The Slaughterhouse Fire was reported at 3:07 pm is approximately 2.8 miles from Buckingham Park near James Canyon Drive in Jamestown. The fire is currently at 0.10 acres with smoldering and creeping fire behavior. Zero rate of spread was reported with moderate spread potential. No structures threatened at this time. Resources responding are U.S. Forest Service, Lefthand and Jamestown FD. Fire has been determined as lightning caused. A helicopter is making water drops in area until 6:30 p.m. tonight.
