Dear Editor,
Did you realize that we recently passed the 100th day of the school year?
This has been a school year unlike any other, and there’s a lot to celebrate for making it through these first 100 days!
It’s a day traditionally celebrated with first-grade posters full of cotton balls and Fruit Loops. This year we didn’t get to walk the halls of NES viewing the creations of bright little minds but I would still like to recognize and congratulate educators, staff, parents/caregivers and, of course, students on making it to this milestone.
You have worked so hard and handled these extenuating circumstances with flexibility, patience, persistence, hard work, humor, heart and grace.
Whether teaching/learning in school or remotely there has been remarkable effort made by all.
I hope each and every one of you are proud of your accomplishments. Keep up the good work! Spring is around the corner and the finish line is in sight.
You’ve got this!
Jen Karowe
