Dear Editor,
Being a host family is an incredible opportunity to gain a new family member across the globe and make the world feel a little bit smaller.
Host families provide a loving home with a bedroom (though one can be shared with the same gender) and meals within the home (students can eat lunch at school). Our students will attend the public high school closest to their host family and can take school transportation or carpool.
They speak good English and have their own spending money to cover their personal expenses. They also come with medical insurance and 24/hr support through our organization.
Our students are arriving in the fall for the 2026-2027 school year, so we are seeking hosts who can welcome a student this August or early September. Hosts can choose the hosting duration that works best for them, from eight weeks, a semester, or full school year.
Thank you for spreading the word about the experience of a lifetime for our international students. So many of them have worked and waited for this year, and we can’t wait to meet them.
If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to reach Juli Prskalo (CIEE Regional Director) at 458-600-7706 or email jprskalo@ciee.org.
