On Saturday, December 9, and Sunday, December 10, 2023, the Gilpin County Community Center (GCCC) gave residents, tourists, and local artisans another reason why the center is important to the community.
The center celebrated its 20th Annual Winter Arts Festival the only way it knows how: with flair and the community in mind. Children’s cookie crafting area, burritos, coffee, holiday treats, and chili created mouth-watering experiences.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus greeted guests with the sweet and jolly sounds of singing, and memorable photo opportunities. Breathtaking photography, homemade jewelry, pottery, candles, and fiber art were among the eclectic goodies sold by local artisans.
Live music added to the ambiance and helped enlighten everyone with the holiday spirit. The Winter Arts Festival is one of many reasons the Gilpin County Community Center is a staple in and for the community.
Need more reason to support the GCCC? Here are two upcoming reasons: Parents Night Out on Friday, December 15, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m., and the Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, December 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Gilpin County Community Center is located at 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk. You can find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/gilpincounty.org, or you can call them at 303-582-1453.
