Brooke Perry, Nederland. Hub Ned, the only coworking space in Nederland and even the Peak to Peak region, offers a comfortable and visionary community space for coworking and a “place to build community.” Features include “amazingly fast” fiber-optic WIFI, a proactive and beautiful space, and all the functions needed to get out of the home to collaborate and feel focused. Established on December 15, 2007, Hub Ned embodies the vision Jen and Steve Karowe had for a space where locals could work remotely, with internet they could count on. They had space and desired to utilize it to benefit the community; with mountain communities having a more difficult time acquiring excellent internet services and the need for locals to have a workspace closer to home than the city, they coined the tagline, “Work Where You Live.” Before starting this proactive space for the community to work in, Steve Karowe ran an import business for over 30 years, and Jen Karowe worked in marketing and communications for Ball Aerospace for 15 years. “I love meeting new people, getting to know our members, and being able to help them be productive so that they can enjoy the rest of their day,” said Jen Karowe. “I enjoy creating space where people feel welcome and comfortable, and that is conducive to focusing on the task at hand and getting the job done.” Just as the dynamic workspace created a sense of community and a proactive space to work out in the open, they were struck by the pandemic. Flexibility and the need for a space for the community left Jen and Steve Karowe rolling with the punches thrown by Covid. But now, they recently increased membership at Hub Ned, and the loosening COVID restrictions imply a positive prognosis for the future. “We listen to our members and build relationships…we work hard to take care of every person who comes to Hub Ned,” said Jen Karowe. “We would like to see increased energy and collaboration within the coworking community and hope to support those who need a place to host an event, be that a workshop or a celebration.” Hub Ned is also available beyond the workspace for renting space for private events in the evenings and on the weekends! Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HubNedSpace. Website: http://www.hubned.com. Instagram is https://www.instagram.com/hubned/. You will find Hub Ned at 80 Big Springs Drive in Nederland. For additional information, call 303-848-2520 or email host@hubned.com.
