Dear Editor,
Thank you Nederland for embracing the 2nd Annual Nederland Jazz & Wine Festival! We keep replaying the wonders of our spectacular day and owe everything to our town and community to make this annual event a reality.
While we’ve received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, the unfortunate circumstance of being sold out and having limited space meant we had to turn many people away. The VIP Experience was sold out three months ago, and the non-transferable tickets were highly coveted. We have learned many lessons, including how to more clearly communicate about such non-transferable tickets well in advance.
Most of our attendees arrived by 1 p.m., so those arriving after 2:30 p.m., forcing their way in while visibly intoxicated, created a challenge that we will overcome with more grace next year. Ned Jazz Wine looks forward to refining the process and making sure the locals know how and when to procure their tickets.
With the utmost appreciation for trying and tasting new things.
