This marinade on chicken is delicious. It is great on the grill or in the oven. It goes well with corn on the cob, a green salad, or a cucumber salad.
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 teaspoons soy sauce
3 teaspoons honey
2 Tablespoons tomato sauce or sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 spring onions (scallions) finely chopped
3 pounds chicken wings
Instructions
To make the marinade combine the garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, tomato sauce, sesame oil, and spring onions in a bowl.
Pour over the chicken, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for two hours or overnight if possible.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook, in batches, turning once, for 20 -25 minutes, or until cooked and golden brown. Make extra marinade and baste while cooking and serve extra as a sauce.
*Chicken can be baked in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until cooked through. Turn the chicken over halfway through cooking.
*Other cuts of chicken can be used like chicken thighs, drumsticks, and breast.
