Purpose inspires hope and enjoyment: The Old Gallery Annual Gala gets underway with hors d’oeuvre and socializing. PHOTO BY OMAYRA ACEVEDO[/caption]
There was a slight chill in the air on Saturday, July 8, 2023, as the drizzle fell on the shoulders of guests who approached The Old Gallery (TOG) around 5 p.m. TOG is a nonprofit in Allenspark dedicated to providing its surrounding communities with a center for events, art, and visitor information.
During TOG’s 14th Annual Gala, nearly 100 guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction, a wine pull, a live auction, and dinner courtesy of A Spice of Life. The evening ended with the Dan Crane Community Excellence Award Presentation.
Singer-songwriter Tim Merkel serenaded the crowd with an array of familiar songs from Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, and John Prine, to name a few.
The gala is a fundraiser for TOG and all the services it offers visitors, including concerts, open mic, educational presentations, painting classes, trivia nights, a chili cookoff, community potlucks, bingo, and more.
The Old Gallery is located at 14863 Highway 7, Allenspark. You can find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheAPOldGallery or you can give them a call at 303-747-2906.
