On Saturday, August 21, 2021, Timberline Fire assisted Gilpin based Axe & Snax to process slash at Station 3 in Rollinsville.
Station 3 is shared with Gilpin Road and Bridge, and was used for this project because it has an appropriate sized parking lot in North Gilpin County.
Axe & Snax assisted people lacking a way to haul slash, by bringing slash to a location where it could reduced to wood chips, and hauled away.
The group retrieved slash from 9 households, with the help of 15 volunteers. And the volunteers prepared an amazing lunch for 30+ volunteers, firefighters and staff.
