Community event at NES: Just as she is leaving on maternity leave first grade teacher Jamie Curry and her family come as Winnie the Pooh characters. PHOTO BY SARA SANDSTROM[/caption]
The Nederland Elementary PTA hosted their annual Trick or Trunk event at the Nederland Elementary School (NES) parking lot on October 28. Decorated vehicles filled the parking lot and costumed children, teens and adults enjoyed the mild weather visiting with each other and collecting candy.
It is fun to see how creative the community can be while decorating their vehicles. This year there were astronauts, chickens, a haunted bus and ambulance, Star Wars, Bob’s Burgers and so much more. And the costumes people came in seem to be getting more clever each year.
It was an enjoyable evening of a community coming together to enjoy some Halloween fun.
