On 11/1/25, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a disturbance at the casino pit area. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the suspect. After the investigation suspect was issued a summons for violating a protection order for drinking alcohol.

On 11/1/25, at approximately 9:44 a.m., officers responded to High Street for an unconscious, non-breathing person inside a residence. The party was pronounced deceased and the investigation was handed over to the Gilpin County Coroner.

On 11/1/25, at approximately 12:13 p.m., officers received a telephone report in regard to a lost or stolen coin purse at the Crook's Palace.

On 11/1/25, at approximately 4:24 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a suspicious vehicle with the trunk open. Upon investigation, officers checked the welfare of a male who was sleeping in the driver's seat. The male continued on his way.

On 11/1/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling west on Bobtail Road with no headlights or taillights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at the entrance of the Carriage House. A verbal warning was issued.

On 11/1/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 with no headlights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at mile marker 5.8. A verbal warning was issued.

On 11/1/25, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/1/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 333 Main Street for a vehicle with no plates. The driver was issued a summons for an unregistered vehicle.

On 11/2/25, at approximately 12:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot for a possible hit and run. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party. After the investigation, officers were unable to determine if a crime was committed.

On 11/2/25, a Black Hawk officer collected a found cellphone from a female party who had found it at Crook's Palace. The cellphone was booked into evidence for the owner to claim.

On 11/2/25, a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that stopped inside the Bally's garage for improper lane change. The driver was released on a verbal warning.

On 11/2/25, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male who was trespassing. The male left and was told he would be permanently classified as a trespasser for life.

On 11/3/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino on a report of a theft that occurred on the gaming floor. Officers discovered suspect information and attempted to locate. Officers were unsuccessful and will be continuing the investigation.

On 11/3/25, at approximately 4:26 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on a report of a non-injury traffic accident. A report was completed.

On 11/3/25, at approximately 4:51 a.m., Black Hawk officers were flagged down by Monarch Casino security while investigating a vehicle crash. Security advised that a physical altercation was occurring on the main floor of the casino. Officers responded and investigated the disturbance. No crime was reported to officers; however, one of the involved persons had an active warrant for their arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/3/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of suspected drugs found in a hotel room. The last occupant was contacted, but was unaware of the item present in the room. The case is closed.

On 11/3/25, at approximately 6:28 p.m., a Black Hawk sergeant completed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6 with no headlights on. The driver received a verbal warning.

On 11/4/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a theft report. The victim did not desire a report to be taken and the suspect is unknown.

On 11/4/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed male on the property. The male was issued a municipal summons for trespassing and left the property without incident.

On 11/5/25, Black Hawk officers observed a traffic violation at the intersection of Bobtail Road and Gregory Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from Kansas. Officers contacted the driver and placed the driver under arrest. The driver was found to have warrants for her arrest.

On 11/5/25, Black Hawk officers responded to Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespassed party back on the property. Officers arrived and determined the casino paperwork was invalid and needed to be re-served. Officers stood by and observed the advisement and escorted the party off the casino property.

On 11/5/25, at approximately 9:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red light violation occurring at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/5/25, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlamps and failure to maintain lane occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver failed to yield until pulling over at the Z-Stop gas station, was detained, and ultimately released on a verbal warning. A report was completed.

On 11/5/25, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound bound Highway 119 for driving without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/5/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on the roadway without a license plate displayed. Officers initiated a traffic stop and cleared the driver. The driver had outstanding warrants for her arrest, and officers placed her into custody.

On 11/5/25, at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers assisted Gilpin County Sheriff's Office deputies who were attempting to stop a vehicle on northbound Highway 119 from mile marker 2. The vehicle continued through Black Hawk, and a report was completed.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 10:02 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 2:48 a.m., officers observed a vehicle proceeding past cones set up on southbound Highway 119 at Main Street and conducting a U-turn on northbound Highway 119 past the closure. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 12:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring at the 500 block of Gregory Street. Officers cleared to respond to a traffic accident and the driver was released with a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 6:37 a.m., officers received a report of a reckless driver on Highway 119 mile marker 1. The vehicle was located at the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street, bearing no license plates. No driving actions were observed in the city limits. The driver recently purchased the vehicle and had valid insurance. The driver was given a warning.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 8:58 a.m., officers received a REDDI report for a vehicle swerving across lanes of traffic. The vehicle was located at 5800 Highway 119, and the driver was cited.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 1:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to a party who had broken a glass in a fit of rage and threatened a dealer at the Ameristar Casino. The suspect was cited.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 7:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates attached. Upon investigation, the driver had a CIJIS Misdemeanor warrant. The driver was placed into custody and was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/6/25, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for a physical altercation that occurred between two male parties. Officers contacted one of the males at the valet entrance. After the investigation, the other male who fled was the primary aggressor, the victim did not want to press charges.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 11:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a motor vehicle theft. The investigation is still ongoing, and a report has been taken.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 12:15 a.m, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a report of an individual driving under the influence. Upon investigation, the driver was placed under arrest and taken to the Black Hawk Police Department for processing and later released on a Gilpin County summons.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Black Hawk officers were on a REDDI report when they were advised of items that were abandoned, including children's toys, by the suspect who was in custody. Officers conducted a separate investigation due to the suspect being a sex offender, and the abandoned items were seized.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 6:46 a.m., officers pulled over a vehicle that was driving carelessly at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street, the driver was given a warning.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 9:16 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle positioned in the left turn lane at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Mesa. The driver failed to properly signal their intent to turn left, instead activating their right turn signal while executing a left turn. The driver was contacted and was deemed not to be intoxicated. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 9:44 hours, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no number plates attached. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/7/25, officers observed a vehicle going through a stop sign at the intersection of Miners Mesa Road and Bobtail Road. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at the Commons Area. A verbal warning was issued.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 10:16 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for found narcotics. There was no suspect, and the narcotics were booked for destruction.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 10:10 p.m., a reporting party called the Black Hawk Police Department to report that their phone was stolen at the Lodge Casino on Wednesday 10/22/25. A report was taken.

On 11/7/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to Monarch Casino parking garage on a report of a disturbance. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling south on Main Street, for making a U-turn where prohibited. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/7/25, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a scooter theft. A report was taken.


On 11/7/25, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 for driving with an expired temporary permit. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver did not have insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 2:04 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department received a call from Monarch Casino surveillance that reported a REDDI report of an impaired driver leaving the Monarch parking garage. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and, after further investigation, determined that the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested for drinking under the influence, and a report was taken.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 10:52 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with expired license plates of 7/24 at Gregory and Highway 119, northbound intersection. The driver was stopped and could not provide valid insurance. The driver was issued a citation.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 12:44 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino in reference to a report of indecent exposure. After speaking with the complaint, the suspect was located and issued Gilpin County summons.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 3:27 p.m., a Black Hawk officer located a vehicle that was reported a possible intoxicated driver at Richman Street and Main Street, the driver was contacted and given a warning for careless driving.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 7:06 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps as required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 301 Gregory Street for a male suspect throwing a trash can to the ground. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect. Upon contact, the suspect ran up the hill behind the Green Solutions Dispensary at 301 Gregory Street. The suspect was located on the dispensary balcony. The suspect was placed into custody and later released to a legal guardian, and a summons was issued.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 1:02 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for an ID check. The individual left the casino and left the ID. The ID was confiscated and booked as evidence.

On 11/8/25, at approximately 8:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of an intoxicated party who was being aggressive with staff. The intoxicated party left to get a room at another casino, and a report was taken.

On 11/9/25, at approximately 12:06 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a possible discovery of narcotics. The suspect was found at the Lodge Casino and was released. The case was unfounded.

On 11/9/25, at approximately 1:13 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a potential suspect damaging the emergency box on the escalator. After the investigation, due to the casino not being able to give a potential amount of the damages, the suspect was released pending.

On 11/9/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a wallet theft. Upon review of surveillance footage, it was determined that no one accessed the wallet, and it was returned with all its contents.

On 11/9/25, a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Main Street (approximately 30 mph) in a posted 15 mph zone. The officer paced behind the vehicle to determine his approximate speed. The driver was given a warning.

On 11/9/25, at approximately 9:33 p.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate an unknown white powdery substance that was found wrapped in a 20-dollar bill on the casino floor. The substance was collected and, upon further investigation, tested positive for narcotics. A suspect was also identified, and a report was taken.

On 11/10/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of drugs found. No suspect was identified. A small amount of cocaine and mushrooms were found and booked for destruction.

On 11/10/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of Richman Street. The driver was released on a verbal warning for speeding and not using turn signals.

On 11/10/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department were dispatched to a possible domestic violence incident that occurred in the parking garage at the Monarch Casino but the vehicle had left the property. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the occupants. Officers determined a crime had not been committed.

On 11/10/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar parking garage on an in-progress possible physical disturbance between a male and a female. After speaking with both parties involved and reviewing surveillance video of the incident, it was determined that the incident was only a verbal argument, and no crime had been committed by either party.

On 11/10/25, at approximately 6:39 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of an assault. The suspect had left the scene but was identified by her player's card and the video footage. The suspect will be contacted and issued a summons for third-degree assault.

On 11/10/25, at approximately 9:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an unreadable license plate occurring at 7000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/11/25, Black Hawk officers responded to suspicious activity reported by a resident on High Street. Officers located a party in the area that matched the given description. Officers discovered that the contacted party was not involved and released him. Officers cleared the scene.



On 11/11/25, a Black Hawk officer received an item that had been turned in by the fire department. The item was booked into evidence as found and can be returned to its owner.

On 11/11/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a non-injury hit-and-run accident. Both the victim and suspect were casino employees. The suspect was issued a summons for the hit-and-run.

On 11/11/25, a Black Hawk officer investigated a traffic complaint from several parties who observed a vehicle driving aggressively up the canyon several times over the past week. The suspect was contacted and given a verbal warning about his driving.

On 11/11/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Gilpin Casino regarding an intoxicated female. The female refused any medical attention. The operations manager remained on scene with her until a sober party arrived to pick her up. The female was contacted later, and transported to Lutheran Hospital for a detox hold.

On 11/11/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino (488 Main Street) on a report of a trespassed female on the property. She was issued a new trespass notice and left the property without incident.

On 11/12/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated party operating a motor vehicle on the roadway. Officers responded to the area and located the described vehicle. Officers initiated a traffic stop and investigated the report. Officers made an arrest and transported the driver to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/12/25, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated individual in distress. The party was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

On 11/12/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 with expired registration tags and an unreadable license plate. Upon contact, the driver handed officers appropriate documentation. A summons was issued.

On 11/12/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 with expired registration tags of 10/24. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at the 500 block of Main Street. Upon contact, the driver handed officers appropriate documentation. A summons was issued.

On 11/12/25, at approximately 11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a left headlight and a right brake light out. Upon contact, the driver was unable to provide any insurance information. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 2:09 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding suspicious activity. The reporting party believed someone was gaining access to their hotel room and vehicle, messing with numerous items. Upon further investigation, no evidence of a crime was found, and a report was completed.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 1:27 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a hit and run private property damage crash. A report was taken

On 11/13/25, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 4:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were notified by Gilpin Ambulance of a REDDI report, northbound Highway 119 entering Gilpin County. Officers located the vehicle within city limits, observed driving actions, and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was placed into custody and was later transported to detox.

On 11/13/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a damaged slot machine. There is no suspect information, and the investigation is still ongoing. A report was taken.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 10:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 for driving without number plates displayed. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 11:20 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with no license plate traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6. The driver was contacted, who explained that they had just bought the vehicle and provided the proper paperwork to confirm the third-party sale. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 401 Miners Road for an expired plate 10/24. Officers gave a verbal warning due to the driver having just purchased the vehicle.

On 11/13/25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., while doing routine patrol in the Monarch Casino, officers witnessed an intoxicated individual on the gaming floor. The individual was later placed in protective custody and taken to detox.

On 11/14/25, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a disturbance that occurred in a hotel room. The reporting party stated that someone was preventing them from leaving, and they were "thrown around." The reporting party was contacted, and upon further investigation, no evidence of a crime was found. A report was taken.

On 11/14/25, at approximately 8:41 a.m., officers responded to the parking garage of Bally's Casino in reference to a subject removing license plates from a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that the person removing the plates was the registered owner of the vehicle. He did in fact have warrants and was taken into custody without incident.

On 11/14/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Main Street. Officers observed the vehicle crossing over a solid white traffic line and not using a turn signal to merge onto southbound Highway 119 from Main Street. A summons was issued.

On 11/14/25, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the VIP lot of the Gilpin/Lodge Casinos on a report of a hit and run. Upon investigation, the driver of the run vehicle was tracked down, and the parties exchanged information. A report was taken.

On 11/14/25, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for an intoxicated party who was urinating on the casino building. The individual was later placed into protective custody and transported to the Jefferson Center for detox.

On 11/14/25, at approximately 9:35 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a party who wanted to file a police report after losing a $1,000 poker chip they had won, claiming they had accidentally dropped it. Upon further investigation, there was no evidence that the individual had dropped the chip. A report was taken.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 10:02 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on the report of a physical disturbance. A party was arrested.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 12:32 a.m., Black Hawk police officers, along with the help of sheriff deputies from the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office, responded to the Monarch Casino for a possible active domestic disturbance with weapons. Two individuals were contacted in a hotel room. Upon further investigation, the weapon was determined to be an airsoft gun, and no crime was found to have occurred. A report was taken.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 1 a.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Bally's parking garage located at 300 Main Street regarding a property damage accident. A report was taken.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 12:37 a.m., Black Hawk officers were driving westbound on Highway 6 when they witnessed a vehicle driving in front of them, unable to maintain their lane, veering onto the side of the road, and breaking suddenly. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 12:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Miners Road and Highway 119 on a report of a man who jumped in front of a Ramblin Bus. The man claimed someone was trying to kill him and was acting scared. Officers arrived and determined the male might be under the influence of drugs. The male was detained and charged with possession of narcotics. He was transported to the hospital for a medical clearance and then to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 3 a.m., Black Hawk officers were driving and noticed a disturbance outside the Ameristar Casino. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that one individual had multiple outstanding warrants, and the other had violated a protection order. Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 10:52 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with defective brake lamps at Highway 119 and Main Street. Upon stopping, the driver was found to have an open container, no driver's license, and an unsafe vehicle. The driver was cited.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 3:33 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a lost or stolen wallet. After a quick review of the surveillance video, officers were able to determine that it was a theft. The suspect was located and issued a summons for theft.

On 11/15/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino hotel on a report of a possible domestic violence. Investigation was conducted and concluded that there was no crime committed. A report was taken.

On 11/15/25, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a parking complaint at Church Street for a black vehicle parked behind the Copper Kitchen Pizzeria and a black Chevy parked in a residential parking spot. Once officers arrived, officers spoke to a male party sleeping in his vehicle behind the pizzeria. Officers were able to get the male party to move after jump-starting his vehicle, and also issued a parking violation for the Chevy pickup.

On 11/16/25, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for an individual who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the individual was later pronounced deceased.

On 11/16/25, at approximately 2:41 a.m., a Black Hawk officer contacted a reporting party who reported that his wallet was lost while at the Ameristar Casino. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the wallet had been stolen. A report was taken. The subject was identified and issued a summons.

On 11/16/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to an intoxicated party at the Horseshoe Casino in the poker room. Upon arrival, officers tried to talk to the male party. The male party was not cooperative. While talking with the male party, a female party who was associated with the male party was taken into custody for violation of a protection order, and after being searched for incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was found in her bag. The male party was placed into custody for disorderly conduct and obstruction.

On 11/16/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of suspicious activity involving a male party possibly attempting to rob another party. No suspect was identified.

On 11/16/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a request for an identification check. The party was over the age of twenty-one, but left without incident when the casino asked them to do so.

On 11/16/25, at approximately 5:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers assisted the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office with a pursuit of a vehicle that ended on Chase Street at the trail parking area at the end of the street. The suspect's vehicle had been stolen during a carjacking (robbery) in Boulder County. The suspect driver fled onto the trails. Jeffco Sheriff's Office K9 and drone were used to attempt to locate the suspect. The suspect was not found. Black Hawk Police assisted with the search and maintaining a perimeter.

On 11/16/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling on the roadway without rear lamps illuminated. Officers conducted a traffic stop and advised the driver of the lights. Officers issued a verbal warning and cleared the scene.

On 11/17/25, all Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck hotel desk on the report of an aggravated robbery of an employee that occurred at level two of the Lady Luck garage. The suspect was identified, and it was discovered that he had been involved in another carjacking. It was also discovered that the suspect was involved in a felony domestic incident for which a warrant was issued out of the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

On 11/18/25, at approximately 3:46 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. A suspect provided false identifying information to law enforcement and was later positively identified. An investigation is ongoing and a report was completed.

On 11/18/25, a Black Hawk officer was contacted by a Lakewood Detective requesting information on a case involving threatening emails and calls to a Monarch employee.

On 11/18/25, at approximately 11:53 p.m., a Black Hawk officer took a phone report of a theft that occurred on 11/16/25 at the Ameristar Casino.

On 11/19/25, Black Hawk officers responded to Horseshoe Casino on a report of an unconscious, not breathing party at the hotel. Officers performed CPR until medics arrived. Officers investigated the scene and discovered that an associated female on scene had multiple warrants for her arrest. Officers located the female and placed her into custody.

On 11/19/25, a Black Hawk officer completed a telephone report regarding property that had been lost the previous day at the Horseshoe Casino. The items were not found, and it is unclear exactly where they were lost.

On 11/19/25, a Black Hawk officer was conducting an area check at the Monarch Casino. During the area check, a Colorado plate was removed from a vehicle due to misuse of plates.

On 11/19/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Peak to Peak Liquor Store on the report of drugs found. A small baggie containing a white powdery substance was recovered and will be booked for destruction.

On 11/19/25, at approximately 10:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps required. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 12:56 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary tag occurring at the 500 block of Main Street. The driver had plates issued to the vehicle but had yet to attach them. A verbal warning was given and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 for driving without headlights. Upon contact, the driver was unable to provide valid proof of insurance. The driver was issued a municipal summons.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 1:39 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with an expired temporary plate 7/25 in the 5800 block of Highway 119 going northbound. Upon stopping, the driver's license was cancelled. The driver was given a citation.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on a report of a found substance. No suspects were identified, and the substance was booked for destruction.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 5:19 p.m., a vehicle was observed in the left-turn-only lane at the intersection of Main Street and Richman Street. The vehicle then proceeded straight, traveling west on Main from the turn-only lane, cutting off a Black Hawk officer. A driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 5:52 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates attached. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 6:28 p.m., a vehicle was observed exiting the Horseshoe parking garage and failed to stop at the stop sign, cutting into oncoming traffic. A traffic stop was conducted, and a driver was contacted, who stated they didn't see the sign. The driver was issued a municipal summons for disregarding a traffic control device.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 7:05 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle at the intersection of northbound Highway 119 and Gregory Street with an expired Colorado temporary tag from October 24. The driver was issued a penalty assessment for the expired temp and driving without a license.

On 11/20/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of threats over the phone. A report was taken.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 7:27 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling on Gregory Street, without their headlights on. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/20/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 with no license plate. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle but the vehicle made a U-turn at Highway 119 and Main Street and sped off away from officers. A report was taken.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 9:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired license plate 9/25 at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa. After further investigation, the vehicle registration was recently updated by the DMV, and the driver hadn't received their new license plate tag. A verbal warning was given.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 9:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use its turn signal while making a right-hand turn from Gregory onto Main Street. Upon contact, the driver did not have proof of insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 11/20/25, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 with expired plates. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.


On 11/20/25, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street with expired plates. Upon contact, the driver did not have proof of insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Oldsmobile with no plate. The driver was issued a warning due to another call for service.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 3:51 a.m., Black Hawk officers received a REDDI report leaving the Ameristar casino. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested and issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 6:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying expired registration. Upon investigation, the driver had updated the registration but failed to apply the current sticker. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 9:39 p.m., Black Hawk officers contacted a suspicious vehicle at Rim Rock. The occupants were identified and were advised to move along.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 9:51 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light. Upon investigation, the driver was found to be operating without a valid driver's license or insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons and a no insurance suspension form.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 10:52 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with an expired Colorado temporary tag speeding westbound on Main Street from Bally’s East. The driver was issued a penalty assessment for the expired temporary tag.

On 11/21/25, at approximately 9:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 1500 block of Lake Gulch Road. After the investigation, the Colorado State Patrol was called due to the accident not being in city limits.

On 11/22/25, at approximately 2:23 a.m., officers were on foot at the Monarch Casino when they were waved down by Casino security, who reported finding a small bag containing an unknown powdery substance. The substance was later tested to be positive for narcotics. A suspect was located and issued a summons.

On 11/22/25, at approximately 4:22 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a theft of property. The suspect was no longer at the scene, and this case remains active.

On 11/22/25, a Black Hawk officer received a lost property incident, alleged to have taken place at the Lady Luck Hotel. A report was taken.

On 11/22/25, officers observed a vehicle with no plates at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a warning.

On 11/22/25 at 2:34 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino Hotel located at 488 Main Street for a possible domestic. An investigation was conducted and a person was arrested.

On 11/23/25, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a possible shots fired outside of the Century Casino in Central City as an assist to Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. Black Hawk officers entered Central City from Gregory Street and saw several people trying to get officers' attention. The group were Bond Agents with the Mile High Fugitive Recovery Unit and were in contact with a suspect who had a warrant. The suspect tried to evade arrest and fell into a ravine, injuring his ankle. No shots were fired and the reporting party observed Bond Agents with less lethal devices. Their information was verified and the suspect was transported to the hospital. The area around Century Casino was checked and no other criminal activity was observed.

On 11/23/25, a Black Hawk officer took a report regarding theft of money. The money was later turned into an officer by the suspect, and it was returned to the victim, who did not want to press charges.

On 11/23/25, at approximately 6:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a welfare check. The male party was contacted by officers and spoke with his family, letting them know he was okay.


On 11/23/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino on a report of lost property. Officers have asked surveillance to start a review of the camera footage to attempt to locate the lost property. Officers will stay in contact with the casino for any updates.

On 11/23/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on the roadway that had a temporary tag that was unreadable. Officers conducted a traffic stop and inquired about the tag. The driver had an appointment to replace the unreadable tag. Officers issued a warning and cleared the scene.

On 11/23/25, at approximately 11:39 p.m., a Black Hawk sergeant contacted an intoxicated male that had run from security at the Ameristar Casino. The subject was found to have committed no crimes at the casino and was released to a sober adult.

On 11/24/25, at approximately 12:35 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a penalty assessment for driving without a license, and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/24/25, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of damaged property. The suspect left the scene and a warrant will be issued for his arrest.

On 11/24/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a cellphone theft. The suspect was contacted, which led to a foot pursuit. The male was arrested on charges of theft and obstructing a peace officer.

On 11/24/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle drive through a red light. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a warning for the traffic violation. Officers cleared the scene.

On 11/24/25, at approximately 7:51 p.m., a Black Hawk officer observed a Ford Bronco traveling at a high rate of speed (over the posted 15 mph) on northbound Main Street from the Monarch Casino. The Sergeant completed a traffic stop and the driver received a verbal warning for his speed.

On 11/24/25, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a missing person/welfare check. The reporting party was concerned over recent behaviors from her daughter and she wanted her checked. Contact was made with the daughter and she was not in any danger or distress.

On 11/24/25, at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for conducting a prohibited U-turn at Main Street and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/24/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on the roadway without headlights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued a verbal warning.

On 11/25/25, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on a report of suspicious activity involving potentially fraudulent checks. An investigation is ongoing and a report was completed.

On 11/25/25, at approximately 12:18 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for impeding traffic at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 11/25/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found drugs. No suspect was identified.

On 11/25/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the area of Highway 119 at the 5.8 mile marker on a report of a possible intoxicated party driving into the City of Black Hawk. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop to ensure the driver's safety. Officers determined that the driver was not intoxicated and was safe to drive. Officers cleared the scene.

On 11/26/25, a Black Hawk officer responded to Bally's West on a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered at the Ameristar garage. The suspect was contacted and released on a summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

On 11/26/25, Black Hawk officers responded to Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party having a mental health episode. Black Hawk officers assisted until medical personnel arrived on scene, where they eventually transported a male party to the hospital for further evaluation.

On 11/26/25, at approximately 6:22 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated individual attempting to fight staff and refusing to leave. The party refused to leave when trespassed, and when handcuffs were applied the suspect obstructed with force. The party was arrested for obstruction and trespassing.

On 11/26/25, officers observed the vehicle following too closely in the 300 block of Gregory Street. The driver was contacted and given a verbal warning.

On 11/26/25, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/26/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle with expired registration tags of 3/25. The driver was issued a summons.

On 11/26/25, at approximately 7:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps as required. Upon investigation, the driver had a misdemeanor warrant and was concealing a Schedule II narcotic in his anal cavity.

On 11/26/25, Black Hawk officers stopped a vehicle that passed an officer on a traffic stop at a high rate of speed. The driver volunteered to do roadside maneuvers and was arrested for DUI and other charges. A report was taken.


On 11/26/25, at approximately 9:57 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with no headlights illuminated going westbound on Main Street from the Lodge Casino. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 11/26/25, at approximately 10:49 p.m., for a stolen cell phone at the Gilpin Casino. After the investigation, the suspect left the city. This case will be active.

On 11/26/25, at approximately 10:57 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to obey the slow down move over law occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 10:38 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling westbound on Main Street from the Gilpin Casino with an expired Colorado temporary tag of 11/15/25. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 11:39 p.m., a Black Hawk officer was flagged down at the intersection of Gregory Street and Spring Street in Central City by an individual who stated they had been hit and needed help. The officer called the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office for assistance, and Gilpin County took over the investigation.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 1:34 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate traveling southbound from Highway 119 and mile marker 6. A driver was contacted who had three warrants for their arrest. The driver was taken into custody and was later transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 2:03 a.m., officers contacted a pedestrian walking on Highway 119 between Main Street and Miners Road. The party was given a courtesy transport off the highway and a field interview report was completed.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 10:07 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage on the report of an unconscious, not breathing party. CPR and narcan were administered, and the party was resuscitated.

On 11/27/25, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a driver traveling southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 for driving without headlights. Upon contact, the driver was unable to provide valid insurance and did not possess a valid driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 12:28 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to an AOA Gaming for underage male party gaming at the Monarch Casino. All involved parties' information was gathered. Monarch will notify gaming through the portal.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 1:02 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a welfare check of an intoxicated party. Upon contact, the intoxicated individual was taken into protective custody and transported to a local area hospital.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 3:23 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a trespassed individual on the property. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant and was subsequently transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 3:52 a.m., officers were informed by Monarch Security staff that a wanted individual was on site and currently in the parking garage located at the casino. The individual was contacted, and upon further investigation, it was determined that they were not the wanted individual.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 5:17 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated party. The party was taken into protective custody due to intoxication, and a family member picked the party up.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 10:25 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with no license plate in the 500 block of Main Street. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was given a warning.

On 11/28/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling east at the 500 block of Main Street with its blinker on and observed the vehicle weaving. Officers followed the vehicle southbound Highway 119 and observed the vehicle continuing to weave in the lane. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Verbal warning was issued

On 11/28/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was collected and booked in for evidence. A report was taken.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 9:14 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling eastbound on Main Street from the Monarch Casino without its headlights on. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers contacted a suspicious vehicle whose license plate did not match the vehicle information at the North Clear Creek Water Treatment plant. Upon further investigation, the driver was identified as the registered owner of the vehicle.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 9:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle sliding down Gregory Street on black ice. The vehicle hit the curb and bent an axle, which made it undrivable. The vehicle was towed, and a report was taken.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 10:17 p.m., Black Hawk officers initiated a traffic stop near Gregory and Church for a driver who continued on a closed roadway due to snow and a traffic accident. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 11/28/25, at approximately 11:17 p.m., a Black Hawk officer assisted the Colorado State Patrol in conducting a DUI investigation at the Coyote Motel. The driver of the vehicle was later taken into custody by CSP.


On 11/29/25, at approximately 3:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Monarch Valet for a disturbance. On scene, three females and two males were contacted and were intoxicated. Officers arrested the two males and transported them to the Gilpin County Jail and released the three females on summons.

On 11/29/25, at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino in reference to a report of a stolen scooter. A theft report was completed regarding the incident.

On 11/29/25, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a theft of a tablet. The suspect was contacted and placed into custody. A report was taken.

On 11/29/25, at approximately 6:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a lost phone. Upon investigation, the phone was recovered and returned to the individual who lost it.

On 11/29/25, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance that occurred. After investigation, the initial individual who had wanted the police left and was found to be a suspect involved in a ticket theft. A report was taken.

On 11/29/25, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 200 block of Bobtail Road for failure to yield coming out of the Saratoga garage. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning.

On 11/29/25, at approximately 11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light and failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. The driver was issued a municipal penalty assessment.

On 11/29/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling east on Main Street with no headlights. Officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 6. A verbal warning was issued.

On 11/30/25, at approximately 3 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Horseshoe Casino for an adult male who appeared to be under the influence of drugs and went unconscious. On scene, the male was breathing and after being evaluated by medics, was transported to the hospital.

On 11/30/25, at approximately 2:41 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a physical disturbance on the walkway behind Lodge Casino. Officers arrived in the area, and a male and a female fled on foot towards the Ameristar. Officers located them with the assistance of surveillance and placed both people into custody.

On 11/30/25, at approximately 8:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino Hotel, on a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female patron who wanted her male companion out of her room. The male party left when asked to leave.

On 11/30/25, at approximately 10:11 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of a theft. The investigation is ongoing, a report was completed.
