Boulder Rotary Club has teamed with Boulder’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to get every county resident signed up with the Emergency Alert System.
Boulder County is one of the state’s most vulnerable areas for wildfires. Signing up for emergency alerts is the first step in any emergency preparedness plan. The Emergency Alert System will immediately alert everyone on this list of impending disasters and action to be taken.
California, Florida, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico are the top five states in terms of the number of homes susceptible to wildfire damage according to CoreLogic estimates, and wildfires have grown in frequency and severity.
