The workshops will be taught by Wes Stiefer. Wes is a former community college professor of accounting and economics and currently owns and operates an income tax and accounting firm in Nederland. Trivia Night @ Salto Coffee Works:

Friday, April 22nd, starts 6:30 pm sharp

Entry fee $10 / team. With questions contributed by the Food Pantry. Enter as a team of 2-4 friends, coworkers or family members working together to answer questions from 10 categories. Prizes will be awarded to the top trivia teams! Space is limited - the last two were full - so please call the library to reserve a spot for your team 303.258.1101

Special April Programming - Dance and (Play-Ground) Theater

Join us in welcoming the CU Department of Theater and Dance as they perform, “The Presidents!” Friday April 15th at 4 PM. This event is free and open to the public.

Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day that’s fun for the whole family? Look no further than “The Adventures of Supernatural!” performed by our very own Play-Ground Theater! Jeff and Mia are back Friday, April 22nd at 4:00 PM to save the planet from toxic waste... And have some fun in the meantime. Free.

Afterschool Math Enrichment (3rd - 5th graders)

Free, starting Tuesday, April 5th, from 3:30-4:30 PM

This five ­week math enrichment program will help participants develop their conceptual understanding of various mathematical topics. They will participate in exciting hands-­on explorations and tasks that further their mathematical thinking. In addition, participants will have access to help with math homework and any math topics they are currently finding difficult. This program is offered for kids in 3rd-5th grade and will meet weekly until May 3rd. Sign up at the Library or by calling 303-258-1101 today!

Chess & Board Game Club

Every Thursday from 3:15 - 5:00 pm (thru April) *please note - there will be no club on Thursday, April 7th.

This club is designed for elementary-aged kids that are able to read up to 6th grade. Older youth are welcome to watch, help, or play. Popcorn is provided. Our board games range from classics like Monopoly and Apples to Apples to more advanced ones like Settlers of Catan.

Parents - if your child will be taking the school bus to the library, you must send a note to school and email me ahead of time. We will meet them at the bus - it stops at the back corner of the library, on W 3rd.  jaymann.ncl@gmail.com

Monthly Events:

Quirky Quilters, Tuesday, April 5th, from 10:30 am - Noon. Join our quilting group led by long-time quilter Bette Ventrella. Get to know area stitchers. Learn techniques, share ideas and inspirations. Drop-ins/all ages/skill levels are welcome. Bring your projects for Show and Tell!

Ned Knits, Saturday, April 23rd, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Ned Knits is a community knitting group - all levels welcome. Join this ongoing group - bring along your own knitting or contribute to our community knitting projects.

Writer’s Circle

Tuesday, April 12th at 5:00 pm

Community writing group for adults. Get feedback and share ideas!

Every Tuesday we offer drop-in help with technology (computers, devices, eReaders, email, and more).
