Anna Marie DeShincoe was born on July 26, 1949, in Hanover, Kansas. She passed away in Arvada, Colorado where she spent a short period of time in a memory facility. She suffered from a stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side. Exactly one month later, on January 31, 2019, at 12:51 a.m., she passed peacefully in her sleep.

Anna was born to Zigmunt and Sophia Babinicz. She was very proud to be her family’s first generation in America from Poland. She grew up in Hammond, Indiana and always joked that she was born in between Michael Jackson (Gary, Indiana) and Obama (Chicago, Illinois). She was playful and up-beat until her last breath!
Anna had a younger sister, Giga Babinicz, and an older brother, Albert Babinicz.
Anna and her husband, James Bennett were long-time residents of Ward, Colorado. Anna and James raised 3 children, Freedom (47), Clifford (37), and Alexis (34) in Ward. They all graduated from Nederland High School.
Anna’s lust for life was a bright ray and a breath of fresh air. She would hug a stranger as easily as her own family member. She had a wit like no one else and could make even the grumpiest person laugh out loud! Anna loved to dance and would be the first one on the dance floor as well as the last one to leave. She was truly a dancing machine!
There will be a celebration of her life on March 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Ward Church. There will be music, libations, stories shared and, of course, dancing! Please join her family and her friends to celebrate the amazing woman she was and will always be in our hearts. Please bring a beverage or snack to share.
Kochamy Cię, Anna! (We Love you Anna in Polish).
