaming case. A male party won a jackpot but owed $100 in restitution which he agreed to pay. A report made through AOA Gaming.
On 4/15/24, at approximately 9 p.m., surveillance at the Lodge Casino requested police for suspicious items left in the lobby. Officers responded and after seeing the items, found paperwork with possible owners information. The items contained drug paraphernalia and a Frontier Airlines device that had been stolen. The suspects returned to the Lodge and were issued citations.
On 4/15/24, Black Hawk Police officers responded to Chase Street regarding a call where the reporting party claimed she was being held hostage by four suspects. Upon arrival, officers cleared the house and determined that the reporting party was experiencing a psychological episode. Medics were called to the scene and assessed the reporting party before clearing from the call.
On 4/15/24, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Black Hawk Police and Fire responded to a male subject that had fallen in the Horseshoe Casino and had struck his head. The male subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance. An officer learned that the male suspect's condition was not stable and a review was conducted with assistance from Horseshoe Casino Surveillance.
On 4/16/24, an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of possible drugs found. Casino security managers identified the suspect and they will be charged with drug and drug paraphernalia possession.
On 4/16/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a report of theft at the Monarch Casino. After investigation, it was determined that there were additional felony charges. A male suspect was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/16/24, officers responded to the report of a possibly stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated that she knew who had her vehicle and did not want to press charges.
On 4/16/24, at approximately 9:46 p.m., Monarch Casino found a controlled substance in a backpack. A suspect was identified and arrested for possession and distribution.
On 4/17/24, officers were dispatched to an unwanted party at the Lodge Casino. The party was contacted and identified. The party was escorted off the premises and given a verbal warning.
On 4/16/24, Black Hawk officers responded to the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street for a vehicle accident involving two cars with injuries. Upon arrival, it was determined that a driver had failed to yield at the intersection and struck an incoming vehicle, resulting in a turnover. Both parties were transported to St. Anthony's medical center for mild injuries.
On 4/17/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft of property. A report was taken. The case remains active.
On 4/17/24, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the theft report. A suspect was identified and will be charged with theft.
On 4/17/24, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer contacted a female party who stated she was going to kill herself. The female party was not suicidal but stated she wanted to press harassment charges against the Lodge Casino. After investigations, the harassment claim was deemed unfounded.
On 4/17/24, officers conducted a traffic stop on Richman Street leading into the Ameristar parking garage level 5. There was not a back plate visible on the vehicle. The party was contacted and given a verbal warning.
On 4/17/24, at approximately 10 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plate. The officer later issued a citation to the driver.
On 4/17/24, at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving on two blown tires. The driver pulled over and officers observed that they appeared heavily intoxicated. The driver was arrested and charged for DUI.
On 4/18/24, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer scraped his patrol vehicle against a brick wall while backing into a parking spot. The officer filled out a CIRSA form and filled out a memo for records.
On 4/18/24, at approximately 5:29 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/18/24, at approximately 7:33 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a stolen phone. After investigations, the officer was unable to identify the suspect and took a report.
On 4/18/24, at approximately 9:04 p.m., officers contacted a vehicle parked at the Hidden Treasure Trailhead overflow lot. The occupant was advised of the camping regulations and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/18/24, at approximately 10:54 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a medical incident. During the incident, it was determined the complainant was offered narcotics by another individual. That individual was located and arrested. During the arrest, a felony level of narcotics was located. The party was jailed.
On 4/19/24, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no sticker on the license plate. The officer later released the driver with a citation for expired plates and no insurance.
On 4/19/24, at approximately 4:50 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gregory Street on a vehicle impeding traffic. The driver was given a warning.
On 4/19/24, officers responded to a non-injury property damage crash that occurred at 490 Main Street. A crash report was completed.

On 4/20/24, at approximately 6:48 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer responded to Bally's North Casino on the report of an assault. After investigations, the assault was deemed unfounded.
On 4/20/24, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were flagged down by a stranded motorist in the snow. He had his elderly mother on board and was given a courtesy transport to his residence in the county. He will have it privately towed.

On 4/23/24, at approximately 12:59 a.m., a verbal disturbance occurred in the Dakota Parking Lot between a male and female party. The male party was yelling, and the situation was escalating. The male party aggressively approached a law enforcement officer and was placed in handcuffs. After investigating the disturbance, no domestic violence was detected and the male party had subsided. Both parties were intoxicated and could not safely drive home. Both parties got a hotel room for the night. No charges filed.
On 4/23/24, while on an additional call, a Black Hawk Police officer found a gold chain necklace at 130 Main Street. The officer booked the necklace as found property.
On 4/23/24, a Black Hawk officer responded to Monarch Casino for the report of a theft occurring while at Horseshoe Casino. Upon arrival, officers took a report and were able to determine that the suspect was no longer in the city. A report was filed.

On 4/24/24, at approximately 6:33 a.m., officers and medical personnel responded to the report of a 70 year-old male who was located lying on the elevator floor lobby of the Ameristar Casino who appeared confused and complaining of pain. The male stated he was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot. An investigation revealed the subject was not struck by a vehicle and he was transported to the hospital regarding his medical complaints.
On 4/24/24, at approximately 12:54 p.m., officers received a REDDI report heading northbound on Highway 119. Officers located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and released the party on a verbal warning.
On 4/24/24, at approximately 4:25 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle not come to a complete stop at a stop sign located at the intersection of Bobtail and Miners Mesa Road. A marked patrol vehicle was requested to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped in the 500 block of Gregory Street and released on a verbal warning.
On 4/24/24, at approximately 8:59 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no headlights or taillights on. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 4/25/24, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers received a phone report requesting assistance from the Golden Police Department involving a case. Officers relayed relevant information to the Golden Police Department. Their investigation is ongoing.
On 4/25/24, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a suspicious vehicle was near the cell towers on Miner's Mesa Road. The occupants were contacted and advised that this was a restricted area. They were also given a verbal warning.
On 4/25/24, at approximately 10:57 a.m., officers responded to the Black Hawk Fire Administration parking lot on a report of a hit-and-run. A suspect has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

On 4/25/24, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim and the suspect. Officers reviewed surveillance and the suspect was charged.
On 4/25/24, at approximately 9:52 p.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a fraudulent $100 bill. The counterfeit bill was collected and booked into evidence.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 12:13 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a vehicle break-in. Officers were informed that the owner of the vehicle was a rental company, and it is unknown who rented the vehicle. Officers took a report.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers were able to locate the vehicle.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 11:44 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding an abandoned firearm. A firearm was recovered from a hotel room and booked into evidence for safekeeping.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 4:32 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates. The driver did have valid insurance for the vehicle and had a valid driver's license. The officer issued the driver a citation for expired registration.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 6:54 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a disturbance. After investigations, neither party wished to press charges and they were separated for the night.
On 4/26/24, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded to the Briggs parking lot on Gregory Street regarding a possible disturbance. A male and female were contacted and an investigation determined the altercation was verbal only.
On 4/26/24, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a harassment call. A male was arrested and transported to jail on menacing, criminal mischief, criminal trespassing, and theft charges.
On 4/27/24, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a suspect on the property who was involved with a controlled substance case. The male had an active warrant for the previous case and was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/27/24, Officers were on a walk at the Ameristar Casino. A male and female were arguing in the hotel lobby, and it was determined an assault had occurred in a hotel room. A female was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/27/24, at approximately 5:37 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a 911 call investigation. Officers arrived on scene and contacted a male party and his family. The family came from room 1632, which is where the 911 call came from. The male party informed officers that his youngest son dialed 911 by accident when he and his wife were not looking. Nothing suspicious was observed, and the family was released.
On 4/27/24, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers responded to the Dakota Lot on a report of a suspicious vehicle. All occupants presented their ID's. No criminal activity was observed. The vehicle left without incident.
On 4/27/24, at approximately 7:10 p.m., a Black Hawk Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that almost collided with him. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning for careless driving.

On 4/27/24, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Black Hawk Police officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. Officers contacted and identified the male party. He stated that he was leaving and that his fiancé was coming to pick him up.
On 4/28/24, at approximately 12:16 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's West Casino on a report of a male party refusing to leave the casino. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the male party. He stated that he felt like he was being harassed. Officers explained that the male party was asked to leave and then was escorted off the property.
On 4/28/24, officers responded to a theft of money at the Ameristar Casino. A suspect was identified and will be contacted.
On 4/28/24, an officer responded to the Dakota Parking Lot for a hit and run incident. A report was taken.
On 4/28/24, at approximately 9:36 p.m., a recent victim of a domestic violence crime reported the suspect had contacted the victim through text message. The victim came to the police department and text messages were copied as evidence. The text messages were reviewed by investigations and did not meet the needed requirements for a violation of protection order due to it allowing contact but nothing threatening, alarming or annoying.
On 4/28/24, at approximately 10:26 p.m., Lodge Casino said that an incident happened in the Dakota Parking Lot. A female party came into the Lodge Casino crying while another party left the Dakota Lot in a red vehicle. The incident was just an argument between the two. No charges were filed.
On 4/29/24, while on a walk at the Ameristar Casino, Black Hawk officers were approached by an employee who stated her backpack was stolen from the Women's Locker Room. Black Hawk officers took the report and started the investigation on trying to identify a suspect.
On 4/29/24, officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street. The vehicle stopped near the intersection of Main Street and Miners Street. A verbal warning was given for not having a license plate.
On 4/29/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report on a possible stolen license plate that may have occurred inside the Saratoga parking garage. Surveillance advised that the vehicle was already missing the rear license plate when they entered the garage.

On 4/29/24, at approximately 4:36 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of damaged property. A Monarch team member found damage to the driver's side door keyhole. The investigation is ongoing.
On 4/29/24, officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino Open Parking Lot on the south side of the casino regarding a hit and run. The victim was contacted and a report was taken.
On 4/29/24, Black Hawk officers received a call from Erie Police Department requesting help in a missing persons call. Black Hawk officers were able to assist by locating the missing party's vehicle in the Saratoga parking garage on level four and relay the information back to Erie Police Department.
On 4/30/24, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on a lost wallet. The reporting party is believed to have lost it at the Lady Luck Casino on Sunday 4/28/24. The case will remain open for further investigation.
On 4/30/24, at approximately 7:46 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a casino patron who had previously trespassed and was now on the property. The suspect was arrested for warrants and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. The suspect was also issued a summons for trespassing.
