AGMF scholarships for Gilpin residents

Posted

Dear Editor,

The Alan Green Memorial Foundation (AGMF) is a non-profit organization in Gilpin County. It was founded in 1983 by family and friends of Alan Green. Alan’s parents were Ken and Lela Green who lived in Gilpin County.

Ken and Lela lost their only son Alan and his wife Judy in a commercial plane crash. The foundation was formed in Alan’s name and continues to support members of the Gilpin County community in many ways.

Over $275,000 in scholarships and grants have been awarded in the past. We are happy to announce that we will be awarding a new set of grants this fall.

The AGMF is now accepting grant applications from groups, programs or events. The application should include a description of the program, the intended use of the money, and a breakdown of the costs associated with the requested amount. Please include the number of Gilpin County residents that will be participating or impacted by the program, group or event. If the organization is outside of Gilpin County, please include the number of participants residing in Gilpin County that will be involved. If the application is connected to a school, it must include an official school letter stating the number of Gilpin County students that will be involved.

For more information and to find the applications, please visit the website at: alangreenmemorialfoundation.org. If you have any questions, please contact the Alan Green Memorial Foundation at alangreenfdn@gmail.com.

All documents must be submitted as a PDF. Applications MUST be received by September 30. No late applications will be considered.

Thank you,

Kellie Bayne
