Appreciation abounds at Roy’s Last Shot

Posted

Ela Mirowski, Gilpin County. It was December 22, 2019, and the festivities leading up to Christmas were in full swing.  We headed out to Roy’s Last Shot for their customer appreciation party. My husband drives one of the school buses servicing Gilpin County, so we thought it would be a great opportunity to see some of the kids and parents from his route. With a bluegrass pick in full swing and a continuously stocked buffet with everyone’s favorite holiday foods, it was a genuine crowd pleaser.

No Christmas celebration would be complete without Santa. His room was stocked full of gifts ranging from stuffed animals, to Star Wars action figures, and the big prize of two new bicycles. Toys weren’t the only gifts of the afternoon. The best moment was a little girl approaching Santa with excitement and then giving him a big hug. Many thanks to Roy and his crew for putting on a great party for the community!
