This week is Volume 44, Issue 52. That means it’s the last edition of our 44th year of publishing.
When I bought the paper, I had no idea what I was getting into. My goal was to save it. I didn’t know it would become a career that would last a lot of my adult life.
Each week, I focus on finding new and innovative ways to keep our readers engaged. New ways to cover more news, with less financial support. I brainstorm with community members, business owners, neighbors, friends and even with many others that run publications near and far. I attend about a dozen meetings each week to understand what is happening in my community, and by community I mean the greater Peak to Peak region.
My latest newspaper meeting was held at Howlin’ Wind Brewing & Blending in Rollinsville. I handed out 13 papers, multiple media kits, and talked with locals about what they like or dislike about the newspaper. And I had beers with you, our readers and supporters.
The next News & Brews will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, location Very Nice Brewing Company, 20 E. Lakeview Drrive, Unit 111 in Nederland. I hope you will join me for the next news discussion!
