On 9/1/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on the 5000 block of  Highway 119. The driver was investigated for DUI and placed under arrest. The driver was transported to Black Hawk Police Department (BHPD), where they became uncooperative. The driver was then transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/1/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's North regarding a cold theft. The item stolen was a Samsung Galaxy phone from the level 2 bar. The name of the suspect is unknown but officers are investigating through law enforcement databases through acquaintances.

On 9/1/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist a Division of Gaming investigator regarding a fight with a suspect who then fled. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect shortly after in the south parking lot. The suspect was placed in custody and transported to the jail on active warrants and new criminal charges.

On 9/1/25, a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8. The driver was released on a verbal warning for going straight in a turn lane.

On 9/1/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a stolen phone. A suspect was identified and issued a summons for the theft.

On 9/1/25, at approximately 6:14 p.m., a Black Hawk officer initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 and Richman Street for an illegal lane change. The driver was given a warning and released.

On 9/2/25, at approximately 12:06 p.m., a Black Hawk officer initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver stated he was not aware of the speed limit. He was made aware of the speed limit being 15 miles per hour and released with a warning.

On 9/2/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle displaying expired registration of 1/25. Officers stopped the vehicle, and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 9/2/25, at approximately 2 a.m., a Black Hawk sergeant  located a known party that had a municipal arrest warrant. The sergeant arrested the male suspect and he was later transported to the Gilpin County Jail. The male suspect was also found to have suspected drugs on his person and was issued a summons for the possession.

On 9/2/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on the report of a criminal trespass to a motor vehicle. Two vehicles had been damaged, and property that was stolen from each vehicle was located. There is no suspect information at this time. The case is active.

On 9/2/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to Bally's West casino on the report of a counterfeit bill used at the main cage. The bill was confiscated.

On 9/2/25, at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for performing an illegal U-turn at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/2/25, at approximately 9:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving occurring on the 200 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 9/3/25, a Black Hawk officer observed a vehicle going south on Highway 119 with a passenger side head light out. The driver was stopped and given a verbal warning.

On 9/3/25, Black Hawk officers observed a traffic infraction and conducted a traffic stop. Officers issued a verbal warning and cleared that scene.

On 9/3/25, at approximately 7:54 a.m., officers observed a vehicle missing its rear validation tabs at Main Street and Miners Road. The driver was given a warning.

On 9/3/25, at approximately 5:47 p.m., a Black Hawk sergeant responded to the Avenue of All Stars for a female in an RV having medical issues and being dehydrated. Police and fire responded and the subject refused further medical treatment. She was provided water and food.

On 9/3/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle travelling northbound on Highway 119 with no license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 500 block of Main Street. While the vehicle was pulled over, officers observed a license plate in the back window. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/3/25, at approximately 7:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/3/25, around 7:30 p.m., a Black Hawk sergeant took a phone report for lost property at Monarch Casino that occurred between May and July 2025.

On 9/3/25, Black Hawk officers were flagged down by a citizen stating there was a disturbance between two females at Miners Road and Main Street. Officers arrived on scene and contacted two females matching the given description. Officers completed an investigation and determined no crime occurred. Officers cleared the scene.

On 9/3/25, at approximately 9:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 530 Gregory Street for a broken headlight. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 9/4/25, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers contacted an unoccupied vehicle with its hazards on near the water treatment plant. Upon investigation, the temporary tag on the vehicle was fictitious. Officers met with the owner, seized the fictitious temporary tag, and took a report.

On 9/4/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino cashier's cage in reference to a counterfeit $5 bill. There was no suspect information, the counterfeit bill was confiscated and logged into evidence.

On 9/4/25, at approximately 12:09 p.m., an Black Hawk sergeant contacted a female on a welfare check at the gazebo at Main and Gregory Streets. The female was found to have an active warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/4/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle fail to initiate a turn signal while merging onto southbound Highway 119 from Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.8. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/4/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling down the roadway without displaying lamps when required. Officers issued a summons and proof of service and cleared the scene.

On 9/4/25, officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 on a vehicle with no visible plate. A verbal warning was given.

On 9/4/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle travelling northbound on Highway 119, mile marker 6, with no license plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at the 500 block of Main Street. The driver notified officers that their temporary tag was ripped off. Officers observed pieces of a temporary tag by the bolts where you attach the temporary tag. The driver provided appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/4/25, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates and no left rear brake light. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/4/25, at approximately 8:05 p.m., a Black Hawk sergeant initiated a traffic stop for possible fictitious plates near Bally's Casino. On contact, the driver was able to verify vehicle information with a copy of the registration. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 9/4/25, at approximately 9:21 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle without its headlights on at the intersection of Main Street and Richman. The driver was contacted and determined not to be intoxicated. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/4/25, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving and expired plates. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch parking garage to assist the Colorado State Patrol in locating a possible drunk driver. A driver was later located and contacted on the gaming floor, where a welfare check was performed. The driver was deemed not to be intoxicated per the Colorado State Patrol, and a report was completed.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 12:51 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a lost property call for $120 at Ameristar Casino. Upon investigation, officers were able to determine that there was a suspect on scene who had taken the money off the ground. The officers contacted the suspect. The suspect paid restitution and the victim did not want to press charges.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 1:38 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Main Street from the Horseshoe Casino with no headlights and no visible license plate. The driver was contacted and determined not to be intoxicated. A verbal warning was given, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plates. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.

On 9/5/25, officers responded to a disturbance at the Ameristar Casino. It was determined that the disturbance had happened earlier in the day in a hotel room. A female was arrested for criminal mischief and harassment, domestic violence (DV).

On 9/5/25, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of a theft. After investigations, the officer was able to observe the suspect of the theft via surveillance, but was unable to identify them or recover the phone. A report was completed.

On 9/5/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle travelling northbound Highway 119 with no license plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the Ameristar Casino bus turn around. A summons was issued.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 8:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for headlamps required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 530 Gregory Street for a vehicle failure to stop at the stop sign on Bobtail and Gregory Street. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 9:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 6 for expired plates 7/25. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning.

On 9/5/25, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for headlamps required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 9/5/25, at approximately 11:24 p.m, Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. Upon investigation, the driver did not have insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 9/6/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist the Division of Gaming in contacting a suspect to pay restitution. The suspect paid the restitution and Black Hawk officers cleared the scene.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 7:42 a.m., officers responded to an incident involving a physical altercation in the parking garage located at the Monarch Casino. All subjects left the scene prior to our arrival.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 11:57 a.m., officers took a report of money that was lost at the Ameristar Casino.

On 9/6/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of harassment at the Lodge Casino. A warrant was issued for the suspect.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 5:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates attached. The driver had a demo plate in the front windshield and was given a verbal warning.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a cold hit-and-run. Upon investigation, officers discovered that no hit-and-run occurred. An informational report was completed.

On 9/6/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a male party who did not have an identification card on the gaming floor. Black Hawk officers requested Division of Gaming officers due to it being a gaming incident.

On 9/6/25, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a counterfeit $100 bill. With the suspect on scene, officers confiscated the counterfeit bill and spoke with the suspect. No other counterfeit bills were found on their person. A report was taken and the case referred to the Secret Service.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Black Hawk officers called out a property damage traffic accident at the Dakota Lot involving a marked patrol vehicle with its emergency lights activated while on a separate traffic stop. Upon investigation, the suspect driver of the vehicle that made contact with the patrol vehicle was issued a Municipal Penalty Assessment for careless driving.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding the theft of an iPhone. Upon investigation, the suspect was identified, contacted, and issued a Gilpin County Summons for theft. A report was completed.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 11:06 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a welfare check on a female having a verbal argument with a male party. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female party. The female party was fine, and nothing criminal occurred between the female party and the male party. The male party was not on scene. Officers later spoke to the male party over the phone; the male party was fine and drove home. The male party was escorted off Horseshoe property without incident.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle for expired plates. Upon investigation, the driver could not provide evidence of current insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 9:08 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 245 Gregory Street for an expired temp tag 7/25. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning.

On 9/6/25, at approximately 9:01 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle without its headlights traveling eastbound on Main Street by the Horseshoe Casino. The driver was contacted and determined not to be intoxicated. A verbal warning was issued, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/6/25, officers were at the Ameristar on an unrelated call. While at the location, they assisted the Division of Gaming with a crime they were investigating. The party was given a warning for the gaming crime.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 11:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of trespass. Upon investigation, Lodge Casino employees submitted an official trespass notice, and an information report was taken.

On 9/7/25, officers were dispatched to the Bull Durham regarding a male party becoming irate and then leaving. While the party was vacating the property, he pushed several patrons. The party was not found when officers searched the area.

On 9/7/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of lost property. No suspect information was found. A report was taken.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 1:07 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a counterfeit $100 bill. After investigating, officers confiscated the bill.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 1:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Crooks Palace parking lot located at 200 Gregory Street to perform a welfare check on a child seen coming out of a vehicle. It was unknown if they were supervised. Upon further investigation, the child was being watched by older siblings, and the parents were contacted. Parents were given a verbal warning for having their kids unattended, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 2:02 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle at the Richman and Main Street intersection with an expired license plate of 8/24. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning due to a high-priority call for service unrelated to this stop. A field interview report was completed.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 2:13 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a disturbance in front of the Lodge Casino with a male and female. After investigation it was determined that they were in a physical altercation and were in a relationship. The male suspect was arrested and charged with domestic violence (DV) harassment, DUI and violation of protection order. He was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 9/7/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the 300 block of High Street on the report of a suspicious vehicle. A male party was contacted inside, who said he had fallen asleep while waiting for a friend to return. The party left in the vehicle without incident.

On 9/7/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the report of property damage. After reviewing surveillance footage, it was discovered that the damage did not happen at the Horseshoe garage.

On 9/7/25, at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a domestic disturbance. A party was contacted and arrested on an outstanding warrant. An investigation determined no criminal charges were appropriate for the disturbance. A report was completed.

On 9/8/25, at approximately 8:54 p.m., a Black Hawk officer initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119, mile marker 6 for a driver who said he thought the speed limit was 45 miles per hour. The driver was given a warning and released.

On 9/8/25, at approximately 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino to assist Colorado Division of Gaming agents who were in contact with a party. The subject was transported to jail on an outstanding warrant after receiving a summons for a gaming crime. A report was completed.

On 9/8/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino for a report of stolen property. Officers are actively investigating all possible leads at this time. Officers gathered initial information and are attempting to identify suspects.

On 9/8/25, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/8/25, at approximately 2:50 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no tail lamps displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/8/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a wanted party in or near the business. The suspect was contacted in the parking garage, taken into custody, and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/8/25, a Black Hawk officer took a phone report regarding a lost cell phone that occurred on 9/7/25. The cell phone was tracked to a King Soopers in Denver, and a Denver police officer assisted in getting the cell phone back to the reporting party.

On 9/8/25, at approximately 11:39 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed, occurring at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/9/25, at approximately 5:55 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft. Two suspects were contacted and issued summonses. A report was completed.

On 9/9/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a firearm found in a hotel room. The item was booked into evidence for safekeeping.

On 9/9/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino parking lot regarding a possible DV that had just occurred. After speaking with both parties involved and reviewing surveillance video, it was determined that a crime had not occurred.

On 9/9/25, Black Hawk officers responded to Monarch Casino for an active disturbance. Once on scene, officers conducted an investigation and determined that no crime had been committed. Officers cleared the scene.

On 9/9/25, at approximately 10:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no tail lamps displayed, occurring on the 500 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On /9/9/25, at approximately 10:38 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a theft. The suspect was contacted and issued a municipal summon and released.

On 9/10/25, Black Hawk officers self-dispatched to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming on a reported underage guest on the gaming floor. Officers cleared the party and determined that the guest was of age. Officers cleared the scene.

On 9/10/25, at approximately 9:18 a.m., officers took a report for a possible sexual assault that occurred in the Monarch Hotel sometime in July 2025. This case is active.

On 9/10/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the 300 block of Main Street for a damaged light pole. The investigation was completed and a report was taken.

On 9/10/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a criminal trespass to a motor vehicle. The case is active.

On 9/10/25, at approximately 9:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 5312 Highway 119 for a broken headlight. The driver was issued a summons for having no insurance and an expired registration of 3/25.

On 9/10/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 with a taillight out. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the Coyote Motel. Upon contact, the driver handed officers appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/10/25, at approximately 10:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates attached. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 9/10/25, at approximately 10:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 5312 Highway 119 for a broken headlight. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/10/25, at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no tail lights displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 2:08 a.m., Black Hawk officers attempted to contact a person riding a bike, going eastbound from the 300 block of Main Street. The individual, however, ran from the police and was unable to be contacted. A report was completed.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 3:04 a.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a welfare check on an individual who was found sleeping in their vehicle on level 2 of the Bally’s parking garage. Upon contacting the individual, it was determined that they had active warrants for their arrest. Narcotics were found on their person when searched. The individual was transported to the Gilpin County Jail, and a report was completed.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 7:27 a.m., officers received a call about narcotics located on the casino floor at the Lodge Casino. A suspect was subsequently identified and arrested.

On 9/11/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle travelling northbound Highway 119 at mile marker 6 with expired registration tags of 10/24. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the Dakota Lot. The driver handed officers appropriate documentation and was issued a summons.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving and failure to use a turn signal. The driver was issued a Municipal Penalty Assessment.

On 9/11/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Bobtail Street and Miners Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle next to Gregory Plaza on Gregory Street. The driver handed the officers appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 7:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. Upon contact, the driver could not provide a current copy of valid insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 9/11/25, at approximately 10:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on a walk at the Ameristar Casino. Officers were stopped by security for a lost set of keys. After the investigation, surveillance was unable to find anything.

On 9/12/25, at approximately 8:17 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino in reference to a theft that had just occurred. Through the course of investigation, the suspect was located and arrested for theft.

On 9/12/25, at approximately 12:07 p.m., officers received a call for a theft and fraud that occurred at the Monarch Casino over a span of multiple dates and times. The case is active and ongoing.

On 9/12/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a hit and run involving two vehicles. A suspect was identified, and a report was taken.

On 9/12/25, Black Hawk officers, Black Hawk Fire, and Gilpin County Ambulance were dispatched to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage regarding a Lady Luck maintenance worker cutting their hand while working with a table saw. The officer responded to provide first aid until advanced medical help could arrive. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

On 9/12/25, officers were dispatched to a theft at the Ameristar Casino, the suspect had found a wallet and turned it into security but took the cash out of the wallet before turning it in. Officers were able to contact the suspect and issue a summons for theft.

On 9/12/25, at approximately 9:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/12/25, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on follow-up at the Lodge Casino, when they were advised of a broken slot machine. An informational report was completed.

On 9/12/25, at approximately 11:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a call to cover gaming at the Monarch Casino. During the investigation, the victim was very agitated, and the suspect was given a verbal warning.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Black Hawk police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired Colorado temporary tag from 6/25, traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6. A driver who didn't have a valid driver's license was contacted. The driver was issued a Penalty Assessment and advised not to drive. A field interview report was completed.

On 9/13/25, officers observed the suspect vehicle going southbound on Main Street without any lights on during dark. The driver was given a warning.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 1:23 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8 for an expired temporary tag, dated 7/25. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/13/25, at 4:23 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming regarding a minor on the gaming floor and drinking alcohol. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons from the Division of Gaming. A report was completed.

On 9/13/25, officers responded to a child walking around the parking garage at the Lady Luck Casino. A male and female were later contacted and issued Gilpin County Summons for child abuse.


On 9/13/25, at approximately 8:14 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with two defective brake lights (right passenger, high-mounted) at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 10:36 a.m., officers responded to the Dakota Lot located at 245 Main Street, on the report of a theft and criminal trespass. After the investigation, the victim did not wish to pursue charges.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 1:42 p.m., officers received a telephone report from a social worker at Lutheran Hospital reporting on a female that was transported from Black Hawk. After further investigation it was found that the female was transported from the Grand Z Casino. This call was referred to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office (GCSO).

On 9/13/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a staff employee making self-harm statements. The employee was not on scene. Officers gathered an address for the staff employee. Officers requested Gilpin County deputies to make contact with the party at the address that is out of Black Hawk’s jurisdiction. A report was taken.

On 9/13/25, officers went to the Ameristar Casino to pick up a staff member that had an active warrant from another jurisdiction. Officers arrested the individual and took them to the Gilpin County Jail on the active warrant.

On 9/13/25, an officer observed a male party setting up his guitar and amplifier which is against city ordinance. The party was originally not wanting to provide identification. He gave a verbal name that later was determined to be false.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no plate at Gregory and Church Streets. The driver had just purchased the car and was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 8:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a possible theft. Upon investigation, no theft occurred, as the reporting party stated. A lost property report was completed.

On 9/13/25, at approximately 9:01 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle unable to maintain lanes while traveling southbound on Highway 119 from Highway 119 and Richman. The driver was contacted and determined not to be intoxicated. However, the driver admitted to being on the phone while driving. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/14/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of stolen property from a vehicle. No suspect was observed entering the victim's car.

On 9/14/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report regarding a lost wallet.

On 9/14/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for possible harassment. Officers arrived and discovered that there was no crime committed. Officers stood by as Horseshoe staff trespassed the unwanted guest. Once the guest was off the property, officers cleared the scene.

On 9/14/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a verbal warning to the driver. Officers released the driver and cleared the scene.

On 9/15/25, at approximately 1:05 a.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of lost property. A surveillance review determined that the item was stolen, and a suspect was identified. The investigation is ongoing and a report was completed.

On 9/15/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle not obeying posted traffic devices while on the roadway. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for driving behavior. Officers then released the driver and cleared the scene.

On 9/15/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs in a hotel room. The suspect was later contacted, and a summons was issued for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 9/15/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Black Hawk Post Office at 7340 Black Hawk Boulevard for a male patron who made a threat. The postal inspectors followed up with the suspect, and the situation was resolved.

On  9/16/25, at approximately 12:51 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no tail lamps displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/16/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a theft from a vehicle that occurred earlier this morning. This case remains active for further investigation.

On 9/16/25, at approximately 7:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for lost property. Officers were unable to determine where the property was lost.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 5:23 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of a theft. The stolen items were paid for and the suspect was not charged in the incident. A report was completed.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 5:14 a.m., officers contacted a suspicious party walking on Miners Road. The party checked okay and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 10:48 a.m., officers observed an abandoned/disabled vehicle at 6000 Highway 119 northbound. The vehicle had two flat tires. The vehicle was red-tagged with a 24-hour notice to tow at the aforementioned date and time. The owner was contacted, and a voicemail was left to retrieve their car on 9/18/25. The vehicle was still abandoned on 9/19/25 at 9:48 a.m., and was towed.

On 9/17/25, an officer witnessed a non-injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at the corner of Richman and Highway 119. The driver at fault was issued a summons for careless driving.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 1:34 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch valet for the report of an individual huffing nitrous oxide. Upon contact, the party had narcotic equipment, and upon a search, ketamine was located. This party was arrested.

On 9/17/25, an officer executed a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons for expired temporary permit and failed to present immediate evidence of insurance.

On 9/17/25, Black Hawk Police assisted the FBI on locating a person of interest that they wished to interview. The subject was located and the FBI later contacted this individual after a traffic stop. The incident they were investigating did not occur in Colorado.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for not using turn signals and driving down the middle of a two lane highway. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 10:53 p.m., Black Hawk police officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with no license plate traveling eastbound on Main Street. A driver was contacted, and, upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver had just bought the vehicle. However, the driver had a revoked driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons, a proof of service, and was advised not to drive. A field interview report was completed.

On 9/17/25, at approximately 11:51 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on a walk at the Ameristar Casino, when security asked to walk the garage for two potential suspects with coat hangers who were trying to get into a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers put one male party in custody for possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics, and a weapons violation.

On 9/18/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling east on Gregory Street, passing Main Street, with expired registration tags of 8/24. Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle near the bus turn around at the Ameristar Casino. Upon contact, the driver handed officers appropriate documentation. This driver was issued a ticket for expired registration. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/19/25, officers observed a vehicle displaying expired out-of-state plates. The driver and the vehicle have been contacted by officers in the past for driving without a license, no insurance and expired plates. The vehicle was towed. Upon a tow inventory drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine was discovered. The driver was found in Central City, arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light. The driver was issued a Municipal Penalty Assessment.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 12:04 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 5800 Highway 119 for an expired plate of 8/25. After the investigation, the driver was taken into custody for a warrant and was also cited for no insurance, fictitious plate, and expired Colorado plate.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 1:25 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a phone theft. A suspect was later found who lied about their identity, and upon further investigation, it was discovered that they were staying in a room at the Lady Luck Hotel that was supposed to be vacant. The suspect was transported to the Gilpin County Jail, and a report was completed.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 2:22 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a potential theft. The suspect was issued a Municipal Summons.

On 9/19/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 with no plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at the bus turn around next to the Ameristar Casino. Upon contact, the driver showed appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 7:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to use a turn signal and using a cellphone while driving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/19/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle with no tail lights on traveling southbound Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at mile marker 5.8. Upon contact, the driver turned their lights on and handed officers appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 9/19/25, officers received a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) report of a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 119. The driver was found in the parking garage at Bally's. The driver refused roadside and any tests. They were cited and released on DUI charges to a sober party.

On 9/19/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a phone report of a cold assault that happened on 9/19/25 in Bally's north parking garage. The investigation is ongoing and there is no suspect information. A report was taken.

On 9/19/25, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a call regarding a missing adult who was last seen in Black Hawk on 9/19/25. After further investigation it was discovered, the individual left the city of Black Hawk on the same day.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Black Hawk police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street without its headlights on. The driver was contacted and deemed not to be intoxicated. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 3:53 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to an intoxicated party at the Monarch Casino,  near guest services. Once officers arrived, the male party was put into protective custody and taken to InterMountain Health Lutheran Medical Center by Gilpin County medics.


On 9/20/25, at approximately 6:35 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly in the 6300 block of southbound Highway 119. The driver was stopped and given a warning for the driving actions.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 11:25 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, in reference to found property. While cleaning room number 3116 of the hotel, housekeeping located a handgun on the nightstand. The handgun was secured and placed into safekeeping.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 1:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for turning from a straight-only lane. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/20/25, officers responded to the Lodge Casino in reference to an assault that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers investigated the incident. No charges were pursued and the suspect received a criminal trespass notice.

On 9/20/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a found firearm. There was no owner information. A report was taken.

On 9/20/25 at approximately 4 p.m., officers assisted Gilpin County Sheriff at the Yankee Hill Trail parking lot located at 1152 Upper Apex Road, with a physical disturbance with firearms involved.

On 9/20/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. No suspect information was found. A report was taken.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 6:41 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Bally's bus stop on a report of an intoxicated party. Upon investigation, the Black Hawk Fire Department and Gilpin Ambulance were dispatched. Shortly after, Gilpin County Ambulance refused to look at the male. The male was later transported to detox.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a theft at the Horseshoe Casino. The suspect was already in the security office. After the investigation, officers issued a summons for theft to the suspect.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 8:58 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Hotel regarding a physical altercation that was no longer active. Upon further investigation it was determined that a dispute between siblings occurred. No one wished to press charges and the siblings were told to separate for the rest of the evening. A report was completed.

On 9/20/25, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 with an expired temporary permit. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 9/20/25, Black Hawk Communications received a call that there was a male and female at Ameristar Casino who had a protection order with each other. Black Hawk officers conducted an investigation and attempted to locate the couple but were unable to do so at that time.

On 9/20/25, officers were dispatched to a physical disturbance at Lady Luck garage between two parties. It was determined that they were in an intimate relationship. Physical contact with each other was mutual and both were arrested on Domestic Violence charges. There was a protection order in place, and one party violated the provisions of the order and was also charged.

On 9/21/25, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to level three of the Monarch parking garage for a non-injury traffic accident. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a vehicle backed into another vehicle while attempting to back out of a parking spot. A report was completed.

On 9/21/25, at approximately 1:17 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a call at the Monarch Casino for a verbally trespassed party that was making threats to security. Upon further investigation, the victim did not want to press charges and officers were unable to locate the suspect.

On 9/21/25, at approximately 2:11 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Ameristar Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming in contacting a $500 Titio theft suspect who was staying in the Ameristar Hotel. A report was completed.

On 9/21/25, at approximately 5:16 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for an unwanted party at the blackjack table. Upon arrival, the party was involved in a gaming crime. After Gaming was done with its investigation, Black Hawk officers escorted the suspect off the property.

On 9/21/25, at approximately 6:38 p.m., an officer responded to 221 Church Street, The Black Hawk Police Department, to a call from an individual who reported an incident of physical assault that occurred on 9/21/25 shortly after 12:01 a.m. After speaking with the victim, he decided not to move forward with the case and refused to identify the suspect.

On 9/21/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Bobtail Street and Miners Road. The driver was released on a verbal warning for turning left at the light on Miners Road and Main Street, where the pedestrian sign was lit up and people were actively crossing.

On 9/21/25, an officer responded to Bally's West Casino regarding a report of harassing telephone calls. The caller was unknown, and the case is active.

On 9/21/25, an officer was issued a report of a dog bite that occurred at the Hidden Treasure trailhead. The victim sustained several lacerations to their hand and wrist. The dog responsible for the bite will be quarantined for 10 days.




On 9/21/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of lost property. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the reporting party, who stated that a cell phone was dropped inside the casino. While officers started the investigation, security located the cell phone and returned it to the reporting party.

On 9/22/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a report of a sweatshirt missing from a hotel room. The case will remain active for further investigation.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 12:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates displayed occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 1:12 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of trespassing. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 9/22/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of a possible harassment. Officers conducted an investigation and determined that incidental contact was made and there were no criminal actions. Officers issued warnings to both parties and cleared the scene.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 2:54 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs with a suspect on scene. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 9/22/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted an identification check to verify a male's age at the Monarch Casino.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 2:15 p.m., a sergeant was flagged down for a hit and run accident which occurred off of Richman Street. A large truck was parked at 1020 Dory Hill Road and a box truck backed into the truck and left the scene. The driver of the box truck was later stopped in Gilpin County and issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 9:27 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of a verbal argument. Black Hawk officers spoke to both male parties involved and they agreed to stay away from each other.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 10:05 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle driving north on Main Street with no headlights activated. The officer completed a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 10:45 p.m., an officer was southbound on Highway 119, when he observed a vehicle with expired license plates of 6/25. The vehicle was stopped and the driver issued a warning.

On 9/22/25, at approximately 11:13 p.m., an officer contacted a vehicle in the Rim Rock parking lot at 100 Miners Road. The occupant was asleep, and upon contact, advised she was mourning her mother and that she comes up to the parking lot when she needs a break. She was not in distress and advised she would leave in a few hours.

On 9/22/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street on a report of a disturbance that took place in the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. Officers searched the area and nearby casinos and were unable to locate a suspect or victim. Officers then cleared the scene.

On 9/23/25, at approximately 10:58 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 9/23/25, at approximately 12:24 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 without headlights and rear marking lights. The driver was stopped at mile marker 5.6 and given a verbal warning.

On 9/23/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of an intoxicated person operating a motor vehicle. Officers observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers placed the driver into custody and transported to the Black Hawk Police Department for processing.

On 9/23/25, at approximately 5:06 a.m., officers responded to the Bally's parking garage on a report of narcotics use occurring in a vehicle. Suspects were contacted and a baggy of methamphetamine was seized. A summons was issued and a report was completed.

On 9/23/25, an officer responded to the Wild Casino on the report of found drugs. The person who had been in possession of the controlled substance (cocaine) was later contacted and issued a summons.

On 9/23/25, officers conducted a welfare check on a female who had been reported to be suicidal at an earlier time. Medics responded to the scene. After an evaluation, it was determined there were no concerns with the female.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a verbal argument between two people that the Colorado State Patrol observed on Main Street in front of the Gilpin Casino. The second half was unable to be located, and while speaking with the male party, he stated that it was verbal only, and no physical contact was made. After checking the area for the other party, they were unable to be located, and the male party was released.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 3:59 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver was doing 25 mph in a 15 mph zone. The driver was given a warning.

On 9/24/25, officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 with no plates visible. The officers stopped the vehicle and a partial temporary tag was seen in the back window. The temporary tag was expired on 7/23. The driver was issued a penalty assessment for expired temporary tags.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 9:14 p.m., Black Hawk police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed to be traveling eastbound on Main Street from the 100 block without headlights on. The driver was contacted and deemed not to be intoxicated. The driver was given a verbal warning, and an interview report was completed.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8 for an expired plate and a broken headlight. The driver was issued a summons for no insurance and an expired plate of 3/25.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 9:41 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer was performing a license plate reader sweep at the Dakota Lot located at 130 Main Street. During the sweep, a vehicle registered to a sex offender, who shouldn't be around children and who might be tied to prostitution, was located. An area check of the Lodge Casino was performed, and the registered owner of the vehicle was located. The registered owner was not with any children, and an informational report was completed.

On 9/24/25, at approximately 10:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers went to the Monarch Casino for an assist to another agency, Gaming, for a theft from a machine. Officers arrived and waited with the suspect in the interview room. After the investigation, the suspect was released with a verbal warning.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 1 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino at the request of the Colorado Division of Gaming to assist them in covering as they contacted suspects in a gaming crime. A report was completed.

On 9/25/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a motorist assist. Officers assisted the driver with getting the vehicle started and cleared the scene.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 3:59 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to assist another agency, the Division of Gaming. During the investigation, gaming released the suspects on pending charges.

On 9/25/25, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a fraudulent bill. Upon investigation completion, the bill was collected, and a report was taken.

On 9/25/25, an officer was dispatched to Bally's North regarding a missing wallet. After review of surveillance, they observed the party leave the property with his wallet on 9/24/25. The party was advised on the disposition by phone.

On 9/25/25, Black Hawk officers observed a male party that matched the description of a suspect that had a valid Black Hawk warrant for False Reporting to Law Enforcement. The party was contacted, arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 9:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on Main Street. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons for operating a motor vehicle with expired plates.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a theft at the Ameristar Casino. Officers determined the theft occurred in front of Bally's North. Two suspects were located and arrested for theft in an amount over $2,000.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 10:29 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a call of damaged property caused by a vehicle entering the vehicle area. Upon further investigation, it was determined that there was no property damage and no crime had been committed. A report was taken.

On 9/25/25, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Black Hawk Communications got a call on a report of a lost wallet at the Monarch Casino. Black Hawk officers responded at approximately 12:37 a.m., 9/26/25. An officer arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation is still ongoing and a report was taken.

On 9/26/25, at approximately 1:33 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino hotel with the Black Hawk Fire Department and Gilpin County Ambulance regarding a welfare check. The reporting party was worried for an individual who might have been going through a mental health crisis. The individual was located, and after a well-being check was conducted, it was determined that the individual was okay, needing no further assistance. A report was completed.

On 9/26/26, at approximately 10:28 a.m., officers responded to a report involving a potential indecent exposure incident at a parking garage located on the fourth floor of the Horseshoe Casino. The incident occurred a week ago and the suspect had left the scene.

On 9/26/25, officers were advised of a counterfeit $100 bill that the Lodge Casino had in its possession. The bill was collected, and a report was generated.

On 9/26/25, officers were driving on Highway 119 at approximately mile marker 8.5, and observed a male firing a handgun creekside. The male was contacted and advised that firing a gun in city limits was prohibited. A verbal warning was given.

On 9/26/25, at approximately 1:38 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with missing validation tabs on its license plate. When they cleared the license plate, they found that it was expired. The driver was given a warning.

On 9/26/25, officers observed a vehicle speeding down Main Street. Officers stopped the driver and gave him a verbal warning.

On 9/26/25, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a glass pipe found in a hotel room after the guest had checked out. The pipe was collected and there was no suspect information given. The pipe was logged into evidence for destruction, no testable amount of residue was found in the pipe.

On 9/26/25, officers observed a vehicle driving with an expired temporary of 6/25. The driver was stopped and given a verbal warning.

On 9/26/25, an officer received a REDDI report from Highway 119 regarding a white Ford pickup truck that was weaving into oncoming lanes of traffic and leaving the road. The last location was the Monarch Casino valet parking. The driver was located, and they refused sobriety testing. The driver was issued a summons and notice of revocation and was taken to detox.


On 9/26/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the level two parking garage at the Monarch Casino on a lock out. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the reporting party. The reporting party had a misdemeanor warrant and was arrested and booked into Gilpin County Jail. A report was taken.

On 9/26/25, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers found three bikes at the Hidden Treasure Trail Head at 8060 Black Hawk Boulevard. All three bikes were placed into the found property.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 3:37 a.m., Black Hawk officers witnessed a physical disturbance outside the Lodge Casino, by the bus turnaround, with three male parties and two female parties. After the investigation, officers determined that nothing criminal had happened.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 3:06 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to Monarch Casino in reference to a physical disturbance between a male and female. The male and female left the monarch but were later located in front of the Ameristar Casino. Upon further investigation, it was determined that there was evidence of a crime, and the male party was taken into custody.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 6:17 a.m., officers observed a damaged highway sign in the median of Highway 119 and Richman Street. There was no available camera footage of this location, so a suspect could not be identified. A crash report and all relevant paperwork were completed.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 9:57 a.m., officers observed a vehicle following too close in the 6000 block of northbound Highway 119. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a hit and run at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage. A witness had left a note on the victim's vehicle providing limited information. I will continue my investigation in an attempt to identify the suspect vehicle.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 12:58 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle with an expired plate from 11/24 in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a citation.

On 9/27/25, officers observed a vehicle displaying expired vehicle registration from 12/24. The driver was stopped and issued a county penalty assessment for expired registration.

On 9/27/25, officers responded to the Wild Card Casino, in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival we met with all parties, to include management, to determine it was a verbal altercation over a slot machine. All parties were asked to leave.

On 9/27/25, Black Hawk officers responded to a hit and run that occurred inside the Monarch Casino parking garage. A report was taken.

On 9/27/25, at approximately 9:27 p.m., officers conducted a security check of the Bobtail restroom located at 400 Gregory Street. Upon arrival, a male individual was found in the male restroom and stated that he knew that the restroom was supposed to be closed. The male individual was then issued a Black Hawk municipal summons for trespass, and a report was completed.

On 9/28/25, at approximately 2:04 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with a broken taillight make an unsafe lane change from the middle lane to the left turn lane, at the intersection of Gregory and Highway 119. The officer contacted a driver who had a felony warrant for their arrest. The driver was taken into custody without incident and later transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A report was completed.

On 9/28/25, at approximately 5:33 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Monarch Casino, regarding a counterfeit $20 bill. The suspected counterfeit bill was collected, and a report was completed.

On 9/28/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a domestic dispute in progress. A female suspect was arrested for harassment/DV.

On 9/28/25, at approximately 5:55 a.m., dispatch received a call from Ameristar Casino in regards to found drugs. Officers were unable to respond due to call load. At approximately 9:25 a.m., officers were notified that there was a suspect and he was still on scene. The suspect was later contacted and arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/28/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a counterfeit $10 bill. The bill was confiscated and booked into evidence.

On 9/28/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 240 Main Street for an intoxicated party that was refusing to leave the property after being told. Officers advised the party to leave, and they did so. Officers cleared the scene.

On 9/28/25, a sergeant completed a traffic stop for a red light violation at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street. There was no traffic at the time of the violation. A warning was given to the driver.

On 9/28/25, at approximately 10:31 p.m, Black Hawk officers spoke with a male party at the Monarch Casino, who had lost his cell phone. The male party dropped his cell phone, which was picked up by housekeeping and turned in. The party was given his cell phone back.

On 9/28/25, Black Hawk officers responded to DuBois Street on a report of an active disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation, and determined this was a swatting call. Officers identified the caller and will be following up at a later date.

On 9/29/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 240 Main Street to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming. Officers stood by as cover and transported one adult male to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 9/29/25, at approximately 12:33 a.m., officers contacted a suspicious vehicle at the Monarch garage. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized, and two suspects were released on summons. A report was completed.

On 9/29/25, at approximately 1:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after receiving a REDDI report from the Monarch Casino. The driver was arrested for DUI, and drugs were found on their person. The driver was released to a sober party with a summons. A report was completed.

On 9/29/25, a Black Hawk sergeant observed a disabled vehicle in the 100 block of Richman Street. Sergeant Sagar recognized the driver from previous contacts and had dispatch clear him for warrants. The subject was found to have a felony warrant out of another jurisdiction. The subject was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. The vehicle was towed due to being a traffic hazard.

On 9/29/25, Black Hawk officers responded to Highway 119 on a report of an intoxicated party behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling north. Officers observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers placed the driver into custody and transported him back to the Black Hawk Police Department for processing.

On 9/29/25, an officer responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a stolen phone. A suspect was identified and issued a summons for the theft.

On 9/29/25, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a verbal disturbance inside a hotel room. After speaking with both parties involved, officers determined that it was just a verbal argument, and no charges would be pursued.

On 9/29/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a no injury hit and run. A possible suspect was identified and will be issued a summons.

On 9/29/25, at approximately 2:02 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street on a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The driver was driving 25 mph in a 15 mph zone. The driver stated that he was unaware of the speed limit. He was given a warning and released.

On 9/29/25, at approximately 2:54 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call from a party who wanted to make an anonymous report about her ex-boyfriend. Officers and dispatch called the reporting party several times, and she would not answer. She, however, would text with dispatch and said she did not want to talk with anyone about this anymore.

On 9/29/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Lady Luck VIP parking lot regarding a hit-and-run accident. The case remains active for additional follow-up.

On 9/30/25, at approximately 12:39 a.m., officers assisted the Division of Gaming in making contact with several parties in two vehicles in the parking garage at the Ameristar Casino. The subjects were passed out in the vehicles and would not answer. After about 10 minutes of attempting contact, the subjects woke up and were interviewed. After the contact, the Ameristar Casino security trespassed the subjects.

On 9/30/25, at approximately 10 a.m., a REDDI report came in that was made by the Ameristar Casino. The vehicle was followed from approximately mile marker 5.8 on Highway 119 to approximately mile marker 2 on Highway 119. No driving actions, or any other signs of impairment were observed.

On 9/30/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to Chase Street on a medical situation. The involved female was evaluated and transported to Lutheran Hospital.

On 9/30/25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after receiving a REDDI report from a motorist concerned about driving behavior observed on Highway 119. The driver was determined not to be intoxicated and released on a verbal warning for traffic violations. A field interview report was completed.
