Hope Jordan, Executive Director, NDDA. In 2020, the Nederland Downtown Development Authority continued to develop projects that support the economic vitality of the Downtown District. Projects funded with TIF included:
Big Springs Parking: engineering and design phase.
Nederland Public Art Plan: nedpublicart@gmail.com The community-member based committee is holding regular meetings. They are interested in community input.
Small Business Covid Relief Funds: Stop Gap Relief Fund Grant and the Reimbursable Fund Grant were a great success.
District Beautification: The NDDA provided funds to the Town of Nederland for 2020 Holiday lights. During the summer the NDDA flowers the downtown area. In 2015 the NDDA purchased a snow plow for sidewalks. Thanks to Town Staff for partnering with the NDDA for snow removal.
Wayfinding: Merje Design was approved to lead the project. Contact the NDDA and share your ideas!
Guercio Field Electrical Hook-up: Event support at Guercio Field. This project is complete. Now the Public Art Committee will work with local artists on how to integrate public art on the electrical box housing.
Covid Porta-Potties: The NDDA funded several porta-potties through the district to relieve stress on businesses.
Funds supporting the NFD Fire Inspection Program: Cheers to the Nederland Fire Department for keeping district businesses safe.
Town of Nederland and NDDA: Downtown District Infrastructure Partnerships.
Jefferson Street and Visitor Center parking lot rehabilitation: No more potholes! Connectivity and a great space for the Art Festival, gardens, electrical charges. Visit the Town of Nederland website to view design images.
