Dear Editor,
I would like to point out something missing from an article in The Mountain-Ear (“The beauty of a medical convergence,” June 27, 2024) which mentioned the Clinica/Mental Health Partners merger. The article focused on Clinica’s established presence in Nederland & mid-Gilpin County, but skipped over Mental Health Partners existing presence and availability for our mountain residents.
Mental Health Partners has had an established clinic that operates within the Clinica location at 80 Big Springs Drive in Nederland for over two years now. They are offering therapy, case management, and peer support services to people with Medicaid (which may expand to other insurance providers after the merger). They also help clients gain Medicaid benefits if they are eligible and in need, and they offer financial assistance to those who may not qualify for Medicaid. This is a very valuable resource to those in our community who are seeking immediate mental health and life skills management services.
To get started with Mental Health Partners, readers can call 303-443-8500 or visit https://mhpcolorado.org/getstarted.
