Dear Editor,
I have a suggestion for the new Nederland logo. Local artist Greg Marquez’s gorgeous mural of surreally colored local wildlife currently greets Nederland visitors as they come into town. PAY THE LOCAL ARTIST for rights to use his mural on the Nederland logo. Pay Greg Marquez and other talented local artists to miniaturize the mural so that its critters can crowd onto t-shirts or circle around mugs. Logo (free!): “welcome to Nederland.” Or include the mural’s title: “A Great Good Place.”
