Fly Rod Building Class

Saturdays October 19,  12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Class is open to everyone over the age of 12. Veterans attending the class will be sponsored by the VFW. Learn the functions of the fly rod, how to spine the rod blank, measure for guide placement, prep the guide for feet, thread wraps, attach the tip top, reel seats and grip and how to apply the epoxy finish.

Spooky Trick or Treat Stroll

Friday, October 25,  5 to 8 p.m. at the Gilpin County Community Center. School Carnival, Haunted Trail, JKQ BBQ, and more. A fundraiser for school clubs.  

Cardio Dance Class

Saturdays, October 19 and 26 and Saturday, November 2, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Ages 14 and up.  $42 for adults and $33 for seniors  or adults can drop in for $11 and $9 for seniors. Cardio Dance combines high-energy music with fun, easy-to-follow moves that will get you sweating and smiling in no time. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or looking to shake up your fitness regimen, Cardio Dance is for everyone!

Eagles Teen Program – After School Monday-Thursday 4:15-7:15 p.m.

We’ll be providing transportation from Gilpin County school and will be running an after-school program from 4  to 7:15 p.m., Mondays – Thursdays! Daily program is free after $25/annual registration fee.

Outdoor gear rentals NOW AVAILABLE at the Community Center made possible by our partnership with ACA!

Outdoor gear can be rented Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prices vary for gear rentals. For more information please visit https://www.alwayschooseadventures.org/gearlibrary.

Friends of the Gilpin County Community Center’s “Heart of the Community” Fund supports residents in need with family punch cards for daily admissions, as well as scholarships for youth who need help to cover youth sports and classes. Senior Fit: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Senior Lunch: Wednesday and Friday, 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.

Pickleball: (First 30 minutes is for instruction/practice; no games at this time)

Monday and Wednesday,  8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Friday 1 to 4 p.m.

Aquafit: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. 

Gilpin Stitchers Club: second and fourth Mondays of each month 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Master Swim: Monday and Wednesday, 6  to 7:30 p.m.

Lap Swim: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8  to 9:30 a.m.
